News : Miley Cyrus: 'I Was Like Lil Kim In My Past Life'

Miley Cyrus has confessed that she feels like she was rapper Lil Kim in a "past life."

The We Can't Stop star made the revelation when speaking to Billboard magazine about her favourite female singers

Naming the Lighters Up hitmaker in her top three, Cyrus gushed: "In my past life, I feel like that was me. I feel like Lil Kim is who I am on the inside. She just makes me happy... I just love her and I can't help that I love her."

Miley went on to pick Kim's rap rival Nicki Minaj as her fourth fave, but did not take sides when it comes to their famous feud.

The 20-year old said: "I have to put Nicki as four because I had Kim. You can't choose one, so if you say Kim, then you've got to say Nicki. And Nicki is now the Lil Kim of my generation."

Cyrus also praised her godmother Dolly Parton in the interview, calling her "a real-life Barbie doll", while saying that Joan Jett "represents a different time when females weren't supposed to be able to kick ass the way that she came out and did".

Her Top Five was rounded off by Beth Hart, who Cyrus said has "one of the best voices of all time".
