Videos : Queens of the Stone Age : Kalopsia
Today, Queens of the Stone Age released another in a series of animated videos by visual artists Boneface and Liam Brazier, all of which feature tracks from the forthcoming QOTSA album, …Like Clockwork.
In a brief clip for the song “Kalopsia,” a masked man — hiding his hideous face from the world — attempts to spread affection to passersby, only to inadvertently end their lives in a puddle of blood. According to Boneface, the video series “tell the story of a lonely character, travelingthrough a city without salvation. The stories are broken into pieces to create a shocking tale of violence and debauchery.”
For context, Kalopsia is the “delusion of things being more beautiful than they are.”
