Miley Cyrus donated her Caitlyn Jenner artwork to support the amfAR Inspiration Gala last night.
The 22-year-old had sparked rumours she was collaborating with the reality TV star when she posted images of glitter-coated versions of Caitlyn's famous Vanity Fair cover on Instagram.
Now all has become clear, as her creative project was in support of the annual event, which benefits AIDS research. The pieces, signed by Caitlyn, were auctioned at the event and fetched an amazing $69,000.
It was a big night for the singer-and-actress, as she was honoured with the Inspiration Award. Miley is a keen supporter of the LGBT community and launched the #InstaPride project just yesterday, an initiative that tells the stories of transgender people. 'I just want to tell my parents, I hope that this makes them proud,' she touchingly said during her acceptance speech at Spring Studios in New York.
Tyler Ford from The Glee Project presented her with the prize and was also Miley's date for the night. Prior to the event, Miley introduced agender Tyler on Instagram.
"Meet Tyler (@tywrent), a 24 year old living in New York City, and my date for @amfar tonight!!! Tyler is a queer, biracial, agender person, whose pronouns are they/them/theirs. Tyler shares about their identity, experiences and hopes saying: 'My whole life, I was led to believe that there were only two genders. I thought I had to shrink myself to fit into a box that was never going to contain me. It took years for me to find words for my gender identity, and to feel comfortable expressing myself as I am.' (sic)," she wrote.
Miley wore a custom Moschino gown to the gala, which was bright red and sported a large heart print and trail.
