2 States, an upcoming release starring Arjun Kapoor & Alia Bhatt sees the coming together of two producers, Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala, who’ve very recently had a release each in the form of Hasee toh Phasee and Highway. The album is scored by Karan Johar’s favorites Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy who return to familiar terrains. Karan Johar’s production is something that S-E-L, by now, know inside out. Having given some chartbusters for Dharma previously, they return after a brief period to their home territory. So how does the album do? Does it offer the listeners something fresh? Is it a re-hash of their previous numbers? Let’s take a look! The album opens with ‘Offo’, sung by lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya and Aditi Singh Sharma. The song has a catchy hook, lively synth and trance sounds, but it proceeds in a manner that makes you anticipate the chorus of Wake up Sid. While a refreshing listen, this song carries a lot of elements from the tracks S-E-L have given previously for Dharma and Excel in movies such as Wake up Sid, ZNMD, and Dil Chahta Hai.

M.I.A. released an eight-minute mix of new material today as the soundtrack for the fashion house Kenzo's Fall/Winter 2013 collection at its Paris Fashion Week show. She also made the track available for streaming this morning on the website MatangiMixtape.com. The track shares a name with M.I.A.'s upcoming fourth album (the title references a Hindu goddess as well as M.I.A.'s birthname), and might give some hint of what to expect from Matangi. The new album is due sometime late this spring or summer.

And now…the rowdiest of the three new songs by Skrillex from his EP Leaving. This one sounds like Skrillex to the fullest, with real hard womps and transformer sounding mechanisms going off in the background. Listen closely enough and you’ll recognize some of Skrillex’ other songs have been sampled into this song called Scary Bolly Dub. In some weird way this song is kind of scary, so it’s been titled perfectly. There’s been a ton of speculation as to whether the other two tracks on the EP are even Skrillex, but there’s no doubt this one is a birth child of himself. Get Your Earz Wet!
