News : Nick Jonas Speaks On Zayn's Split

News : Nick Jonas Speaks On Zayn's Split

Zayn Malik has already gained support from boy banders Lance Bass and Jonathan Knight after his decision to leave One Direction. Now there's a former boy bander who is also throwing his support in the ring for Malik.

Nick Jonas opened up about the 22-year-old's decision to part ways with 1D in a new interview, noting that "it's always tough," he told E! News. "You know, there's never an easy time to make a decision like that. I commend him for doing what he feels is right for him and you got to stay true to yourself."

Back in Oct. 2013, Jonas and his brothers, Kevin and Joe, parted ways professionally. He has since gone on to have a successful solo career, including his hit single "Jealous," and will host the Kids' Choice Awards this weekend.

And while he believes that Malik had to do what was best for him, he does understand that the fans might be going through a tough time for the moment.

"I feel for the One Direction fans and I hope they're doing OK," he said, "but you know, it's one of those things, that sometimes it's just time to close a chapter."

In fact, Malik has already hinted at his next chapter. Speaking out for the first time since leaving 1D, he said he's been busy recording material.

About 00
Located within the Gávea Planetarium, the 00 won the locals, visitors from other states and foreigners in general, with its hybrid project that engages an outdoor garden to a contemporary cuisine restaurant and a modern dance floor.

The lighting based candles gives the sophisticated tone, while being relaxed and cozy.

In the outdoor garden, imposing sofas and ottomans reinforce the concept of a place to meet and make friends.

In a large desk is the bar where already are served famous multi-colored drinks to serve a varied and cool public.

On the dance floor, projections and lighting that change with the music program.

A revolving door glass separates track areas and restaurant where custom armchairs and chairs add up to a nice communal table.

00 Review By Luigi R.
"A place with the right mood. Beside the amazing dance floors, the excellent food and the beautiful people, this place is definitively one of my favorites in Rio."

Videos : FKA Twigs : Glass & Patron

First things first: FKA twigs is going to release a new EP this year. That’s great news! “Glass & Patron” is the first thing we’ve heard from it, and twigs’ new video for it just appeared online as one of the videos that this year’s YouTube Music Awards have thrown up online. (A rescored version of “Glass & Patron” already appeared in twigs’ Google Glass “concept film.”) The video, which twigs directed herself, is easily one of the best of the year, a staggering vision that nobody else could’ve pulled off. (She also directed the “Pendulum” video, and we’re going to have to call her, among other things, one of the best video directors working right now.) It starts off as a surreal Cronenbergian take on pregnancy, and it turns into David Lynch making an Aaliyah video at a vogue ball. It also serves as the best evidence we’ve yet seen that twigs is an absolutely incredible dancer. Seriously, you need to get a look at this thing.

Singles : Earl Sweatshirt & Action Bronson : Warlord Leather

Listen To : Earl Sweatshirt & Action Bronson : Warlord Leather

It's actually quite incredible how much noise two boys can make in the music industry in just a matter of two weeks. Big man Action Bronson just released his new album Mr. Wonderful, and Odd Future native and all around delinquent Earl Sweatshirt followed suit this week with I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside. Like a cherry on top, the two just released a new collaboration together with legendary producer The Alchemist, titled "Warlord Leather".

Don't expect to be greeted with soft music from these boys. If we've learned anything from them in the past few months, it's that not giving a damn about anyone else is at the top of their list of priorities. Earl has been outspoken about his disappointment in his label's release plan of the album, and his music reflects just how angry and unique he is. As for Bronson, the guy is on the brink of being classified as a comedian. His promotional strategies were flawless, yet I can't help but think none of them were intentional.

You can listen to the new track "Warlord Leather" below, and make sure to check out the two new albums. In The Alchemist's soundcloud description on the track, he says, "bonus track to commemorate the release of Action Bronson's Mr. Wonderful and Earl Sweatshirt's I Don't Like Shit, I Don't go Outside..." Most definitely a bonus, and even more a commemoration to a wonderful week in hip-hop.

Gear : Watches : B55 Connected Chronograph

Despite popular belief, Apple’s Smart Watch isn’t the only smartphone compatible watch on the market. Flight-worthy watch company Breitling has thrown their hat into the smart watch ring with the announcement of the B55 Connected Chronograph.

Unlike most other smart watches that simply notify you of the information already on your smartphone such as texts and emails, the B55 Chronograph uses your phone to operate the watch itself, allowing the user to operate everything from setting alarms and accessing your calendar to changing time zones via a Bluetooth connection.

Gadgets : Wondercube

Gadgets : Wondercube

How many "smart" keyrings and chargers have you come across lately? Three? Five? A dozen? If you've lost count, here's one more to add to your list. WonderCube is frighteningly true to its name because it is such a wonder to behold. This tiny cube that can fit on the palm of your hand has almost everything, and we mean everything, you'll need for a mobile phone accessory: charger, external storage, stand, or even a torch. All it's missing is the kitchen sink. Well, that and some location-based features.

The WonderCube can unfold and transform in many ways that would make Hasbro proud. On one end, you will get a regular-sized USB plug. The other end, you can get either a micro USB plug or, if you're an Apple user, a lightning connector. These two together can become your conduit of power, charging your smartphone via any USB charger or even a wall socket with the appropriate port.

But if you're on the go and really need some emergency juice, you can pop the top open and pop in a 9V battery. Yes, the cube comes with connectors for just this kind of battery that is advertised to add 3.5 hours more life to your smartphone.

Remember that regular-sized USB plug? That isn't only for charging. It is actually also a microSD card reader that can hold up to 64 GB capacity. That's a lot of more extra space for devices that can handle USB OTG (on the go). The plug can, of course, also be used for transferring files to and from a smartphone and a computer.

Beyond data and charging, the WonderCube has two more talents. It can function as a smartphone stand, whether in landscape or even in portrait mode. One side has a micro-suction cup plate that adheres to even the glossiest smartphone surface for a good handle. And lastly, it also functions as an emergency LED light.

That's 8, yes 8 features all crammed into one, small, minuscule cube. Too bad it doesn't have any Bluetooth or NFC to help locate it or your phone in times of loss. The other bad news about it is that it isn't even a finished product yet. It's still scheduled to hit Kickstarter next month, March 9, to be exact, with a lot more details, including pre-order price tag, to come.

Pre-order here.

Clubs : USA : FL : Miami : Liv Night Club

Clubs : USA : FL : Miami : Liv Night Club

About Liv Night Club
Of the hundreds of clubs that have populated Miami Beach over the past decade, none has been more influential on the South Beach cult of celebrity than LIV at the Fontainebleau hotel.

Of course it's an unfair comparison since LIV resides within one of the premier resorts in the world, which certainly gives it a leg up in the glamour department. And having top dining options such as Scarpetta, Hakkasan and Gotham Steak make for an easy transition from dinner-to-nightlife.

But, the prime reasons for LIV's success is its glamorous design, its roster of top DJs, and the most beautiful crowd in all of Miami Beach which routinely occupies it banquettes. LIV at the Fontainebleau is a must-see.

Liv Night Club  Review By Jack T : Washington, DC
Every time we go to Miami, we just go to LIV every night, and i'm ok with that, haha.

Liv is located kind of far from the bustle of south beach.  The cab ride from 6th and ocean will cost you $20-30.  The club is in the Fountainbleu hotel.  One of the best things about Liv is the lounge right outside the club.  It is basically another club in itself...maybe even better than the club.  So I guess this review encompasses both places.

The lounge out front is very spacious, chic, and comfortable.  Filled with lots of incredibly fine looking women, there is a DJ always bumping house/electronic.  Most people hanging in the lounge are either people waiting in "line" to get into LIV or people who have already gotten rejected from  LIV.

Liv is probably one of the hardest clubs to get into.  First off, there is no line to get it in.  There is basically just a mob of people and the staff just picks and chooses who they let in.  The best way to guarantee your entrance into this glorious club is to buy tickets beforehand online.  They have a list of dj's performing for the month.  Depending on the DJ and day of the event it may cost you $30-500.  I think they had Eric Morillo during ultra festival and it cost $400 for tickets.  Even though tickets cost a fortune, it is a sure way to guarantee your way in to the club.

Once you get into LIV, there are many different area's to hang out.  There are a number of bars and a huge dance floor.  Tables and VIP areas are scattered throughout.  They keep the numbers down, so the club is not too uncomfortable to walk around.  The dance floor is probably the only area that can become too hot or unbearable.

Expect to pay 18-30 for drinks at this club.  It is really expensive but if you are in the club, you should probably be able to afford this.

The women at the club are very good looking but not unapproachable.  Overall, this is a great spot and I would def recommend anyone check it when they are in Miami!

News : Zayn Malik Quits 1D

News : Zayn Malik Quits 1D

Last week, One Direction's Zayn Malik fled the band's world tour with little explanation, leaving fans wondering what the fate of the group would be. Today, the former British X Factor contestants have issued a joint statement confirming that Malik has quit the band for good.

"After five incredible years Zayn Malik has decided to leave One Direction. Niall, Harry, Liam and Louis will continue as a four-piece and look forward to the forthcoming concerts of their world tour and recording their fifth album, due to be released later this year."

Malik himself added the following:

"My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band. I'd like to apologise to the fans if I've let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart. I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight. I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world."

The lads' mentor, Simon Cowell, also shared comments on the split:

"I would like to say thank you to Zayn for everything he has done for One Direction. Since I first met Zayn in 2010, I have grown very, very fond - and immensely proud - of him. I have seen him grow in confidence and I am truly sorry to see him leave. As for One Direction, fans can rest assured that Niall, Liam, Harry and Louis are hugely excited about the future of the band."

One Direction formed in 2010, and last November released their fourth studio album Four to some critical acclaim. Stay tuned in the coming months to see if Malik's departure signals the beginning of the end of the group, or if business will continue as usual.

Perhaps it would have been too obvious to expect a remake of the final scene from Breaking Bad — however, Action Bronson’s video for “Baby Blue” does spoof another famous Hollywood production.

Bronsolino plays an Albanian king looking for his bride in Lil Chris’ funny, bloody homage to Eddie Murphy’s Coming to America. “Baby Blue” collaborator Chance the Rapper also appears in the video, which was created as part of this year’s YouTube Music Awards.

Singles : Steve Aoki & Moxie : I Love It When You Cry (Boehm Remix)

Listen To : Steve Aoki & Moxie : I Love It When You Cry

You’re listening to this song for the first time, and let’s pretend that you don’t know the title. The first 15 seconds don’t give away anything but a beautiful trumpet solo and an underlying marimba melody. At 16 seconds you realize “Holy crap this is not what I expected” in the BEST way ever. Romanian producer, Boehm, released a tropical house remix of Steve Aoki’s original, ‘I Love It When You Cry‘ feat. Moxie. We all love Aoki’s savage slabs, especially in this track. The remix all together is beautifully put together, and the artist is one to watch for this year. Boehm shows listeners a whole new dynamic in which musical instruments are creatively featured, and the beat is completely transformed. The vocals are slowed down just enough to embody exactly what Boehm was going for. Before each drop, a saxophone solo is overheard, introducing the chorus, and played through before the second verse. At that moment, Moxie’s vocals are played with, creating a sensual feel before going in to the next verse. Give the remix a thumbs up by clicking on the “heart” and get ready to repaly over and over again.

Gear : Watches : TAG Heuer Monaco V4 Phantom

Gear : Watches : TAG Heuer Monaco V4 Phantom

In the brand's most recent in a series of horological U-turns, TAG Heuer has announced the Monaco V4 Phantom watch at Baselworld 2015, introducing a carbon matrix composite for the case and bridges. No to smartwatches, yes to smartwatches, refocus on entry-level luxury... The last year or so has seen a few oscillations at TAG Heuer, including this return to haute horology.

A year ago, Jean-Claude Biver, who heads LVMH’s watch brands, dismissed smart watches, saying that they would not stand the test of time, and that the brands under his watch would not make one. And now, the man just recently announced that TAG Heuer would release a smart watch to go up against the Apple Watch.

Last year, Biver also stated that TAG Heuer would focus on the entry-level market in the 1,500 to 3000 Swiss francs range, where it has historically been a leader. Accordingly, he canned the CH80 movement and therefore the Carrera CH80, the watch intended to house it that was eagerly anticipated by fans of the brand.

Imagine our surprise, then, when TAG Heuer unveiled the new TAG Heuer Monaco V4 Phantom watch that Baselworld 2015. Don’t get us wrong, we are thrilled by this new release, because the Monaco V4 is a true horological icon and deserves to be updated with the latest tech available in watchmaking. First unveiled in 2004, the TAG Heuer Monaco V4 is a truly special watch. Not only did it feature a linear winding mass - a rarity in watches today - it was, most importantly, the first watch in the world to be driven by belts. Even now, more than a decade later, the TAG Heuer Monaco V4 is still regarded as a technical feat. And TAG Heuer celebrates the Monaco’s heritage by offering the TAG Heuer Monaco V4 Phantom in an all-new special carbon case.

Since the Monaco V4’s inception, the watch has been offered in a variety of cases including platinum, gold, and titanium, and to be sure, this is not the first time the Monaco V4 has been offered in a carbon case. In fact, last year we had the chance to get up close with the Monaco V4 Carbon (hands-on). That watch also had a carbon case but it also had rose gold trimmings.

So what’s so special about the TAG Heuer Monaco V4 Phantom? We are glad you asked. You see, the carbon fiber used in the TAG Heuer Monaco V4 Phantom is a special kind called Carbon Matrix Composite (CMC), and not only is the case made out of this new material, but the seven bridges of its movement are made using CMC too. CMC is formed using a special technique where carbon fibers are placed in a certain direction in the mould and micro-blasted to give it an orderly elegant look that TAG Heuer calls “matte black vertical brushed.” This is obvious if one looks closely at the movement bridges that form the dial. The choice of material is not just for looks; by using carbon fiber for all the main components, the TAG Heuer Monaco V4 Phantom is also light. Furthermore, the extensive use of carbon fiber also encapsulates the essence of this watch very nicely as it was inspired by motor-racing and engines.

To match, the hands are satin-finished with a titanium carbide coating and filled with anthracite grey SuperLuminova. The only color comes from the red of the exposed jewels. To complete the watch’s all black look, it is offered with a matte black alligator strap with a deployant buckle finished with black titanium carbide coating. If you like stealthy watches that fly under the radar, they don't get more "stealth" than this.

The 41mm TAG Heuer Monaco V4 Phantom will be subject to an initial run of 50 pieces and will be priced at $45,000.

Cars : Morgan Aero 8

Cars : Morgan Aero 8

The 2015 Morgan Aero 8 makes its global debut at the 85th International Geneva Motor show, 15 years since the launch of the original Aero Eight. Significant visual and mechanical changes make the 5th generation of this iconic model the most refined Morgan Aero product to date.

Lightweight, powerful and effortlessly stylish, the new Aero 8 is a true British sports car. This, the most refined Aero product to date, is a fitting evolution of Morgan’s most technologically advanced range of vehicles.

The return to open top motoring is one that brings with it new opportunity; a chance to become part of your surroundings rather than an observer. Driving with the hood down amplifies the addictive V8 soundtrack. A dramatic rear opening clam shell boot is used to both tension and hide the mohair hood, whilst the lightweight hard top transforms the car into a coupé. A stiffer all-aluminium chassis and improved suspension are complimented by the improved aerodynamic performance of the hand sculpted body.

“Morgan cars are synonymous with open top motoring. We produce 2-seater sports cars that are lightweight and exhilarating to drive. The new Aero 8 signifies a return to this formula within our flagship range of vehicles. The Aero 8 offers the perfect marriage of fine craftsmanship and performance technology, one that we believe is so important in today’s increasingly autonomous world”, stated Morgan Managing Director, Steve Morris. Styling of the new Aero 8 was influenced by classic open cars from the 1960s, reflecting a trend of long, fast and low shoulder lines and cabin focused body work. From above, the view echoes that of a boat deck, enhancing the sense of adventure and escapism. A dramatic rear opening clam shell boot is used to both tension and hide the new double-lined mohair hood. Occupants are seated low in the vehicle, which in turn enables a sleek roof line and balanced vehicle proportions. The Aero 8 is available with an optional hardtop that transforms the car into a coupé with ease.

The aluminium chassis benefits from improved torsional stiffness, a revised front end, all new suspension, anti-roll bars and a new BMW limited slip differential. The driver benefits from a more responsive and better handling sports car. ABS (with EBD), power steering, cruise control and airbags add further passenger convenience and safety.

This, the most refined Aero product to date, is a fitting evolution of Morgan’s most technologically advanced range of vehicles. The Aero 8 will enter production in Q4 2015 with limited production numbers available. Morgan tailors every car to align with the customer’s personal vision. With infinite combinations of paint, leather and a vast array of detail choices, every Aero built will be a one-off.

Chlóe Discotheque Review By Carol N: Honolulu, HI
"The highlight of this place has to be the patio. The main dance floor is a bit crowded and although I loved the music inside..the music outside was just as good..With more room to dance.

The patio is what grabbed our attention. The security was super nice to us...and the drinks were nice and balanced. Meaning...they were strong enough to taste the alcohol. .but not overpowering and still yummy!

I'm here for another month..possibly longer..me and my girlfriends will definitely be back!"

News : A$AP Rocky Speaks On Yams' Death

News : A$AP Rocky Speaks On Yams' Death

A$AP Rocky has discussed the cause of death of his friend and colleague, A$AP Yams.

A$AP Yams' death was caused by an acute mixed drug intoxication, it was recently confirmed. Yams, whose real name was Steven Rodriguez, was the founding member of A$AP Mob. He died aged 26 in January of this year.

Speaking to the New York Times, Rocky commented: "He always had a struggle with drugs. That was his thing."

In the new interview Rocky recalls the night of Yams' death, when he was at A$AP Lou and Yams' Brooklyn apartment. At 3am, they found Yams unconscious on his bed, which was covered in vomit. "I just look at his face. I look at [A$AP] Lou. You could just tell. We knew," commented Rocky. "I was scared. I was wilding on everybody, like, 'Who let him do drugs?,' even though you can't blame nobody."

Yams' body was then taken to Woodhull Medical Center and Rocky's ex-girlfriend, model Chanel Iman, came to the hospital. "They were tight," said Rocky. "She really took it hard, man. She was crying more than me."

The hip-hop executive behind the careers of A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg and the rest of the A$AP Mob, is ruled to have died accidentally from the drugs which included opiates and benzodiazepine. He was instrumental in the formation of A$AP Mob in 2007 and the group went on to release the 2012 mixtape 'Lords Never Worry'. He is also credited as being a key figure in Rocky's solo success, telling The New York Times in 2013 that "Rocky's like Luke Skywalker, and I'm Yoda".

A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg both posted tributes to their friend following his death in January. They were then followed by a large number of rappers and artists including Drake, Rihanna, Danny Brown, The Weeknd, Mark Ronson and Azealia Banks among others.

Gadgets : Chromebook Pixel

Gadgets : Chromebook Pixel

The Chromebook Pixel is Google’s vision of what a computer should be like – with a high-resolution screen, excellent battery life and solid aluminium body, with apps and data stored in the cloud.

But the Pixel is a contradiction – at £799 it’s an expensive machine that uses an operating system designed for cheap computers.

Most Chromebooks cost under £250 and are made from cheaper materials and with low-end specifications.

The Pixel is machined from high-grade matt aluminium similar to high-end ultrabooks, and using high-end components. The design is understated and minimal, with squared edges and subtle branding.

A single light-up strip in the lid indicates whether the computer is on. Double-tap it with the lid closed and it’ll show you the current battery level.

Open, it looks like any other high-end laptop, with a full-sized backlit chiclet keyboard that’s well-made with good responsive keys, a smooth glass multi-touch trackpad and a black glass touchscreen.

It has speakers hidden under the keyboard that distort at maximum volume, but are quite loud and clear.

The screen is excellent, with deep blacks and accurate colours. It is also higher-resolution than most other laptops, rivalling Apple’s retina displays and Dell’s new Ultrasharp QHD+ in pixel density, which makes text, objects and images pin-sharp and very easy to read.

In common with Apple’s retina displays and modern smartphones and tablets, the Pixel defaults to a resolution that isn’t the maximum the screen can display, making objects on the screen tiny, but one that uses the extra pixels to render the objects in higher clarity with sharper edges referred to as a “HiDPI”.

At 1.5Kg the Pixel is light enough to stuff into a backpack and is lighter than a 1.58Kg 13in MacBook Pro, but heavier than Dell’s 1.26Kg XPS 13 and Apple’s 0.92Kg MacBook. It’s also 15.3mm thick, which is thinner than both the 18mm thick 13in MacBook Pro and the 20mm thick Dell XPS 13. Apple’s super-thin 13.1mm-thick MacBook has it beat, however.

Specifications
Screen: 12.85in 2560 x 1700 resolution (239 pixels per inch)
Processor: 2.2GHz Intel Core i5
RAM: 8GB
Storage: 32GB, SD card reader
Connectivity: Wi-Fi (802.11ac), Bluetooth 4.0, USB3.0, USB type C
Camera: 720p wide angle web cam
Dimensions: 297.7 x 224.6 x 15.3mm
Weight: 1.5Kg
Over 12 hours per charge

The outside of the Pixel is more premium than any other Chromebook, but so are the components on the inside, which could be described as overkill for something that’s designed to live in the cloud and uses an operating system that’s basically just a web browser.

The 2.2GHz Core i5 processor with 8GB of RAM make everything super smooth. Web pages load noticeably faster on the Pixel than most other computers I’ve tested, while apps from the Chrome store are snappy and responsive.

Chrome OS doesn’t have any demanding apps, so it’s difficult to see why it needs to be quite so powerful. The touchscreen is also accurate and responsive, and comes in handy for pinch to zoom gestures, scrolling and simple taps.

The Pixel is well equipped with ports and connectivity. The usual suspects of Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac are present, as are two USB 3.0 ports and an SD card reader. It also has two USB type-C ports, one either side of the machine. They’re used for charging as well as multiple inputs and outputs including connecting to external displays. A USB C to HDMI or DisplayPort adapter will be required, however.

One of the criticisms of the previous generation of Pixel released in 2013 was poor battery life. The new 2015 Pixel has almost everything roundly trounced. It’s rated for 12-hours per charge, but I easily saw 13 hours plus in general usage.

Charging via USB C and the very Apple-like charger is easy and fast, with a full charge taking about two hours or up to two hours battery life after charging for about 15 minutes. The Pixel can be charged from either USB C port, which is very handy.

The only thing Google skimped on for the Pixel was storage, fitting only 32GB of flash. Google intends for everything but a few local files to be stored in the cloud and gives users 1TB of space on Google Drive for three years with every Pixel purchase.

Considering there are no real applications to download and Google Music stores it all in the cloud, 32GB will be enough for most. More can be added via the SD card slot or a USB flash drive if needed.

Chrome, with a few Android apps
The Pixel runs Google’s Chrome OS, which is essentially a whole computer based around the company’s Chrome browser. That generally limits the functionality to only things that can be done with a web browser, which people stuck using traditional computers might be surprised to find out is most things.

Office duties, emailing, messaging, image editing, streaming music and video can all be done through the browser. The only thing I’ve struggled to do with the Pixel is edit video, but even some things can be done with a few web apps.

Chrome OS can also run a selection of Android apps, which helps expand what can be done. Evernote and Wunderlist are a few of my favourites. But Chrome OS cannot run applications such as Apple’s iTunes or Adobe’s Photoshop.

Generally speaking, Chrome OS can do 95% of what people need to do with a computer, easily and efficiently 95% of the time. The trouble comes when you need to do something it can’t that a regular PC or Apple laptop could.

It is possible to install Linux on the Pixel, and the majority of developers who own one will likely do that, which opens up a whole other application ecosystem.

Price The Google Chromebook Pixel costs £799. A more powerful version with an Intel Core i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 64GB SSD costs £999. For comparison, Dell’s XPS 13 with a similar display costs £1,099 and Apple’s 13in MacBook Pro costs £999.

Verdict
The Google Chromebook Pixel 2015 is undoubtedly the best Chrome OS computer. It’s also a very good laptop, competing on hardware terms with the very best of them.

But while Chrome OS is very capable most of the time, and makes for an excellent second computer for browsing the web and other light duties, it can’t run traditional Windows or OS X apps. That 5% of the time when a full application like iTunes is needed, or some video needs editing, or an image needs heavy editing in a powerful piece of software such as Photoshop, that’s where Chrome OS falls down.

For £800 the Pixel is overkill as a Chromebook, but it is a fantastic Chromebook and if that’s what’s required, then the Pixel is perfect. For most people, that £800 is better spent on a PC or Mac laptop.

Pros: fast, aluminium body, fantastic high resolution screen, 12+ hours battery, USB C, zero maintenance required

Cons: Chrome OS still limited for some things, three to four times the price of other Chromebooks, very little local storage

Cars : Galpin Rocket

Cars : Galpin Rocket

While Ford was busy making a huge splash with the 2016 Mustang GT350, Henrik Fisker and Galpin Auto Sports pulled the covers off their super-Mustang creation, the Rocket. But this isn’t a one-off SEMA late-comer, it’s the first in a series of low-volume Mustangs set for production by GAS.

Fisker and GAS president Beau Boeckmann first started working on the idea after the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance back in August 2014. The two worked feverously to ready the design sketches and performance upgrades for the car — and boy, has it paid off.

The Rocket features a substantially reworked body with a new front end, hood, and wider fenders — all crafted from carbon fiber. Under the Rocket’s hood lies the Mustang GT’s original 5.0-liter V-8 but with a Whipple supercharger forcing air down its throat. The spinning screws give the Coyote engine an impressive 725 horsepower. It’s all routed through the ‘Stang’s six-speed manual gearbox.

Fisker and the guys at GAS didn’t stop there. The suspension is updated with fully adjustable shocks, enabling owners to dial in the style of performance they want. Large, 21-inch wheels are wrapped with Pirelli P-Zero rubber.

The Mustang Rocket will be available in very limited numbers though Galpin’s Ford dealer network or the select hand-picked Ford dealers around the world. While the company hasn’t given any official word on pricing, the talk around the LA Auto Show floor put its sticker price just over the $100,000 mark.

News : Iggy Azalea Social Media On Hiatus

News : Iggy Azalea Social Media On Hiatus

Iggy Azalea is enjoying not using social media so much she doubts she will return.

The Australian rapper ditched Twitter in February after becoming disillusioned with the online world. Having been embroiled in Twitter spats with Snoop Dogg and Azealia Banks, Iggy grew tired of the constant negativity. When she saw mean comments about bikini photos of her by paparazzi it was the final straw.

"[It's] so nice not to be on social media so I'm kind of going to continue that until, maybe forever," she said in an interview with the AP news agency.

"I think it's disgusting. I don't think it's nice to stick your camera through somebody's fence and hedge and take a picture of them in their yard and think that's OK at all."

Iggy's social media profiles are now handled by members of her team, which gives her more time to work on her career.

She was due to begin a tour next month but it's had to be pushed back because she couldn't book the venues she wanted. Although that's not ideal, the 24-year-old wanted to make sure her vision was completely realised.

Plus, it means she is now freed up to head into the studio again.

"I didn't anticipate having any time to completely finish it, but now that I have kind of the time," she said. "I'd love to have an album at the end of 2015."

She's known to have already laid down a track with Britney Spears and the pair clearly had a great time working together. Britney has gushed about how much she loves Iggy, with the hip-hop star returning the praise.

"I love Britney. She's super-sweet and I just want to hang out with her all the time," she said.

Videos : Snoop Dogg : Peaches N Cream ft. Charlie Wilson

Last fall, it was announced that Snoop Dogg would be teaming up with Pharrell for his new album, Bush. Today we get the video for the album’s first single, “Peaches N Cream.” The clip is super trippy, thanks to heavy visual effects, but fits the groovy feel of the track. Bush is due out May 12, watch the video above.

Throwback Video : Pete Rock & C. L. Smooth : T.R.O.Y.

Throwback Video : Pete Rock & C. L. Smooth : T.R.O.Y.

"They Reminisce Over You (T.R.O.Y.)" is a song by Pete Rock & CL Smooth, inspired by the death of their close friend Troy Dixon (better known as "Trouble" T. Roy of Heavy D & the Boyz) in 1990. The song was the lead single off their debut album, Mecca and the Soul Brother, released in 1992, and later became a staple of classic early 1990s hip hop. The song peaked at #58 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Hot Rap Tracks chart.

Pete Rock in a 2007 interview with Village Voice:

I had a friend of mine that passed away, and it was a shock to the community. I was kind of depressed when I made it. And to this day, I can't believe I made it through, the way I was feeling. I guess it was for my boy. When I found the record by Tom Scott, basically I just heard something incredible that touched me and made me cry. It had such a beautiful bassline, and I started with that first. I found some other sounds and then heard some sax in there and used that. Next thing you know, I have a beautiful beat made. When I mixed the song down, I had Charlie Brown from Leaders of the New School in the session with me, and we all just started crying."

Over a saxophone and bass sample of Tom Scott's cover of "Today" by Jefferson Airplane, CL Smooth unravels fond memories of his own childhood, being the son of a young teenage mother, her father and four siblings, and the love he feels for other family members in working class Mt. Vernon. The chorus' ad libs are provided by Pete Rock. The 12 second intro is sampled from the 1971 song "When She Made Me Promise" by The Beginning of the End. The b-side of the 12" pressing is "The Creator", which is taken from the group's 1991 EP, All Souled Out.

Although not a chart topper at the time of its release, "Reminisce..." has since gone on to become a staple in hip hop; one that immediately recalls a certain period in time (the early 1990s) as well as paying respects to lost ones, and acknowledging family members. Many critics consider it one of the best produced hip-hop songs, and it continues to appear on many "Greatest Songs" lists such as Q Magazine's "1001 Best Songs Ever", Spin Magazine's "Top 20 Singles of the 90s", and The Source's "100 Best Rap Singles Of All Time". It was voted #6 in About.com's Top 100 Rap Songs. It was also number 90 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop. Pitchfork Media's included the song at number 35 on their Top 200 Tracks of the 90s.

Rolling Stone magazine ranked the song #12 on its list of "The 50 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of All Time."

Pete Rock and CL Smooth were known for their uniquely soulful sound that they brought to the genre of hip-hop. On their album Mecca and the Soul Brother, many of the tracks were sampled jazz tunes with hip-hop drum beats and R&B vocals. "They Reminisce Over You" is no different; featuring a jazz bass line with a constant saxophone riff, and a backup singers harmony in the background. Verse one discusses the hardships of growing up with a single mother. CL Smooth talks about how his father did not play a role in helping his mother raise him or his sister, and how his mother was forced to take on both roles in the household. He says that although his mother raised him right, he still needed a male figure in his life. He ultimately concludes the first verse saying that the lack of male leadership destines young men to repeat the cycle of not being involved in their own children’s lives. The second and third verses take a more positive light. In the second verse CL Smooth talks about how his uncle played the crucial role of a male father figure in his life and helped him become a man and how more males need to make a positive impact on the community. Finally in the third verse CL Smooth speaks to his friend Troy. He thanks him in being one of the only people believed in him and kept him on the right path. He then continues to update Troy on the well being of his family and saying that they reminisce about him.

It has been lyrically referenced in songs including "My Advice 2 You" by Gang Starr off the Moment of Truth album, "Home of the Greats" by Black Milk, "Can't Tell Me Nothing" by Kanye West, "Reminisce" by Mos Def, Bilal and Common, "Ego Trippin' (Part Two)" by De La Soul, "Memory Lane" by Nas, "Stay Around" by Talib Kweli, "It Is Me" by Method Man, "Downlo Ho" by Scientifik, "Nostalgia" by Chance the Rapper, "I Want You" by Common, and "School of Hard Knocks" by Californian Rock/Rap group P.O.D.. The title of Shaquille O'Neal's song "Biological Didn't Bother" is taken from the song's lyrics. The duo of Rock and Smooth themselves lent their voices to an updated 2003 version of the song titled "Reminisce '03", by Mr. Cheeks, and produced by Mr. Sexx. Although Pete is present on the track himself, he would later make disparaging comments about it after his final split with CL Smooth. In 2008, DJ Greg Street made a remake of the song titled "Dope Boyz", which features Lupe Fiasco, Wale and Kardinal Offishall. The song is featured on Greg Street's mixtape, Sertified Worldwide. Don Cannon assisted with the remake's production. A sample of the song was used in the remix to Mary J. Blige's single "Reminisce". The instrumental version is the main song from the video game NBA Street Vol. 2, as well as the soundtrack for the short film "Faith in Fresh" by NYU film student Kahlil Maskati. The song was also featured in the video game Madden NFL 12 as part of that game's EA Trax. In 2012, Hip Hop producers B-Sides and Simonsayz created a remake of the sample for Lupe Fiasco's song "Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free)" which was the first single from Lupe's album Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1. Although the sample was recreated with studio musicians and did not actually use any of the original Tom Scott sax or James Brown drums, it stirred up a controversy by infuriating Pete Rock, who said he felt "violated."

Future has dropped a new tune titled “March Madness,” just before the tourney’s tip-off in less than 24 hours. Frequent collaborator Tarantino of 808 Mafia delivers with an electronic-oriented instrumental, on which Future mixes basketball references with his usual out-of-this-world talk, metaphorically representative of being under the influence. Smooth delivery and a hypnotizing beat makes for a formidable first entry for the title of the official March Madness anthem. Listen to the track below, and be sure to head over to HYPETRAK for the latest music premieres.

News : Jessica Simpson Returning To Music?

News : Jessica Simpson Returning To Music?

When you think about has-been pop stars that should make a comeback, Jessica Simpson is not somebody that comes to mind. Sure, we all loved “A Public Affair” and “With You,” but her pop career was a moment in time that’s now passed and doesn’t need a second act.

However, if you do happen to be one of the few people on the planet that’s actually been praying for the return of Jessica Simpson the singer, then you might be in luck. According to Us Weekly (via Contact Music), Jess is looking to revive her music career now that she’s successfully settled into married life.

Additionally, back in May, the 34-year-old revealed that she was adding onto the recording studio in her home so that she could start singing again and “see what comes out.”

Of course, just because Jessica Simpson could release new music, doesn’t mean that anybody’s going to buy it. Her last musical output, a Christmas album and a single called “Who We Are” to promote her short-lived VH1 reality show The Price of Beauty, both tanked so hard that they didn’t even chart.

Luckily for Simpson, she has a billion-dollar clothing and lifestyle brand to fall back on, so it’s not like she needs to worry about going broke from a flop single or two. At this stage, she might as well just make music to use in commercials for her clothing line.

"BEST bar in New Orleans!

Super casual atmosphere, cheap drinks, and AMAZING bands. What more do you want?

We saw the Washboard Chaz Blues group, WOW. They are world renowned, and it shows. If you are here when they are playing, come visit!

Also a great place to people watch. Some locals come in. There was a guy with a cane and a suit that came in and was a hit with all the ladies, and an old lady who chain smoked and brought her own tambourine to play with the band. Always a good time at the spotted cat!"

Videos : Sam Hunt : Take Your Time

Videos : Sam Hunt : Take Your Time

Sam Hunt‘s “Take Your Time” video is intense. In the clip, the relative newcomer takes a fearless stand against domestic violence, and then becomes the hero.

This is unexpected, as “Take Your Time” isn’t outwardly a song with a serious meaning or one which focuses on domestic violence — instead, it’s a love song in which a guy tries to woo a girl by telling her all he wants from her is to take her time. But the music video is powerful from start to finish.

It begins with what looks to be a scuffle, but the camera is moving too quickly for the viewer to make sense of what’s happening. Hunt’s name is then boldly displayed on the screen, setting the tone for a mini-movie.

A once-smiling young woman, an innocent baby and an angry husband with an affinity for booze appear. Things start off happy, with trips to Goodwill and kisses on the forehead, but it doesn’t stay that way for long. The action evolves to gun cleaning, volatile fights and of course, more alcohol. In the center of it all is the woman and Hunt, who’s watching it unfold as a bystander. He unsuccessfully attempts to intervene before the video’s very serious conclusion, when finally, the pop-country singer steps up to save the girl he’s kept a close watch on, presumably rescuing her from a harsh fate. Hunt fights the husband off as she and her baby escape, speeding away in a beat-up truck.

Singles : Martin Garrix : Don't Look Down (feat. Usher)

Listen To : Martin Garrix : Don't Look Down

Who is Marin Garrix?
Martin Garrix may not be a superhero or a secret agent, but he does possess two identities. A 17-year-old student by day, but when the sun goes down he can be found behind the decks in front of packed hotspots and festivals across the globe, fraternizing with electronic dance music royalty, tirelessly producing in the studio, and dropping records.

You probably know him for his monster hit ‘Animals’, that reached the #1 position in several countries worldwide including Holland, Belgium and England, as well as Top 5 in Australia, France, Spain, and Germany. Following up the success of "Animals", his remix of Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike and Sander van Doorn’s "Project T" got supported by the biggest DJs around, after which his track ‘Wizard’ with Jay Hardway ascended #1 on Beatport, making it the youngest artists ever to reach the top spot on Beatport.com’s Main Chart. “I want to show everyone that if you pursue your dreams, they can come true no matter what. That's what I want to do."

Martin Garrix may just be a superhero after all.
