Due to overwhelming demand, Rihanna and Eminem, have announced a second date in Los Angeles for The Monster Tour. The two superstars will now perform on August 7 and August 8 at the Rose Bowl Stadium.

The tour, promoted exclusively by Live Nation, will kick off in Los Angeles on Thursday, Aug. 7 at Rose Bowl Stadium with shows also lined up at New York City's Metlife Stadium and Detroit's Comerica Park.

PARKING:

General and preferred parking are available for advance purchase at Ticketmaster.com. We strongly encourage you to purchase a pass ahead of time, arrive early and carpool.

General parking will be available on event day for $40 and is located in Lots 1-4, 6 North - 10, I, J, K, Ball Diamonds 2&3.

Preferred parking will be available on event day for $80 and is located in Lots H, I (North), K, 1A, Lot 6 (South).

SHUTTLE:

The shuttle will be operating from Parsons at the corner of Union St and DeLacey Ave in Pasadena. Shuttle tickets are available for purchase in advance on Ticketmaster.com for $5 or on event day for $10.

News : Limp Bizkit To Tour With Machine Gun Kelly

After playing shows in Europe over the summer, Limp Bizkit will return to the U.S. for a tour with Machine Gun Kelly. The trek kicks off Sept. 15 in Los Angeles and wraps up Oct. 12 in Silver Spring, Md. Limp Bizkit will also be playing the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento on Sept. 13. (You can enter to win a flyaway trip to the Aftershock Festival here.) Limp Bizkit will be releasing the new song ‘Endless Slaughter’ for download on Friday, Aug. 1 on their official site. It’s from their upcoming album, ‘Stampede of the Disco Elephants,’ which has yet to receive a release yet.

In addition to performing with his band, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has been busy with directing projects, including a recent eHarmony commercial. In addition to that spot, he also directed two other ads for the company that will reportedly premiere in August.

Durst also recently debuted a 33-minute mockumentary short film called ‘The Truth.’ It revolves around a film crew invading the world of an evangelist known as Evan Jealous, who is portrayed by Durst.

Hilary Duff may be physically at work in her new music video, but in her mind she's chasing the sun. The singer's return to music after a seven-year hiatus brings a happy and upbeat sound in her first single and music video "Chasing the Sun," which premiered on Vevo Tuesday.

Duff is an overwhelmed office worker dreaming of having fun in the sun with a handsome man instead of being confined to her mundane job.

"I'm chasing the sun / Won't miss out on the fun / Gotta get it while our hearts are young / I'm chasing the sun," she sings.

The song, co-written by Colbie Caillat, has an "earthy, indie-pop vibe" that many can relate to. It’s Duff's first release since 2007's "Dignity," which debut at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and went gold.

"I took a break from music for quite a while, but it gave me the power to choose my next steps carefully and I'm really proud of the album I've made," she said in a release about her latest untitled album under her new label RCA.

The 26-year-old singer-actress described the new track as "a light and fun summer song that I hope helps people to feel a little more carefree." With no official release date or name for her new album, fans will just have to settle for the latest single from Duff for now. "'Chasing the Sun' is just a peek into my new album," the mother of one to son Luca with estranged husband Mike Comrie said. "I've worked very hard and the album is a great representation of the experiences I've had in my life and where I want to go from here!"

Red Dog Saloon
Originating during the heyday of Juneau’s glorious mining era, this world famous saloon has provided hospitality and fellowship to weary travelers and local patrons alike. Early day proprietors, Earl and Thelma (Pederson) Forsythe provided dancing and long time entertainer “Ragtime Hattie” played the piano in her white gloves and silver dollar halter top. During territorial days, during his tenure of over twenty years as owner, Gordie Kanouse would meet tour boats with his mule that wore a sign saying “follow my ass to the Red Dog Saloon”. In the early seventies the Harris family bought the saloon and continued to grow and protect the priceless collection of furs, guns and antiques.

The Red Dog Saloon has had several different locations here in town. Originally the saloon was located about 2 blocks up Franklin street and later across the street next to the Alaskan Hotel. In 1988 the saloon was moved, intact, to this site. Great care was given to replacing most everything to its original place within the room. The Kanouse family, back in the late 40’s began luring the tourist customers from the arriving steamships. Some old timers tell us the Red Dog Saloon used to be just a tent on the beach during the mining heydays.

In 2008, the saloon was purchased by a group of local Juneauites who continue the tradition of providing hospitality, fellowship and entertainment to weary travelers and local patrons alike. In 2012 the saloon was expanded slightly and connected to the new larger Red Dog Mercantile which carries a wide variety of Red Dog souvenirs and apparel. Today the local owners of the Red Dog Saloon continue to work to improve and enhance the experience behind those swinging doors and above those sawdust floors and hope to see you soon at the world famous Red Dog Saloon!

After whale watching in the cold rain, hiking in the rain (Mendenhall Glacier), and eating outdoors (Tracy's Crab Shack) in the cold, wet rain; we just wanted to drink inside the Red Dog Saloon! There were five of us and the line was out the door. Lucky, there was a large table that was empty so we were seated and given menus.

This place was packed. A super touristy saloon, it appeared that everyone dinning and drinking at the Red Dog were passengers of the cruise ships that all ported in Juneau. We ordered local beers and a duck fart shot for fun. We had a good time listening to the old man play his guitar and sing old school songs.

The saloon's décor is out of this world funny. There were bears and moose on practically every wall. There's a décor of a bear grabbing hold of someone's leg and climbing up on it. I wish I took more pictures there.

Our waiter was quick and funny. He didn't mind taking pictures from all four or five of our cameras for us!

Next door is the store where you can buy t-shirts, cups and hats as souvenirs. I bought myself a cool ALASKA sparkly beanie with the red dog logo. Pretty cool!

Featuring guest appearances from comedians Aisha Tyler, Margaret Cho, Eric Stonestreet, Kristen Schaal and Jack Black, the video was shot on location at the historic Palace Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, the same space that was used as Julianne Moore’s apartment in The Big Lebowski.

“We’re going to have some fun today!” Al told us before shooting began. “Thank you, Pharrell; I really appreciate it–you’re a cool guy,” he said as he cracked that famously wide smile.

Throughout the video we are treated to a wonderful deluge of clashing colors, socks-and-sandals, Jack Black’s backwards sequin fanny pack, and dance moves that resemble a fit of ataxia. Every aspect of the video is so tastefully tasteless, that we’re pretty sure tackiness will be the look of the summer.

As thrilled as we are about how big the music video for “Tacky” is, the rest of Weird Al’s album is full of exceedingly catchy parodies that we’re also ecstatic to blast on repeat all summer long. ”I am very proud of it” Al said confidently. “I think its my best album to date.”

We think so too. Our own Chris Hardwick couldn’t contain his joy at working with Al, “Al has ALWAYS been one of my idols. If you had told teenage me that I would one day not only be friends with him but also get to produce a video for him, my young brain wouldn’t have been able to process it. I have watched “Tacky” dozens of times and I can’t stop singing it. I LOVE YOU AL.”

Pharrell Williams believes women are "at the centre of humanity".

The singer-and-producer is known for his descriptive lyrics, mostly praising females and their presence. He has often spoken about the inspiration behind his latest solo album G I R L, which pays homage to his love and admiration for the opposite gender.

It seems his thoughts reach further than just respecting them for their general being though.

"I wanted to give back to a demographic that has just been giving to me for over 20 years. Which is women. I have male fans, too. But the women, they never left my side,' he explained to British newspaper The Telegraph.

'The real truth of the matter is that no human being can be created without going through the conduit of a woman's body. Men don't make eggs. We contribute to them. Nor can we give birth. So woman are at the centre of humanity, and they need to be treated as such."

Pharrell's talents have helped other artists as well in the past year, with hit collaborations including Daft Punk's Get Lucky and Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines.

There's also his teaming up with British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran for the musician's latest track, Sing. It was Pharrell's idea that Ed release the track as his first single from second record x and it went straight to number one in the UK.

'I wasn't trying to say it in a cocky way. Like, I don't need the money or I don't need the hit," Pharrell mused. "I was saying to him, 'Our sessions were good in a way that I felt like they were very holistic for you. Because you let go of what was comfortable to you, and discovered a new part of your personality.' One must let go in order to see who they are. When you're clamping down, and your talons... if you will... are clenched into your nest, then you will never experience flight. And when Ed let go, a whole new part of him came out.'

Who Is Blue Stahli?
The sole member of Blue Stahli, Bret, comes from a background of fetish burlesque troupes, drag queen fronted punk bands and believes that he is visited in his dreams by the ghost of William S. Burroughs. In addition to writing and performing Blue Stahli, he is also the other touring member of the Celldweller live show. During live performances, he is frequently given to fits of spastic energy while abusing guitars, making loud angry noises on synths, and punishing a tricked out tribal drum set like he caught it breaking into his house. Celldweller mastermind, Klayton, dons the producer role of Blue Stahli (and thus keeping Bret from accidentally lighting himself on fire).

The music of Blue Stahli is not only meant to be aggressive, artistic, and full of piss’n'vinegar, but also vividly cinematic and wildly epic. Trailers and promos for films such as “Tron Legacy”, “Colombiana”, “Sucker Punch” and “Limitless” all the way to TV shows like “America’s Next Top Model”, “Bones” and “Criminal Minds” feature Blue Stahli to create an exciting musical backdrop. Video games like “Dead Rising 2″ and ads for Victoria’s Secret have also utilized the music of Blue Stahli to inject their productions with rawness and energy. Either that, or a family member was held for ransom. Bret has never been successfully prosecuted, so we may never know.

The self-titled debut album is a double-barreled blast of anthemic songs that are just as focused on providing an emotional escape as they are to making you feel as though you could singlehandedly take on an entire army. Infectious vocal hooks ranging from sensual and emotive to screaming-bloody-murder serve as the foundation for stronger-than-steel songwriting while giant chainsaw guitar riffs threaten to burn cities to the ground in a blaze of hooky, distorted glory. Slick electronics and dramatic production provide a gripping cinematic atmosphere with more intrigue than a box full of Bond flicks. Live drums and tribal toms are pulverized with a ferocity typically reserved for guerilla warfare while sexy breakbeats cut through with a precision hellbent on giving you and your hips more groove than is physically or legally allowed. DOOM and Bishop Nehru's collaborative album under the name NehruvianDOOM is finally coming out. It will be called NehruvianDOOM, and it's due out September 22 in the UK and September 23 in the U.S. via Lex/Noizy Cricket!!. That's the album cover up there, designed by Ghostshrimp.

Cars : Saleen S7

The Saleen S7 is a limited-production, hand-built, high-performance American sports car developed jointly by Steve Saleen for the initial concept and direction, Hidden Creek Industries for resources and initial funding, Phil Frank for the body and interior CAD design and development, and Ray Mallock Ltd. for the chassis engineering. It was the only car produced by Saleen not based on an existing chassis, and became America's first production supercar. The S7 debuted on August 19, 2000 at the Monterey Historic Races. The all-aluminum 427 (a bored-and-stroked derivative of Ford's 351 Windsor small-block, not a big-block) is remarkably tractable and flexible for such a high-output unit—550 hp at 6400 rpm. In 2005, the S7 gained a more powerful twin-turbo powerplant that boosted engine power to 750 horsepower (760 PS/559 kW) and the top speed 248 mph (399 km/h).

The body of the car, made entirely from carbon fiber, incorporates the use of scoops, spoilers, and other aerodynamic features to create split-channel airflow throughout the car, and at 160 miles per hour (257 km/h), the car creates its own weight in downforce.

Interior
The interior of the Saleen S7 was designed to be both luxurious and functional. Leather appears throughout the cabin, with aluminum accents, and the S7 comes with a set of custom-fit luggage. Because of the car's mid-engine layout, it has two trunks, front and rear. Other features include an LCD monitor, rear-view camera, quick-release steering-wheel and a 240 mile per hour (386 km/h) speedometer. The cabin is of an asymmetrical layout, with the custom-fitted driver's seat positioned toward the center both to improve the driver's visibility and center his or her weight in the vehicle.

Chassis
The chassis comprises a space frame-derived design consisting 4130 lightweight steel and aluminum honeycomb composite reinforcing panels. It is divided into bolt-fastened sub-assemblies to allow for rapid access to critical subsystems. The light weight of the chassis allows for the car to weigh a mere 2750 pounds (1247 kg).

Performance
The original naturally aspirated version of the S7 can accelerate from 0–60 miles per hour (97 km/h) in an estimated 3.3 seconds, and to 100 miles per hour in an estimated 7.1 seconds. It can complete a standing quarter mile in an estimated 11.35 seconds, reaching 128 miles per hour (203 km/h). Top speed was an estimated 220 mph.

Electrical system
The first few production Saleen S7 electrical systems were designed and hand-built by Jimmy Rodriguez. Standard electronics include: Power windows, locks, remote control operated doors, hood, trunk, and engine compartment openers, electronic power steering with redundant safety circuits, 110 volt inlet for maintaining vehicle battery, electronic heated front window, electronic fuel pump shut off upon crash impact, rearview camera system with in-dash flip-up monitor, and navigation. Electrical wire harnesses are manufactured with the highest quality materials. Teflon-coated tinned military specification wire, cannon plugs, gold plated pins and sockets were used for the connectors, and wire harnesses were wrapped with a high-temperature glass mesh under a woven Kevlar outer skin.

News : Jack White To Pitch At Detroit Tigers Game

Jack White is taking a shot at the Big Leagues.

The baseball-loving rock star has been tapped to throw the first pitch before the Detroit Tigers take on the Chicago White Sox at Detroit’s Comerica Park on July 29.

White, who was born in Detroit and now lives in Nashville, will be in Motor City for two concerts on July 28 (Fox Theatre) and July 30 (Masonic Temple Theatre) in support of his second solo album, Lazaretto, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in June.

Meanwhile, White was recently spotted wearing a Cubs shirt at Chicago’s Wrigley Field earlier this week. Very suspicious.

"After watching Lakers games, and experiencing concerts at Jazz'd Tapas Bar, it was time to take in a Kings playoff game from Suite Level C.

Whoa buddy... where do I start?

This was an after party stop during our weekend out at The Crawl of the South, and I was not expecting much (I have been ruined by Ovinte in Jax). Boy was I wrong!

The atmosphere is casual, cozy, hip, and intimate all at the same time--you pick how you want it to be. The wine selection is good (not great, but they have some good ones), and the tapas are as delicious as they are imaginative.

My only "complaint" (if you can call it that) is that our server didn't know anything about wine (but I was thankful that she said so, as opposed to just winging it). That being said, it is not an insurmountable dent.

I would highly, highly recommend that you stop in here if you like (a) good food, (b) good wine, and/or (c) good music.

News : Pandora Loses Big In Q2

Streaming revenue is growing year over year, although it’s not growing nearly fast enough to compensate for the declining revenue of other formats. Pandora’s second quarter report touches on some of the problems that streaming services face, as the streaming business model seems far from sustainable.

Pandora reported $218.9 million in revenue for the quarter, up from $153.4 million last year.

However, they reported a loss of $11.7 million, up from a loss of 6.9 million during the same quarter last year. MarketWatch reports that Pandora’s total number of active users unexpectedly dropped between May and June, from 77 million to 76.4 million. Total listening hours also went down to 1.61 billion in June, down from 1.73 billion in May. However, these two metrics are actually up from the second quarter of last year. Active users are up 7.5 percent from last year, and listening hours are up 29 percent from last year.

As of July 25th, 4 PM EST Pandora’s shares were down 10.3 percent at $25.75.

Lauryn Hill (born May 26, 1975) is an American singer–songwriter, rapper, producer, and actress. She is best known for being a member of the Fugees and for her solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

Raised in South Orange, New Jersey, Hill began singing with her music-oriented family during her childhood. She enjoyed success as an actress at an early age, appearing in a recurring role on the television soap opera As the World Turns and starring in the film Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit. In high school, Hill was approached by Pras Michel to start a band, which his cousin Wyclef Jean soon joined. They renamed themselves the Fugees and released two studio albums, Blunted on Reality (1994) and the Grammy Award-winning The Score (1996), which sold six million copies in the United States. In the latter record, Hill rose to prominence with her African-American and Caribbean music influences, her rapping and singing, and a rendition of the hit "Killing Me Softly". Hill's tumultuous romantic relationship with Jean led to the split of the band in 1997 to focus on solo projects.

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (1998) remains Hill's only solo studio album. It received massive critical acclaim, showcasing a representation of life and relationships and finding a contemporary feminist voice with the neo soul genre. The album debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and has sold approximately eight million copies there. It included the singles "Doo Wop (That Thing)" (also a number one), "Ex-Factor", and "Everything Is Everything". At the 41st Grammy Awards, the record earned her five awards, including Album of the Year and Best New Artist. She won numerous other awards and became a common sight on the cover of magazines.

Soon afterward, Hill dropped out of the public eye, suffering from the pressures of fame and dissatisfied with the music industry. Her last full-length recording, the new-material live album MTV Unplugged No. 2.0 (2001), sharply divided critics and though certified platinum was commercially unsuccessful in the United States. Hill's subsequent activity, which includes the release of a few songs and occasional festival appearances, has been sporadic and erratic. It has sometimes caused audience dissatisfaction; a reunion with her former group did not last long. Her music, as well as a series of public statements she has issued, have become critical of pop culture and societal institutions. Hill has six children, five of whom are with Rohan Marley, son of reggae legend Bob Marley. In 2012, she pled guilty to tax evasion for failure to pay federal income taxes, and in 2013, served a three-month prison sentence.

Nic Pope explains his studio and stage ready hoodie: I designed the Audio Engineer's Hoodie as a throwback to the era when engineers wore skinny black ties and starched white button-downs to the studio. As a young man trying (read: struggling) to look his best I've always found it tough to balance functionality and comfort for long hours in the studio with good fashion so I usually end up with work clothes that just don't look as good. Gadgets : Nvidia Shield Tablet

Nvidia wasn't able to get its graphics chips into either the Xbox One or the PlayStation 4, so it's doing the next best thing by trying to obviate home consoles altogether. Today the company introduces its new $299 Shield Tablet: an 8-inch Android device designed to sate all your gaming needs at once. It's powered by the souped-up Tegra K1 processor that Nvidia debuted to much fanfare in January, and already has a number of major game titles optimized to make use of its extra power. It's also compatible with a new Shield wireless controller and the same game-streaming capability as its predecessor Shield — allowing you to remotely play a game running on your PC at home. With a mini-HDMI connection outputting 1080p content to the nearest HDTV, the Shield Tablet can be a jack of all trades by either playing Android games or streaming PC titles into the living room.

"The ultimate is coming." Those words welcome visitors to Nvidia's special landing site counting down to the announcement of what has now been revealed to be the Shield Tablet. With the release of this new Android device, Nvidia is turning the Shield brand into a product family, adding in a Shield wireless controller and a Shield cover. This is also the first global product launch from the company. More accustomed to designing fast graphics chips and having hardware partners building everything around them, Nvidia says it has learned a lot about industrial design, mechanical components, and supply chain management from the original Shield and that's given it the confidence to distribute the new one worldwide.

The US and Canada still get the Shield Tablet first, with a 16GB Wi-Fi-only variant costing $299 in the States and a 32GB LTE model priced at $399. To get the maxed-out Shield Tablet suite, you'd need an extra $59 for the Wi-Fi controller, $39 for the cover, and a few extra bucks to buy the mini-HDMI cable that's sadly absent from the retail box. Europe follows from the middle of August and availability in other regions will be announced in the fall.

So what makes the Shield Tablet more compelling than any other? Its overarching focus on gaming has led to a number of firsts: this is the first tablet to stream games from PCs inside the home (equipped with a GeForce GTX 600 series GPU or above), the first to be able to stream games from the cloud via Nvidia's Grid beta program in North California, and the first to feature Twitch streaming.

While the first two may be useful to only a limited audience, the Twitch integration carries universal appeal and is growing into an increasingly desired addition to any gaming device. In practice, it works very quickly and simply. Activating your Twitch channel is one of the primary menu items on the Shield Tablet and you can also record and later upload snippets from inside a game.

Nvidia has also put together a Console Mode for when the device is plugged in to a television set, though it's a basic variation on the interface the company has on the tablet itself, and fills 40-inch screens with comically oversized app icons. The simplicity of this UI is actually helpful, but it just needs a more refined appearance.

Hulu Plus, Evernote, and Netflix apps will come preloaded on the Shield Tablet, which Nvidia notes is one of only three to support Netflix HD streaming. Moreover, the Shield Tablet is 4K-ready, though with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 on its 8-inch display and a standard TV output of 1080p, the capability to decode such content is mostly of academic importance.

So far, there are 12 games that are optimized for the Tegra K1, including the recently released Shield-exclusive ports of Portal and Half-Life 2. Both of those games look much prettier and move at a higher frame rate than on the original Shield, and Nvidia promises to keep aggressively adding to the list of games that look best on its hardware.

As to the hardware itself, the Shield Tablet has a very basic design that's equal parts unassuming and uninspiring. It has a soft-touch back, a pair of stereo speakers framing the display, and an integrated stylus that makes use of Nvidia's DirectStylus technology. Under the hood, Nvidia has made a few optimizations to give it what it claims to be "double the heat dissipation of a typical tablet." That's accompanied by three power settings in the device's software, including a max performance mode that's practically useless today but could help the Shield Tablet keep up with more graphically demanding games in the future. That's Nvidia's premise, anyway.

The battery is expected to last a fairly conventional 10 hours when playing back video or between three and five hours — depending on the game — when used for its primary purpose of gaming. Nvidia has invested a lot of time in making this Android tablet the ultimate portable gaming device, and much of its future will depend on how successful it is in convincing developers and gamers to embrace it as a preferred platform. "In every way we could, we designed the tablet to be a great gaming tablet," says Nvidia. The iPad already serves that purpose for many, but Nvidia's definition of gaming involves a lot more high-fidelity graphics and "console-class" gameplay and controls. The hardware is in place, now it's time to live up to the rest of the Shield Tablet promise.
