Cars : Ford Shelby GT350r Mustang

Cars : Ford Shelby GT350r Mustang

The new Ford Shelby GT350 needs to pull aside because it has just been surpassed by the Shelby GT350R, “the most race-ready road-legal Mustang ever built.” Depending on who you ask, the GT350R was the second most impressive vehicle Ford unveiled at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, with the first being the new GT supercar.

Jumping straight to power, the GT350R packs the most powerful naturally-aspirated engine the American carmaker has ever manufactured — a 5.2L V8 with a flat-plane crankshaft that produces 500 horsepower and more than 400 lb-ft. (542 NM) of torque. A six-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential hastily get all that power to the rear wheels.

Upgraded brakes and a thoroughly re-tuned suspension help deliver superior handling.

To trim some fat, the GT350R does away with many of the creature comforts found in the regular GT350, with Ford’s engineers removing the air conditioning system, stereo, rear seats, trunk floorboard, exhaust resonator, backup camera, and tire-repair kit to reduce weight by 130 pounds (59 kg). Constructing the 19-inch wheels out of carbon fiber instead of aluminum alone shaved off 52 pounds.

Buyers that can’t live without those stripped-out features can opt to have their GT350R equipped with an Electronics Package that adds back the stereo, dual zone air conditioner and more.

Visually, the Shelby GT350R sets itself apart from the regular GT350 with a larger front splitter and rear wing, red brake calipers, red pin striping at the edges of the optional racing stripes and — of course — GT350R badging. The track-focused interior boasts a D-shaped steering wheel, two Recaro bucket seats, and a metal plaque on the right side of the dashboard.

Clearly developed to go up against the Chevrolet Camaro Z28, the new Ford Shelby GT350R is not to be messed with and is just one of 12 new Ford Performance vehicles — new GT and Ford F-150 raptor included — that will be released by 2020.

Pearls : Ellie Goulding

"I'd hate it to become style over substance, I'd hate people to start putting me in a magazine article about my style. I don't like dressing up in something I'm not necessarily comfortable in just to make it more of a show. I want the power to come from what I sing about and how I sing."

Clubs : USA : NY : Brooklyn : Output

Clubs : USA : NY : Brooklyn : Output

About Output
City music freaks have been talking about a new club in Williamsburg since this summer. Of course, at that time it had no name, and was only described in details. The word was that the club would be large (a 452-person capacity is big by NYC standards) and music/sound oriented — no bottles, no doormen, no nonsense.

There would be no fist pumping either. Electro yes, fist pumping no.

After months of waiting, Output finally opened its doors this weekend.

The club sits on Wythe Avenue next to another monument to Williamsburg's ascendancy, the Wythe Hotel. On Saturday night, when the wisest partiers showed up to stand in line at an ungodly hour (10:30?!!!? No one goes out in NYC til 12:00), it seemed like that one block's transformation was complete. Output showed that Williamsburg was no longer an outpost.

In a word, the place was loud — loud because of an incredible sound system in an incredible space, loud because of the insane lights, and loud because what was billed as a $30 party ended up being free with an open bar that lasted all night long.

It may have seemed even louder because everything was new and the ceilings were high. From the second floor looking down, everyone on the dance floor looked like a swarm of moths fluttering toward the flaming wall of light behind the DJ booth.

There was no hassle at the door. This is an important thing to many New Yorkers, and this is what many of them have been waiting to see at a proper, large-scale club. Before the financial crisis hit and every kind of discretionary spending in town was squeezed, doors were everything. Either look fabulous or buy a bottle, those were a party-goer's choices. All that mattered to many clubs, was paying Manhattan rents and playing music that everyone liked. Club goers had shown up, after all, mostly to be seen.

You do not go to Output to be seen. You go to dance. Some of New York's nightlife scene moved that way during the recession when everything went bust, and that's how many people want it to stay.

Output Review By Freddy V.: Brooklyn, NY
"H, How I only wish this place was around during my crazy club nights back in the day of Sound Factory, Twilo, Exit, and Tunnel. I use to be a huge club goer back in the late 90's and early 2000's. I would hear the best DJ's in the world perform in the above mentioned clubs. I've even been to Ibiza to add to my resume.

I have many reasons why I enjoyed my time in Output. First of all they were playing Underground House Music with some Vocal performances on a Saturday Night. The sound system was amazing. I didn't leave the club with my ears ringing even when sitting by the bass. Very Good Sign! Second, the place was huge. I'm a big fan of options! I came with a party of 8 and had set up shop upstairs where we occupied an area to sit down and always come back to when wondering around. There was no bottle service minimum, no crowding pushing around for space, no fights, no bitchy attitude, no nonsense. Everyone came to listen to the music and just chill for an enjoyable night. I met many European travelers and many friendly patrons along the way.

They have a huge roof top for cigarette breaks. A separate room playing different music. Basically this was a 2 floor warehouse where the everyone was dancing in the first floor and those of us that just like to sit, watch, and bop you head a bit upstairs sitting with lots of space available. The bathrooms were super clean and they had many one per person stall's for extra privacy.

I would say the majority of the people were chilling with "Molly" if you know what I mean. "Molly" likes the underground house music and other folks chilling with "Molly". To bad I'm to old to be friends with her but did enjoy peoples conversation while they were hanging out with her.

5**** for MUSIC, OPTIONAL ROOMS & SPACE, FRIENDLY PEOPLE, ROOF TOP, & SEATING for old folks like me.

Thank You for reliving my 20's!"

News : Janet Jackson Fall Album Confirmed

News : Janet Jackson Fall Album Confirmed

Janet Jackson, the only solo-woman to have three albums on SPIN’s list of the 300 Best Albums from the Past 30 Years, confirmed today that she’ll be releasing a new record this fall. Rumors about the alleged upcoming LP have been swirling for a while now, but the singer made it official with a press release following last month’s intriguing teaser trailer, which showed recording equipment and a sultry voiceover announcing the record — her first since 2008’s Discipline.

“I promised you’d hear it from my lips… and now you will,” Jackson said at the time, making it official today. There’s no word on the title yet, though she posted the announcement on Instagram with the hashtag #ConversationsInACafe, which could be the name or perhaps a lead single.

More than a year after the success achieved with her latest single “I Will Never Let You Down” and after releasing “Grateful” featured on “Beyond the Lights” movie soundtrack, It seems British singer-songwriter Rita Ora has finally ready her long-long-long-awaited new single.

The previously announced “Get a Little Closer” and later the Diplo-produced track “Testosterone” were finally scrapped and the new official single is called “Poison“.

The song written by Kate Nash and Julia Michaels, produced by Sir Nolan serves as the second official single taken from her highly-delayed second studio album, scheduled to be released later this year via Roca Nation.

During the promotion of “New York Raining“, her collaboration with American rising star Charles Hamilton, featured on FOX’s hit series “Empire“, the singer confirmed that her new single will be released on May 11 (UK and Europe) and in the summer (In the States), but in the end nothing happened.

Ora confirmed that the new single will be premiered on May 18th, unfortunately the song surfaced online on May 14th.

The singer also collaborated on the upcoming Broadway Musical’s sountrack album “Finding Neverland” in the song “Are We Gonna Play?“ with the collaboration of Sage The Gemini.

“Poison” is a slow-pop jam, an attempt to repeat the success of her latest hit “I Will Never Let You Down” with a watered down and less catchy version, but that may end up being another grower. Unfortunately, the song doesn’t have the effectiveness and the magic touch of Calvin Harris. We all know why.

A special remix for the track produced by ZDot with the collaboration of English hip-hop duo Krept & Konan was premiered on BBC Radio 1 on June 2nd. The music video directed by Cameron Dutty was premiered through Vevo on Wednesday June 3rd. Are you ready to be poisoned? At least one bit.

Singles : RAC : Back of the Car (ft. Nate Henricks)

Singles : RAC : Back of the Car (ft. Nate Henricks)

Listen To : RAC : Back of the Car

Andre Allen Anjos has this incredible ability to consistently capture and channel an effervescence rarely seen outside outright pop smashes. He's back at it again with 'Back Of The Car', teaming up with lo-fi artist Nate Henricks, to deliver a bouncy new RAC soundtrack to our summer.

It's actually been a considerable time since RAC contributed original material to the ether - his excellent remixes tiding us over as usual, with particular deference to his pulsating recent Elliphant effort. 'Back Of The Car' is a bit more of a laidback number, but with characteristic singalong hooks and a tinge of 'Oracular Spectacular'-era MGMT synth to propel the track into anthemic territory.
