Who is MS MR?
MS MR are a New York-based American duo consisting of vocalist Lizzy Plapinger and producer Max Hershenow. Their debut album Secondhand Rapture is due for release on 14 May 2013. The duo are signed to IAMSOUND and Columbia Records.
MS MR have released three singles, "Hurricane", "Bones" and "Fantasy" as well as an EP Candy Bar Creep Show. The music video for their debut single "Hurricane" was released on 26 April 2012 with the single released on iTunes on the 10th July 2012. It won rave reviews from critics and the public as it was complemented for its "Vintage" sound. The single charted at number 38 in Germany. "Hurricane" went on to be included on their debut EP entitled Candy Bar Creep Show alongside the songs "Bones", "Dark Doo Wop" and "Ash Tree Lane". The EP was released on 14 September 2012.
The music video for their second single "Fantasy" was released on 4 February 2013. The song was later released onto iTunes on 8 March 2013.
Their sound has been compared to the likes of Florence and the Machine, Lana Del Rey and Kavinsky.
