Meet the Buick Avenir concept. Introduced in advance of the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, the Avenir concept explores a flagship Buick sedan with “progressive design, new levels of passenger well-being, and technology integration”, according to Buick.

The Avenir — French for future — features premium, sporty, and expressive styling that represents all-new interpretations of traditional Buick cues, according to the brand. A long hood, sloping rear deck, and wheels-at-the-corners stance make for short overhangs and a cab-rearward proportions, while a healthy dash-to-axle ratio screams rear-wheel drive.

“Avenir embodies Buick design, which centers on effortless beauty and presence without pretense,” said Ed Welburn, vice president of General Motors Global Design. “It demonstrates the growing international reach of Buick and offers an exciting vision of where it can go.”

The concept’s sculptural surfacing, expressive proportions, and Buick’s signature sweep-spear bodyside signal an exceptional driving experience that awaits inside. Speaking of which, the cabin is designed for the comfort and well-being of the driver and passengers, while “Technology is seamlessly integrated and builds on the features that have become hallmarks for today’s production models – helping drive a new generation of customers to Buick”, says to Welburn.

A little off the beaten path, but worth going out of the way! My new staple, its a great spot to meet up with friends for a casual, no frills kind of night which often isn't easy to find in New York. Great drinks, reasonably priced and the staff is friendly and always suggesting creative new cocktails not on the menu.

Side note: if you love the wall decor as much as I do, it was hand painted (not wallpaper). I am obsessed!

News : Hotstylz Suing Eminem For "Rap God" Sample

Raymond Jones of rap group Hotstylz is said to be suing Eminem and his label Interscope for $8m over the use of an alleged sample on Rap God.

Taken from The Marshall Mathers LP 2, Eminem’s Rap God is well known for its scattergun lyrics, and holds the world record for most words in a song. Under four minutes long, it rattles through 1,560 words, with one section featuring 97 in 15 seconds.

However, Jones, also known as Raydio G, claims the single features a 25-second use of Hotstylz’s 2007 track Lookin’ Boy, and is requesting millions from the rapper in payment, according to website TMZ.

Speaking to XXL in November 2014, members of Hotstylz referred to the supposed similarities between the songs and suggested that the group had not been asked for permission. “At first,” said Jones, “we was like, ‘Aight, cool’, but at the same time, we was like, ‘Fuck Eminem’ because he didn’t reach out to us.

“He took so much of the record. That just don’t sit right with us. The thing is they used so much of the song, he could have reached out. He could have reached out to us directly. He could have found a way to reach out to us through some kind of channel. We just addressed that issue on a song called Rap Fraud. We addressed how we felt about it.”

A representative for the rapper has not yet responded to these allegations.

The video features Cole and her friends in a pretty intense boys vs. girls paintball match, intercut with some — pretty ridiculous looking — shots of Cole standing in front of a green screen with diamonds and hundred-dollar bills cascading in the background. It is not entirely clear what paintball has to do with breaking up with a man who has done you wrong, but we will take it.
