News : The Postal Service Release Original Audition Tapes

By now everyone is aware that The Postal Service is gearing up for a mighty big reunion in 2013. Likewise everyone is aware that the band started a decade ago with Jimmy Tamborello and Benjamin Gibbard mailing tapes back and forth to create the modern day masterpiece known as Give Up. At least that is what we were told to believe.

Thankfully those hard working journalists over at Funny or Die has released footage of Tamborello and a Sub Pop exec holding auditions for the group. As it turns out there were plenty of high caliber talent who tried out. Watch below as Weird Al, Moby, Page Hamilton, Aimee Mann, Duff McKagan, Nate Mendel and many more try out for their chance to be in the Postal Service.
