Who is AlunaGeorge?
As AlunaGeorge, producer George Reid and vocalist Aluna Francis amalgamate electronic pop, 2-step garage, and left-field R&B. They debuted in 2011 on Sweet Recordings with the "Analyser"/"We Are Chosen" single. By the end of the year, they had remixed tracks by Mirrors ("Into the Heart") and Lana Del Rey ("Born to Die"). The relatively R&B-oriented "You Know You Like It" led a three-track Tri Angle EP of the same title in June 2012. This was quickly followed by a remix of Florence + the Machine's "Spectrum," as well as a vocal version of Rustie's Glass Swords track "After Light." Francis has also contributed atmospheric vocals to a handful of albums by veteran downtempo duo Earth Leakage Trip.
