News : Iggy Azalea Diagnosed With Jaw Joint Disorder
Iggy Azalea has revealed she has been diagnosed with a joint disorder.
During a New Year's Twitter message to her fans, the Australian rapper informed her followers doctors had told her she had TMJ (temporomandibular joint dysfunction) - a condition which affects and causes pain in the jaw.
As Billboard reports, Azalea wrote that she thought stress was partially to blame for the disorder. She added: "I don't think it will ever prevent me from doing anything I want to, but it has made me realise it's important to look after yourself."
In the series of posts, the rapper also confirmed that she was continuing work on her second album this month, the follow-up to 2014's 'The New Classic'. She tweeted: "I'm back to work on my second album next week... anxious to get going on it. The excited kind of anxious."
Azalea recently defended herself against 'patronising' critics who accused her of "misappropriating black culture". After Q-Tip tweeted a "hip-hop history lesson" at the star, she responded: "I'm also not going to sit on Twitter & play hip-hop squares with strangers to somehow prove I deserve to be a fan of or influenced by hip-hop".
