Videos : Wonder Girls : I Feel You

Earlier this month, super-popular K-pop group Wonder Girls released new teaser pictures of their comeback. Given the fact they are now a four-member band, the new album was titled REBOOT. Needless to say, the new teaser pictures hyped up life-long fans of Wonder Girls, who’ve been waiting for almost three years to see new material come from them.

However, there was one underlying fear said fans had about Wonder Girls and that is how they would function as a band. Since their debut, they’ve always performed as a group. Can they truly stand out from their biggest rivals, Girls’ Generation, as something new? Fortunately, we will now know the answer as Wonder Girls released their newest music video, a teaser for their album REBOOT titled “I Feel You.”

According to AllKpop, the new song “I Feel You” is written by J.Y. Park (Park Jin Young) and is a freestyle song that combines synth instruments with flash. The dance moves have been toned down a bit because the girls will be playing their instruments at the same time with Yenny on the Piano, Yubin on drums, Sunmi on bass, and Lim on guitar.

Some Wonder Girls fans, especially the older ones, somewhat felt nostalgia because the song had the sound of the 80s. I myself felt as if I were listening to a Taylor Dayne or Madonna track. The thing is, that is what Wonder Girls is aiming for, as reported by KpopStarz. “I Feel You,” along with all the other tracks, will reflect Wonder Girls’ own interpretation of 80s music. This will surely be a different direction for any K-pop group since everyone else is focusing on trap music (Big Bang) or group tracks (EXO, Girls’ Generation).

Wonder Girls’ REBOOT is officially out right now since it released on August 3, 2015 at 12 a.m. KST. It is not mentioned if the album is available internationally just as yet but if so, will most likely be on iTunes.

As 2NE1 fans anticipate the group's Japanese album release, a new music video for "Crush" has appeared online. After releasing music videos for "Come Back Home," "Happy," and "Gotta Be You," 2NE1 will follow up with a clip for "Crush," using the Japanese version of the song. "After they release their Japanese version of 'Crush' on June 25—for the first time in about two years—they are to kick off their World Tour 'All or Nothing' at Yokohama Arena on July 5 and 6, and at Kobe World Memorial Hall on July 12 and 13," said an official blog post on YG-Life.

"The quartet's Japanese version of 'Crush' is consisted of visual contents that are different to those of their Korean version, while it will also include the Japanese version of their music video."

Thanks to J-Pop website Jpopsuki, 2NE1 fans can now watch the "Crush" music video online.

Some fans, however, seem disappointed that there is no Korean version of the music video.

"It is just natural for fans to want to watch the music video of the original version first," commented MrSarangKpop7 on the 2NE1 YouTube channel. "It is of course best if there are both versions." In 2010, 2NE1 filmed the Korean and English version of their hit single "Can't Nobody" simultaneously. Watch the "Crush" music video above.

South Korean singer Psy debuted his latest music video, “Hangover,” on Sunday night, and it looks like it’s going to be another viral sensation for the K-pop star.

The alcohol drenched and twerk filled video, which also features rapper Snoop Dogg, has already surpassed 5 million views on YouTube since being uploaded on June 8. But that’s hardly a feat for the king of viral music hits.

Psy famously took over the web back in 2012 when the music video for his single “Gangnam Style” went insanely viral. It recently became the first YouTube video to get more than 2 billion views.

Videos : G-Dragon : Crooked M/V

G-Dragon recently released his MV for ‘Crooked’ which was filmed in good old London! Undoubtedly, many of you Londoner VIPs were scanning the video for areas you recognise, but if you were not looking at the setting, I’ll bet you were marvelling at the eclectic array of clothing G-Dragon was wearing. Everyone GD fan knows of his fashionisto image, but never have we been subjected to so many designer outfits in a single K-Pop video.

It is for this reason that we have decided to try out a special ‘Get the K-Pop Look’ in which we have located a lot of the original designer pieces that G-Dragon actually sported in the music video. We don’t expect you to be able to buy the more expensive of this items of course (unless you are very rich indeed), but we hope you enjoy seeing some of the exact pieces the YG artist was wearing. As well as this, there are quite a few affordable pieces sandwiched in that are a lot nicer to your bank account!

Videos : Hayley Kiyoko : A Belle to Remember

Videos : Hayley Kiyoko : A Belle to Remember

Who Is Hayley Kiyoko?
Hayley Kiyoko Alcroft (Japanese: ヘイリー・キヨコ, Hepburn: Heirī Kiyoko Arcroft; born April 3, 1991), known professionally as Hayley Kiyoko, is an American actress, singer-songwriter, musician, and dancer. She is best known for playing Velma Dinkley in Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins and Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster, as well as Stella Yamada in the Disney Channel film Lemonade Mouth. She recently released her debut solo EP.

Kiyoko Alcroft was born on April 3, 1991, in Los Angeles, California, to Jamie Alcroft and Sarah Kawahara. She is of Japanese, English, and Scottish ancestry. She began acting at a young age, appearing in national commercials for companies such as GM Onstar, Slim Jim and Cinnamon Toast Crunch.

Insisting on drum lessons at 6, she was writing drum charts for new releases and selling them in a local music store by age 11. She was president of her Middle School and High School freshman class and in her sophomore year she was appointed Commissioner of Entertainment then Commissioner of Pep Rallies in her Junior year and was elected as school VP in her Senior year.

She created and choreographed "The Agoura High Step Team" that has now been faculty approved as a school club under her direction. The team placed 3rd at a nationals competition in 2005. Upon graduation, she was accepted into Clive Davis School of Recorded Music at New York University but initially deferred until eventually declining due to career opportunities.

Kiyoko was "discovered' at age five when she, for moral support, went with her friend to a photo shoot. The director asked her to step in front of the camera and she ended up in a national print ad for KnowledgeWare. Nickelodeon spotted her at the Culver City Ice Rink and she ended up featured in and narrating a short piece about children in sports called, "I'm Hayley, a Skater".

Kiyoko continued to hone her skills in middle school plays, and in 7th grade she, after seeing Eurasian girls like herself act in J. C. Penney commercials, asked for an agent. She got her commercial agent and booked her first audition, claiming acting was always just something she did on the side to make money for college and music equipment.

After graduating highschool in 2009, Kiyoko booked her first big movie, starring as Velma Dinkley in Scooby-Doo! The Mystery Begins. A role she almost did not audition for due to her image. The TV movie premiered on September 13, 2009 and was a huge success bringing in 6.1 million viewers, making it the most-watched program in Cartoon Network’s history.

She returned for the same role in the sequel, Scooby-Doo! Curse of the Lake Monster which premiered on October 16, 2010 and later released on DVD March 1, 2011. The sequel drew 3.4 million viewers.

Kiyoko also guest starred in four episodes of Disney's 'Wizards Of Waverly Place', which first aired between March and May 2010. She played the short lived, yet popular role of Stevie Nichols, an evil wizard.

After returning from Justin Bieber's "My World Tour", Kiyoko immediately began work on the Disney Channel movie "Lemonade Mouth." She stars as rebellious teenager Stella Yamada. Her vocals appear on the movies soundtrack, which was released on April 12, 2011.

The film premiered on April 15, 2011 and was watched by 5.7 million viewers, with DVR viewing included, its total was 7.1 million viewers.

She took part in promotional events prior to and after the release of the film, which included performances on Good Morning America, The View, Day Break, and So Random!

Kiyoko guest starred in one episode of Disney XD's Zeke and Luther titled, "Skater Girl Island" which aired May 23, 2011. She plays a skater named 'Suzi Vandelintzer'.

The highly anticipated sequel to Lemonade Mouth was cancelled prior to pre-production. All actors, including Kiyoko, were on board for the project but Disney released a statement through the films co-stars saying "They felt the movie had completed its story within the first film."

In February 2012, Kiyoko filmed Blue Lagoon: The Awakening, a Lifetime TV movie which is a remake of the several theatrical versions of the same name. She played the small role of 'Helen'. All scenes featuring 'Helen' were filmed in Los Angeles while a majority of the film was filmed in Puerto Rico. It premiered on June 16, 2012.

Formed in November 2007 and named after her grandfather, Kiyoko performed as the lead singer and songwriter for Hede. Despite not knowing each other beforehand, the band members became very close and experienced local success.

Their five-song self-titled album was released on Myspace in 2008 which was sold directly by the band members themselves.

A music video for "Warehouse" was later released in 2009.

The band did perform locally on several occasions, and even won a battle of the bands competition.

In 2007, Kiyoko was approached by former pop-star Vitamin C to join an all-girl singing and dancing group. She joined Allie Gonino, Tinashe, Kelsey Sanders (later replaced by Lauren Hudson in 2009) and Marisol Esparza to form the Stunners. Six months after forming, the group signed with Columbia Records and released a single titled "Bubblegum" to iTunes along with the official video for the single and as contributed a song to the iCarly soundtrack. The single and video were later removed from iTunes.

In 2009, the group left Columbia Records and signed a production deal with Lionsgate Entertainment, who also produced a scripted television show pilot based on the group, which was ordered by MTV. In October of that year, the girls released a 5-song EP and shot a music video for their promo single "We Got It" which was released on February 22, 2010.

They released a holiday single in December 2009, produced by Desmond Child, and written by the five members of the group, titled "Santa Bring My Soldier Home" and encouraged donations the USO for soldiers overseas, not with their families for the holidays. The group performed the song on The Today Show as well as The Wendy Williams Show. After meeting with various labels interested in the group, they signed to Universal Republic Records in 2010 and released their first single "Dancin' Around the Truth" which featured the New Boyz to iTunes as well as Top 40 radio stations. The music video premiered June 2, just before the group was announced as an opening act on Justin Bieber's My World Tour.

They finished their run after twenty dates on the tour and returned to LA to record new songs with producers and writers such as Toby Gad, The Cataracs, Dave Broome, Livvi Franc, Sheppard Soloman, Jimmy Harry and Tony Kanal of No Doubt fame. They shot a fourth music video in the desert of California in November for their new song "Spin The Bottle" which premiered on December 31, 2010. A full album along with an official second single titled "Heart Stops Beating", written by Tinashe and Allie and produced by Orange Factory Music was planned, but cancelled when the group split in 2011.

Kiyoko uploaded a live studio mix of "Hunting Man" to her YouTube channel on January 23, a solo song which is written by herself and also features her on bass.

On October 15, 2012, Kiyoko launched a fan-funded music project. Fans were able to pledge on a copy of her debut EP, along with other items for funding. The project was fully funded on December 12, 2012.

The EP, titled A Belle to Remember, was released on March 12, 2013.

Videos : After School(애프터스쿨) : First Love(첫사랑)

Who Is After School(애프터스쿨)?
After School (often stylized as AFTERSCHOOL, often abbreviated as A.S.) is a South Korean girl group formed by Pledis Entertainment in 2009. They were known as the first group to debut with a unique admissions and graduation concept in Korea, where members are added or withdrawn in a natural manner. The band consists of eight members: Jungah, Jooyeon, Uee, Raina, Nana, Lizzy, E-Young and Kaeun. Graduate member Soyoung graduated from the group in fall 2009, Bekah officially graduated from the group in July 2011, and Kahi graduated in September 2012.

Kahi and Jungah first performed alongside labelmate Son Dam Bi in 2008. After School officially debuted in January 2009 with the song "AH!" with the five original members being Kahi, Jungah, Soyoung, Juyeon, and Bekah. After concluding their debut song promotions in mid March they made a comeback with a new member UEE in early April with "Diva". Once Soyoung graduated after "Diva" promotions, two new members, Nana and Raina were added for the popular hit single "Because of You", which attained No. 1 and a triple crown on SBS's Inkigayo. Afterwards, After School released "Bang!" with the addition of Lizzy and "Shampoo" where E-Young was added. Shortly after, Bekah graduated After School and After School made their debut in Japan.

The group began a foray into the Japanese music scene in 2011 under Avex Trax with a remake of their Korean hits "Bang!", "Diva" and "Because of You". The group also released an original Japanese song titled "Rambling Girls" in January 2012. Their debut in Japan was quite a success, as the group managed to enter the Oricon Weekly Chart at number seven. The group's debut Japanese album, Playgirlz, debuted at number eight on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart.

In April 2012, Pledis confirmed the addition of Kaeun for the fifth maxi single in June. On 5 June 2012, it was reported that Kahi would graduate from the group in September 2012 to conclude promotions in Japan but not participate in group activities in Korea.

Over a year later on 13 June 2013, the group's sixth Korean maxi single First Love was released.

After School, as a group, made an unofficial first appearance on 29 December 2008 at the SBS Song Festival when former leader Kahi and current leader Jungah performed "Play Girlz" alongside Son Dam Bi. The remaining members, Soyoung, Jooyeon and Bekah served as backing dancers for Son Dam Bi's performance at the event. In the beginning of 2009, a few days before After School's debut, Pledis Entertainment officially announced that the group's music concept is heavily influenced by the Pussycat Dolls. On 15 January 2009, Pledis Entertainment released a 30-second teaser video of their debut single "AH!" on Gom TV which reached over 100,000 views on the first day. Consequently, the group released their debut single alongside the rest of the single album, New Schoolgirl, on 15 January. On 17 January, After School made their live debut on MBC's, Music Core Following promotional activities for "AH!", After School planned to continue to promote New Schoolgirl with "Bad Guy", the third track from their single. However, the track was deemed unsuitable and was banned to broadcast because a single word of profanity was in the lyrics.

During the month of April, the group announced a new member joining the group, Uee. Alongside the announcement, the group released the second single, "Diva" on 9 April 2009. The group first performed the song on 9 April 2009 on M!Countdown. The single then went on to win the Rookie of the Month award for the month of April 2009 at the Cyworld Digital Music Awards.

On 21 May, the group released their third single, a cover of Morning Musume's "Love Machine", entitled "Dream Girl". In July, it was announced that the group would collaborate with popular artist, Son Dam Bi, for digital single, "Amoled", which was released on the 16th, which was also part of promotions for Amoled, Samsung's phone. The group were also the opening act for The Pussycat Dolls's 2009 Doll Domination Tour along with label-mate Son Dam-bi for the Asian dates of the tour.

On 29 October 2009, Yoo Soyoung officially graduate from the group to pursue an acting career. Two new members were added to the group, Raina and Nana. After School made their comeback on 25 November 2009 with their single, "Because of You", with teasers being released a day before. Marking a change for the group to a more mature and sophisticated concept, the song became popular, winning three Mutizen awards and achieving a real-time, daily and weekly "all-kill" on various online music charts and the song also topped the Gaon Monthly Singles Chart for December 2009, which was a rarity for rookie groups. A remixed version was released later on.

At the start of the year, After School won the best rookie award at the Billboard Japan Music Awards and Seoul Music Awards. On 17 March 2010, details surrounding new member, Lizzy, were announced, following the release of the group's concept photos for the single album, Bang!. Pledis Entertainment simultaneously announced that the album would be released on 25 March 2010.

The single's concept displayed the group wearing sexy marching band outfits, and it was later revealed that Kahi was the mastermind behind the concept. Kahi stated after watching the American film Drumline, she fell in love with the marching band style and wanted to do a marching band concept ever since she took to the stage as an After School member. The group practiced playing the drums for five months with a trainer for the concept. It was the first release to feature third generation After School member Lizzy. The title track reached number twenty-nine on the Gaon 2010 digital yearly charts with 2,374,731 copies sold.

Members Raina, Nana, and Lizzy formed a sub-unit Orange Caramel and released their first mini-album on June 2010. Orange Caramel's concept is more lighthearted and sweet unlike many girl groups that have recently taken on darker, sexier concepts.

On 6 December 2010, Pledis Entertainment released After School's comeback album Happy Pledis 1st Album that consisted of 4 tracks, "Love Love Love" as their album single, "Someone Is You" and 2 instrumentals of the two songs. Pledis had planned a series of "Happy Pledis" albums with their artists After School, Son Dambi and Orange Caramel as a surprise gift for the fans. A portion of the profits from the "Happy Pledis" albums would be donated to the "Save the Children" organization. Bekah did not take part nor participated in the promotions for this album due to her two-month break in Hawaii visiting her parents.

On 27 January, Pledis Entertainment stated that they had signed a contract with a Japanese record label in order to begin activities in Japan by the end of March. After School then kicked off their Japanese activities by collaborating with Japanese R&B superstar Namie Amuro; featuring in the song 'Make It Happen' for her collaboration album. In March 2012, the song was nominated for Best Collaboration at the MTV Music Video Awards Japan 2012.

Also in 2011, After School made a cameo as a female idol group, PURE, in the Korean horror film White. They performed segments of their hit song, "Bang."

Pledis Entertainment announced on 13 April that After School would be making a comeback later that month with a full-length album; the title track being composed by Japanese producer Daishi Dance. Teaser photos for the comeback album were subsequently released on the 18th; the first of the photos were of newcomer to the group E-Young. Pledis Entertainment also said the release date of the album would be on the 29th. A second photo was released a day after, featuring Lizzy, Raina and Nana (who were dubbed the 3rd generation), and a third featuring Uee (second generation). On the 20th, the album's full tracklist was released along with the title track titled 'Shampoo' and the final teaser photo of the remaining original members.

A music video teaser was uploaded onto the Pledis Entertainment Official YouTube channel on the 25th, and the full audio track for 'Shampoo' was uploaded to the internet two days later. After School's first album Virgin was released on the 29th, with the full music video for 'Shampoo' being released later that day. The music video for 'Let's Step Up', the intro track for the Virgin album was released with After School performing a tap-dance routine, which was praised internationally by tap dancers such as Joseph Wiggan. After School began promotions for the song 'Shampoo' starting with KBS's Music Bank. On 23 July 2011, the album was released in the Philippines, along with Bang! and Happy Pledis 1st Album, and the album debuted at number one on the Philippines AstroChart with Bang! debuting at number two and Happy Pledis 1st Album debuting at number three.

It was revealed that After School would officially debut in Japan on 17 August, with a Japanese version of 'Bang!'. They will also perform a solo concert on 17 July at Akasaka BLITZ in Tokyo. However, Bekah graduate the group prior to the Japanese debut to become a designer, and has since released her graduation work, a solo track titled Take Me To The Place.

In July, Pledis announced that After School will be separated into two sub-units, A.S. Red & Blue as part of the group's second comeback project for the year.

The group made their debut in Japan on 17 August 2011, with the release of their first Japanese single, "Bang!", which peaked at number seven on the Oricon Weekly Chart. After School participated in the prestigious 'a-nation' concert tour as part of their Japanese promotions.

After School's second Japanese single, "Diva", was released on 23 November 2011. The single was accompanied with a new Japanese song called "Ready to Love".

Happy Pledis 2011, a follow-up of "Happy Pledis" charity single, was released on 1 December 2011. It is a family album that features all Pledis artists, including Son Dambi and an yet-to-debut band named Pledis Boys. A portion of the 'Happy Pledis' earnings will be donated to UNICEF to help look after those in need, and the album is also a gift to the fans who have shown the artists so much love and interest. The group will team-up with SHIBUYA109 for a "Christmas Campaign", which includes an upcoming concert.

After School ended the year by headlining the MTV EXIT Live concert along with American band The Click Five on 17 December 2011 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

After School's third Japanese single was a double A-side single consisting of two songs, "Rambling Girls" and a Japanese remake of their 2009 hit "Because of You". The single was released on 25 January 2012, and debuted at number six on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart. The single then debuted at number seven on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart with sales of 12,110. Since then, the single has gone on to sell over 17,000 copies in Japan.

After School's first Japanese album, Playgirlz, was released on 14 March 2012. The album contains all their Japanese singles plus a Japanese version of their latest Korean single, "Shampoo", and 6 original Japanese songs. The regular edition of the album also includes a Japanese version of Orange Caramel's, a sub-unit of After School, "Shanghai Romance" as a bonus track. On 29 February 2012, After School digitally released a promotional single, "Just in time", to promote the new album which was released the following month. "Just in time" is also used in a Samantha Thavasa commercial featuring After School themselves. After School are also models for Samantha Thavasa.

On 14 March 2012, After School's first Japanese album, Playgirlz, was released in Japan. The album debuted at number six on the Oricon Daily Album Chart, with estimated sales of around 11,000 on the first day, and number nine on iTunes Japan. The album debuted at number eight on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart with sales of 16,000. Following the release of their first Japanese album, After School started their promotion tour for the album titled Playgirlz in late April. With a total of four dates, the tour kicked off at the Zepp Tokyo on 27 April, followed by the Zepp Nagoya on 28 April and Namba, Osaka on 30 April. The tour finished on 17 June at Tokyo Dome City Hall which was also the last time former leader Kahi performed with the group.

On 9 April 2012, Pledis revealed a brand new member would be added to the group. The following day, the member was officially revealed to be Kaeun, who would join them for their fifth single, released on 21 June 2012. It was also confirmed that After School would release their sixth Korean single, in the Autumn but plans for a sixth single were cancelled for reasons unknown.

It was later officially confirmed that Kahi would officially graduate from the group to pursue a solo album, as well as studying acting. She stayed with the group until September, at which point she departed from the group.

On 11 June 2012, the first teaser image, featuring all members, for the comeback was released. Later that day the title of the maxi-single was revealed, "Flashback", along with the tracklist. The following day, a second teaser picture was released featuring third generation member Lizzy, which portrayed that the group are returning to their sexy concept as Lizzy was seen wearing black mesh clothing and was in a seductive, sultry pose. The music video was unveiled at midnight on 20 June 2012 along with the maxi single being released online. The title track, "Flashback", went onto achieve an "all-kill" by topping all major online music charts in South Korea.

Pledis originally stated that After School would make their comeback with their sixth single in Korea in the fall of 2012, but the comeback was cancelled for reasons unknown. Who Is EXO?
Exo (stylized as EXO /ˌɛks ˈəʊ/ eks-oh; Korean: 엑소) is a South Korean-Chinese boy band produced by S.M. Entertainment. Formed in 2012 in Seoul, South Korea, Exo consists of twelve members, who are separated into two subgroups, Exo-K and Exo-M, promoting their music in both South Korea and China. Their name was taken from exoplanet, a term referring to planets outside of the Solar System. Their debut single Mama was released on April 8, 2012, followed by the release of their debut EP Mama on April 9, 2012.

In January 2011, producer Lee Soo-Man of SM Entertainment announced his plans to debut a new boy band in March or April 2011. Temporarily named M1, the group appeared to have consisted of only seven members when a photo of them in a dance studio was leaked online. In May 2011, Lee spoke about the group in a Hallyu business seminar held in Stanford University. In the presentation, he explained his strategy of separating the whole group into two subgroups, M1 and M2, to have them promote the same music in South Korea and China, performing the songs in Korean and Mandarin. Lee planned to launch the group in May 2011 but their debut was delayed and news concerning the group did not surface until October 2011 when Lee briefly discussed about the group's concept plans in an interview with The Chosun Ilbo.

In December 2011, the group finalised their name to Exo, with the names Exo-K for the South Korean subgroup and Exo-M for the Chinese subgroup. The twelve members were introduced individually through twenty-three different trailers released from December 2011 to February 2012. Kai, Lu Han, Tao, and Chen were the first four members introduced, who debuted their first public performance at the SBS's Gayo Daejun event on December 29, 2011.

Exo-K and Exo-M's prologue single What Is Love was released on January 30, 2012 through iTunes and various online retailers from China and South Korea. The single peaked at number eighty-eight on South Korea's Gaon Single Chart. On March 9, the group released their second prologue single History, which was written and produced by Thomas Troelsen and Remee. The single peaked at number sixty-eight on the Gaon Single Chart and number six on China's Sina Music Chart.

A concert showcase for the group was held in Seoul's Olympic Stadium on March 31, which was a hundred days after Exo debuted their first trailer on December 21, 2011. Approximately 3,000 fans from 8,000 applicants were selected to attend the showcase. A second showcase was held in the Great Hall of the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China on April 1.

Exo-K and Exo-M released their debut single Mama on April 8 followed by an EP, Mama on April 9. On the 8th April, Exo-K made their debut performance on South Korea's music program The Music Trend, while Exo-M performed at China's 12th Yinyue Fengyun Bang Awards on the same day. A day after release, Mama reached number one on various Chinese online retailers and music charts. Exo-M's album reached number two on China's Sina Album Chart, number five on South Korea's Gaon Album Chart and at number twelve on the Billboard World Albums Chart. Exo-K's album peaked at number one on the Gaon Album Chart and at number eight on the Billboard World Albums Chart. Exo-M's Mama music video got to number one on Chinese streaming websites and Exo-K's version reached to number seven on YouTube's Global Chart.

On May 15, 2013, it was confirmed by SM Entertainment that Exo would be making a comeback with their first full-length album, entitled XOXO. Several teaser photos were released on this day as well. SM stated that new teaser photos would be released from the 17th and on.

Who is PSY?
South Korean singer and rapper PSY became an international sensation with the outrageously silly video for his 2012 hit "Gangnam Style." The artist, born Park Jae-Sang, is a graduate of Boston University and Berklee College of Music and began his music career in 2001 with the album PSY from the PSYcho World! The album's in-your-face lyrics connected with Korean teens but concerned civil groups, causing PSY to pay fines and restrict sales to adults only. He capitalized on the controversy by releasing two more albums, Sa 2 and 3 PSY, a year later, which earned songwriting accolades at the 2004 SBS and Seoul Music Awards. Third album Sa Jib (Sa House) followed in 2006, along with more honors from the SBS Music Awards and M.net KM Music Festival. Aside from his regular recording and performing duties, PSY became a familiar face with appearances on Korean game shows like X-Man and talk shows like Golden Fishery, bringing his flashy style and offbeat charm to the masses. Fifth album PSY Five arrived in 2010 as the artist signed to YG Entertainment, one of Korea's largest talent agencies and record labels, and took home trophies from the Melon, Seoul, and M.net Asian Music Awards ceremonies. PSY kicked off 2011 with Best Album honors from the 20th High1 Seoul Music Festival and by the following spring he joined the cast of the Korean televised talent competition Superstar K as judge. His fame reached international status in summer 2012 with the release of the album PSY's Best 6th Part 1, propelled by the single "Gangnam Style," which he immortalized in a video with campy choreography that simulated riding a horse. Within a month of its release, the video racked up over 28 million hits on YouTube and inspired parody clips from all corners of the globe.

DMTN Plans For 2013
DMTN posed together in hanbok for the Lunar New Year and discussed their plans for 2013.

Daniel shared, “This is my first time wearing a hanbok. It feels like I’ve really became a Korean person.” Jeesu also expressed his unfamiliarity with traditional Korean clothing, revealing, “I think this is my first time wearing one since kindergarten. Because we are actively promoting, we are happy and also more at peace, and since we feel relaxed on stage, we want to quickly get up there and sing.”

DMTN revealed the reason behind their name change, which many fans were curious about. They stated, “It is the abbreviation of Dalmatian and stands for ‘Desire, Motivation, Timing, and Now’. It’s not that the name has changed because we’ve used Dalmatian since a long time ago. It’s not that we let go of the name ‘Dalmatian’ either. We prefer that people say that DMTN is short for Dalmatian as well.”

On the group’s long hiatus, Daniel stated, “After entering a new agency, we made a comeback with the heart to start anew, and because we have the heart and passion, we anticipate getting on stage and only look forward to that. We only think about standing on stage all week.”

He went on, “This time we are trying to consistently promote. We don’t plan to have a comeback hiatus and kick off [our promotions]. Fortunately, we also receive a lot of love calls from overseas. We’ll be traveling overseas a lot starting in April. We’ll also focus on our domestic activities and consistently promote throughout 2013.”

Who Is BoA?
Kwon Bo-a (Korean: 권보아, Chinese: 權寶兒/权宝儿, Japanese: クォン•ボア, born November 5, 1986), commonly stylized and known by her stage name BoA, which is a backronym for Best of Asia and Beat of Angel, is a Korean singer, active in South Korea, Japan, and the United States. She is referred as the Queen of Korean Pop.

BoA was born and raised in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. She was discovered by SM Entertainment talent agents when she accompanied her older brother to a talent search. In 2000, after two years of training, she released ID; Peace B, her debut Korean album. Two years later, she released her debut Japanese album, Listen to My Heart, becoming the first Korean pop star to break through in Japan following the fall of barriers that had restricted the import and export of entertainment between the countries since the end of World War II.

On October 14, 2008, BoA debuted in the United States with the single "Eat You Up" and released her debut English-language album, BoA on March 17, 2009.

BoA's multilingual skills (she speaks Japanese and English along with native Korean and has recorded songs in Mandarin Chinese) have contributed to her commercial success throughout East Asia. She is the only foreign artist to have two albums selling more than one million copies in Japan and is one of only three artists to have six consecutive number-one studio albums on the Oricon charts since her debut, the others being Ayumi Hamasaki and Koda Kumi.

At age eleven, BoA accompanied her older brother to an SM Entertainment talent search. Though her brother was the one who auditioned as a break-dancer, SM talent scouts instead took notice of BoA and offered her a contract on the same night as the auditions. Her parents initially opposed the notion of BoA's leaving school to enter the entertainment business but eventually consented at her older brothers' persuasion. She has said that her early influence as a singer was Seo Taiji.

BoA underwent two years of training (involving vocal, dance, English, and Japanese lessons), and at the age of thirteen released her debut album ID; Peace B in South Korea on August 25, 2000. The album was moderately successful; it entered the Top 10 of the South Korean charts and sold around 156,000 units. Meanwhile, her Korean record label, SM Entertainment, made arrangements with Japanese label Avex Trax to launch her music career in Japan. She was forced to quit school to prepare and in early 2001, BoA released her first mini-album, Don't Start Now; it sold around 90,000 units. After its release, she took a hiatus from the Korean music industry to focus on the Japanese market at which time she worked to solidify her skills in Japanese.

BoA began her Japanese music career singing at the Avex-owned club Velfarre. In 2001, she released her debut Japanese single, a Japanese version of the song, "ID; Peace B" (originally from the eponymous album). The single reached #20 on the Oricon chart and was followed by "Amazing Kiss", "Kimochi wa Tsutawaru", and "Listen to My Heart"; the last became the singer's first single to enter the Oricon's Top Five. After the September 11, 2001 attacks, BoA recorded the charity single "The Meaning of Peace" with Kumi Koda as part of Avex's Song Nation project to raise funds for charity. From 2001 to 2007, BoA hosted Beat it BoA's World, a radio program on the Japan FM Network.

Her debut Japanese album, Listen to My Heart, was released on March 13, 2002. The album was a breakthrough in BoA's career: it became an RIAJ-certified million-seller and debuted atop the Oricon, the first album by a Korean artist to do so. A single, "Every Heart: Minna no Kimochi", was released on the same day as the album. After the release of Listen to My Heart, BoA released her second Korean studio album, No. 1, a month later. The album sold around 544,000 units and became the fourth-best-selling record of the year in South Korea. Jumping into the World (a Japanese re-release of the mini-album Don't Start Now) and the Japanese single "Don't Start Now" were released a month later on the same day.

BoA then released her seventh single "Valenti". It peaked at the number-two position on the Oricon chart. BoA released two more singles "Kiseki / No.1" and "Jewel Song / Beside You: Boku o Yobu Koe", both which also peaked at the number-three position. At the end of the year, BoA released her second Korean mini-album Miracle.

BoA's second Japanese studio album, Valenti (2003), became her best-selling album, with over 1,249,000 copies sold. In support of the album, BoA launched BoA 1st Live Tour Valenti, her first Japanese concert tour. Later that year, she released two Korean albums, Atlantis Princess and the mini-album Shine We Are!. The former was the fifth-best-selling South Korean record of the year with around 345,000 units sold; the latter sold around 58,000 units.

Her third Japanese studio album, Love & Honesty (2004) was a musical "change in direction": it contained a rock-dance song ("Rock with You") and "harder" R&B. Though the album failed to match Valenti in sales, it topped the Oricon chart for two weeks and became RIAJ-certified triple-platinum. In support of the album, BoA held a tour, Live Concert Tour 2004: Love & Honesty. In contrast with 1st Live Tour, which "emphasized exotic Asian design", the Love & Honesty tour had an "outer-space, sci-fi" theme; among the props were a three-story-high space ship and the robot Asimo. The tour, which started in Saitama and ended in Yokohama, spanned nine performances and attracted approximately 105,000 attendants. Her first compilation album, Best of Soul (2005), however, sold over a million copies, making BoA the first non-Japanese Asian singer to have two million-selling albums in Japan.

BoA reinvented her image on her fourth Korean album, My Name (2004); she left the "cute" and "youthful" style that had characterized previous years and presented herself as "sexy" and "sultry". The album was the beginning of a foray into the Chinese market and contained two songs sung in Mandarin Chinese. The sales of BoA's Korean albums began to decline: the album sold 191,000 units and became the eleventh-best-selling South Korean album of the year. In September 2004, BoA instigated controversy in Japan when she donated ₩50 million to a memorial project for Korean independence activist and nationalist An Jung-geun.

Her fifth Korean album, Girls on Top (2005), continued her image change. The album portrayed the singer as more "mature and self-confident" and was a "declaration of war on male chauvinism"; the "bohemian" look of the cover photograph represented "freedom and depth", while music videos and album photographs that portrayed BoA in traditional Korean dress brought the "idea of Korean womanhood" into her music. The album also continued BoA's foray into the Chinese market and, like the previous album, contained Mandarin Chinese songs. The album sold less than the previous album; it was the fourteenth-best-selling record of the year in South Korea with 113,000 units sold.

In 2006, BoA was mostly inactive in South Korea as she focused her attention on Japan. Her fourth Japanese studio album, Outgrow, was released on February 15, 2006. The album reached the number-one spot on the Oricon chart for its first week of release, making it her fourth consecutive original Japanese album to do so. With 220,000 copies sold, it became her lowest-selling first-week debut for a studio album at that point. "Do the Motion", the first single from the album, reached the top spot, making her the fourth non-Japanese Asian to have a number-one single on the Oricon charts. "Merry Christmas from BoA" (2005), the album's last single, was the singer's first digital single.

In May, BoA renewed her contract with SM Entertainment until 2012. At the time it was noted that she had a shareholding in the company of 100,000 (Approximately worth $1m USD). She also voiced Heather the possum in the Korean and Japanese version of the animated film Over the Hedge. On September 21, 2006, she released her first digital single in Korea, a Korean version of "Key of Heart". In support of Outgrow, BoA launched a special Zepp tour, B0A The Live, on September 29, 2006. The tour, which lasted until October 29, started from Nagoya and contained twelve shows, two in each of the following cities: Nagoya, Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo, Sendai, and Sapporo. She staged her first Christmas concert on December 7, 2006.

BoA's fifth Japanese studio album, Made in Twenty (20) (2007), continued her transition from a "teenage girl" image to a more mature image. The album, which contained R&B and dance songs as well as ballads, debuted at the top of the weekly Oricon charts, making the album her sixth in a row to do so (including one compilation). She began using a personal computer for composing one of the songs ("No More Make Me Sick"). On March 31, 2007, she launched a nationwide tour of Japan in support of the album. The tour, which sold about 70,000 tickets, was, according to BoA, "the biggest concert" she had ever given. Two tracks from the singles of Made in Twenty (20) were used as theme songs; "Your Color", from the single "Nanairo no Ashita: Brand New Beat / Your Color" (2006), was used as the ending theme song for the Japanese release of the Xbox 360 game Ninety-Nine Nights. "Key of Heart", from the single "Key of Heart / Dotch" (2006), was the ending theme for the Japanese release of the movie Over the Hedge.
She also released an English version of "Key of Heart", which was only available on the first press edition of the single. Later in 2007, Anycall (a Samsung brand) signed BoA, Xiah (of TVXQ), Tablo (of Epik High), and jazz pianist Jin Bora onto "Anyband", a band created specifically to promote Anycall. The band released only one single, "AnyBand".

With her sixth Japanese album, The Face (2008), BoA took more creative control over her music. At this time, BoA was influenced by electro-pop. Additionally, BoA included "happy spring" songs (the lead single "Sweet Impact" and its B-side, "Bad Drive"), a guitar-driven "groovy dance" song (2007's "Lose Your Mind"), and ballads. Lyrically, BoA focused mainly on love, though "Be with You." (2008) was about a person's relationship with his dog. The album debuted at the top of the weekly Oricon charts, making BoA one of only two artists in Japan to have six consecutive studio albums top the Oricon weekly charts (the other is Ayumi Hamasaki, who has eight consecutive number-one albums). On June 9, 2008, BoA and nine other artists from around the world recorded an English cover of Wei Wei's "Dedication of Love". Produced by Roald Hoffmann and Brian Alan, the single was used to raise funds for victims of the Sichuan Earthquake. But due to a tight schedule, BoA was pulled back from this project. Korean jewelry brand Ramee also released, "Ramee by BoA", a line of jewelry designed by the singer herself.

On September 2, 2008, it was announced that BoA would make her American debut under a new subsidiary label, SM Entertainment USA.

BoA's debut American single "Eat You Up," produced by Thomas Troelsen, was released online on October 21, 2008. A physical promotional CD containing dance remixes of "Eat You Up" was released. "Eat You Up" placed at #9 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart. The remix of "Eat You Up" featuring rapper Flo Rida was slated for release in late November and leaked onto the internet in December. BoA performed "Eat You Up" as well as other songs at YouTube's Tokyo Live concert, and performed in New York City on December 3, 2008, as well as the Jingle Ball at the Anaheim Honda Center on December 6, 2008. She also performed the song "Look Who's Talking" at the event.

BoA released a triple-A-side single in Japan on February 18, 2009, "Eien/Universe/Believe in Love". On the same day, the Ravex single "Believe in Love" was released, featuring vocals by BoA.

BoA's self-titled English album was released in the US on March 17 and featured tracks by producers Bloodshy and Avant as well as a duet with Sean Garrett. Her second Japanese compilation album, Best & USA was released on March 18 tying together a compilation of recent hits in Japan with her English-language debut.

BoA stated that "It has always been my dream to debut in America" and was tutored English in LA, but found the language tougher to learn than Japanese. She lived in West Beverly Hills but admitted finding it tough to make friends.

BoA headlined as a performer for the San Francisco Pride Festival on June 28, 2009 alongside Solange Knowles and The Cliks. She debuted her next single "Energetic", performing it for the first time in public. She also performed "Eat You Up" and "I Did It for Love."

On August 31, SM USA released BoA Deluxe, a repackaged version of her debut English album. The album contained two new tracks and the radio edit version of "Energetic".

With her US career struggling to gain traction, BoA returned to the Japanese market to release a new single entitled "Bump Bump!" (October 2009), which features label-mate Verbal from M-Flo. BoA then released "Mamoritai: White Wishes" (December 2009) which was used as the theme song to the video game "Tales of Graces" and held a Christmas concert in December.

Her seventh Japanese album, Identity was released on February 10, 2010, but only charted at #4, selling 37,606 copies in its first week. With little promotion from her label, it ended her run of six consecutive #1 albums, suggesting that it would be impossible for her to sustain her career in three territories simultaneously.

On March 1, 2010, SM Entertainment announced that BoA would, on her 10th debut anniversary, release a first full-length Korean album after five years.

On July 21, 2010, Avex released the "Woo Weekend" single, the lead song of which was used to promote Disney on Ice's 25th Anniversary in Japan. BoA's official Korean website announced on July 23, 2010 that her comeback sixth Korean album would be entitled Hurricane Venus. Hurricane Venus was released on August 5, 2010 and debuted at No.1, where it stayed for 2 weeks. "Game" charted at No.6. A repackaged version of the album with two new songs under the name of "Copy & Paste" was released in September, 2010. The album won a Bonsang Award from the Golden Disk Awards in 2010, making it the first time in her career to receive the award. On December 6, 2010, Avex released a digital single, "I See Me", for a commercial that promoted Audio Technica headphones in Japan.

In October BoA represented Korea and performed at the 7th Asia Song Festival, organised by Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange, at the Seoul Olympic Stadium.

BoA will have her Hollywood movie debut in the dance film Cobu 3D, directed by Duane Adler and produced by Robert Colt. It is set for an early 2013 release. BoA will play a character called Aya, while Derek Hough (known from the U.S. TV show Dancing with the Stars) will play the male lead of Donny. Aya and Donny fall in love, even though their families are enemies on the dance scene. Filming began in Spring in New York City and Toronto, Canada.

On October 2011, BoA announced on her Twitter page that she will be releasing a new Japanese single: "Many ppl asking me when I'm gonna release my next single in Japan... I'm preparing my single now. So you'll be able to listen to it soon!". Then on October 6 she wrote: "Heading to the set for my new music video. 今日はPV撮影!! 楽しみにしてねーヾ(@⌒ー⌒@)ノ." It was later on announced by Avex that she will be releasing her single titled "Milestone" on December 7, 2011. The music video premiered on November 21 through MTV Japan. Who Is T-ARA (티아라)?
T-ara (pron.: /tiˈɑːrə/; Korean: 티아라, Japanese: ティアラ, often stylized as T-ARA or T♔ARA) is a South Korean girl group that debuted in 2009 under Core Contents Media. Before their debut, there was a high level of interest in the group; they were called the "Super Rookies" and had been training for three years prior.

Originally a five-member group composed of Jiae, Jiwon, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon, they released their first song "Joheun Saram" (좋은 사람, "Good Person") for the soundtrack of the Korean drama Cinderella Man in April 2009. After Jiae and Jiwon withdrew from the group in June, T-ara debuted as a six-member group with the addition of Boram, Soyeon, and Qri in July 2009.

Their debut studio album Absolute First Album was released in December 2009 and spawned several hit singles including "Geojitmal", "TTL (Time to Love)", "TTL Listen 2", "Bo Peep Bo Peep", "Cheoeum Cheoreom" and "Neo Ttaemune Michyeo". The album was followed by the group's first extended play, Temptastic (2010), which included the top-five singles "Wae Ireoni" and "Yayaya". John Travolta Wannabe (2011) produced "Roly-Poly", the Gaon chart's number one single of the year, which earned the group several awards and nominations as well. In less than six months, the group released their third extended play Black Eyes (2011), which spawned three number one singles: "Cry Cry", "Uri Saranghaetjanha" and "Lovey-Dovey". The lead single, "Cry Cry", became the group's first number one on the Billboard Korea K-Pop Hot 100.

In 2011, T-ara signed a $4.3 million contract with the company J-ROCK for their Japanese debut, the highest out of all the girl groups debuting in Japan. Their major record label is EMI Music Japan while their management and promotional marketing takes place under J-ROCK. The group's first single was a remake of their 2009 hit "Bo Peep Bo Peep". It ranked at number one on the Oricon weekly charts with 49,712 copies sold, the first time a debuting Korean girl group has done so in the charts' history. T-ara released their debut Japanese studio album Jewelry Box in 2012, which peaked at number two on the Oricon charts.

The group has added three members to their lineup since debut: Hwayoung in 2010, Areum in June 2012, and Dani was announced to be joining the group in December 2012 (although she has yet to join the group). Hwayoung later departed the group in July 2012. T-ara uses a rotating leader system in which a different member of the group is elected as leader each year, in order to give both the group and the individual members the opportunity to grow in a new direction.
