Videos : Tinie Tempah ft. 2 Chainz : Trampoline
UK rapper Tinie Tempah gives his new single, the 'twerk' anthem "Trampoline" the music video treatment. The infectious urban-rap song - produced by Diplo - is the first offering from Tinie's upcoming second album "Demonstration", in stores later this year.
"Trampoline" is a huge leap from Tinie's more commercial sound in his debut album "Disc-Overy", with hits such as, the catchy "Pass Out", or the radio-killer "Written in the Stars". Tinie is going more urban this era, and I have the sad, but honest feeling that this change will hurt his career and sales. "Trampoline" ain't a bad song as a whole, it's very twerk-y (lol), but I don't think it is what the UK audience is 'expecting' to hear from their Tinie. His rap is great, but he needs pop-urban, for-the-clubs productions to support it.
As for the "Trampoline" music video, well...as one very clever YouTube user posted in the video's comments section; "That awkward moment when the lyric video is better than the music video". I endorse this opinion! ha. Lyric video was simple but had a nice feeling, whereas the official video is just awful, and 'skip-worthy' when on TV.
