Cars : Alfa Romeo 4C Definitiva

Cars : Alfa Romeo 4C Definitiva

If chocolate can get an assist from peanut butter, who’s to say the gorgeous Alfa Romeo 4C can’t be improved upon?

The mad scientists at Lazzarini Design have taken the 4C, with all its carbon fiber and impeccable handling, and turned it into a concept that’s downright otherworldly. Thanks to a Hennessey-boosted twin-turbocharged Ferrari V8, the 4C Definitiva goes from 237 hp to a bonkers 738 hp. Keep in mind that’s for a vehicle that barely tips the scales at 2,500 pounds, so yeah, 0-60 happens in a startling 2.5 seconds, and the quarter mile takes less than 10 seconds. A perforated hood and grille and extra-wide flares for both the front and rear tires call even more attention to what was already a jaw-dropping car, and yeah, as you might’ve guessed by this point, there’s no word on whether or not we’ll ever get the chance to (barely) see one of these whisking by us in real life.

Gear : Jackets : Volcom TD2 Jacket

Gear : Jackets : Volcom TD2 Jacket

Without a doubt, the most important aspect of a ski or snowboard jacket is waterproofing. That said, any old plastic-coated textile can keep out water, but a lack of breathability will bring along with it a slew of other problems. Volcom’s TD2 is up to the task, employing varying degrees of breathable and waterproof materials to ensure water is kept out where most needed and breathability is unhindered in where heat builds up. YKK Aquaguard zippers contribute as well, added to a variety of other niceties that include 4-way stretch flex zones for unrestricted movement, Lycra hand gaitors, brushed tricot lined handwarmer pockets, a goggle pocket, jacket-to-pant interface, and more.

The two schools of thought on developing outerwear are this: A) Waterproofing comes first and foremost. If you are dry on the outside, you are warm. B) Higher breathability, combined with just just enough waterproofing, creates a more comfortable experience. Our TD2 Technology combines both A and B. The garment is designed to shed water as efficiently as possible, collecting no water along seams to avoid leakage. We identify areas with the most weather contact, using equal amount of waterproofing and breathability. Where your body retains the most heat we use breathable fabric, eliminating excessive heat and moisture build up. These tools, combined with added flex zones using 4-way stretch for easy movement, create perfect symmetry between yourself and the elements around you.

YKK® AquaGuard® water-repellent zipper, 2-way adjustable hidden toggle quick cinch hood, goggle clips, super suede chin guard, mesh lined zipper vents, stretch adjustable powder skirt, jacket to pant interface, V-Science 2-way cuff system, Lycra hand gaitors, brushed tricot lined handwarmer pockets, pocket access hem cinch, goggle pocket, noise pocket, Stone ticket ring, whistle zipper pull.

Gadgets : Pickup Power

Gadgets : Pickup Power

Pickup Power is a desktop power strip with three AC outlets and 1080 joules of surge protection. But the best part? It's got a portable battery you can pop out and take with you in a pinch. Snag it with a 4000 or 6000mAH battery to charge e-readers, tablets, phones, cameras, and more from anywhere. Instead of cursing the heavens next time your mobile device runs out of juice, just pick up your power and go.

Get a boost on the go with this portable battery; it has one high-powered 2.1A USB port and 4000mAh of juice: enough to power up a smartphone twice on one charge.

The 6000mAh portable battery's got double the ports so you can charge multiple devices simultaneously. It has enough juice to recharge a smartphone three times in one go. A powerful pick-me-up indeed!

It’s that time of year! Time to break out your copy of Kelly Clarkson‘s Wrapped In Red, that is.

Our original American Idol is giving us a little bit more to love this Christmas season with her brand new video for “Wrapped In Red,” the title track from her critically acclaimed 2013 holiday record, which was recently re-issued as a CD/DVD for this year.

The vintage-looking clip, which was shot earlier this year, combines grainy footage from Clarkson Christmases past with shots of the powerhouse singer crooning behind old-timey microphones, looking like the classic diva she is. The Christmas lights and snowflakes twinkling ’round her also help to serve up the holiday spirit. Check out the video over at Amazon, and let us know what you think in the comments below.

News : Kanye Swapping Music For Fashion?

News : Kanye Swapping Music For Fashion?

Kanye West is reportedly planning to 'step away from music'.

While the 37-year-old is known worldwide for his musical talents, he has been enjoying a foray into fashion in recent years.

'After his next collaboration with Paul McCartney comes out, he's going to step away from music and concentrate on clothing,' a source told Page Six.

And according to reports, it is the amount of earning potential involved in the fashion industry that is luring Kanye away from his roots.

He formerly designed a line of trainers for Nike, many of which became collectibles just hours after going on sale. However, Kanye is reported to have cut ties with the sports company because he wasn't making enough money.

Kanye also signed a deal with Adidas, getting a $15 million bonus in doing so, but 'his line has been pushed back four times because he hasn't had enough time to work on it', the source added.

As well as becoming famous for his own style, Kanye has also had a major influence on the way his wife Kim Kardashian dresses.

In a recent interview, Kim ' who frequently appears on best-dressed lists nowadays ' admitted that she didn't even know what Balmain was until Kanye entered her life.

"Absolutely, I have so many pieces," she admitted to cosmopolitan.co.uk when asked if there are any items she simply can't throw out.

"There's this one Balmain zebra jacket that Kanye gave me years ago, like seven years ago. I'd never heard of Balmain before until he gave me that and it's such a special piece. I'll always keep that.'

Listen To : The Social Experiment : Sunday Candy

Chance the Rapper's new album Surf, recorded with his band the Social Experiment, is on the way. Today, he's shared a new track from the record via The Fader. That's "Sunday Candy" above. The Acid Rap follow-up is credited to Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment. The band features Chance, Donnie Trumpet (real name: Nico Segal), Peter Cottontale, and Nate Fox. "Sunday Candy" features vocals from Jamila Woods.

In a Billboard interview, Chance called Surf "the first Social Experiment project" rather than a proper Chance the Rapper release. It's set to feature contributions from Francis Starlite of Francis and the Lights.

Segal discussed the new song with The Fader, emphasizing that Surf is primarily his project (as the artwork above suggests):

We're working on all this music together, but this project in particular is a Donnie Trumpet project. My music, with their influence and ideas, plus us all coming up with crazy shit to do. But at the end of the day, it's my directing.

"This song specifically is a great representation of [The Social Experiment's] collaborative efforts. It's my curation, but then bringing it to the table with all these beautiful people and including them in their own way. Jamila sang on that hook, then I brought it to the collective. Peter added some great layers of texture and helped produce, Nate added a bunch of drums, tons of our friends from Chicago played instruments and added their ideas."

Clubs : Spain : Barcelona : Poble Nou : Razzmatazz Club

Clubs : Spain : Barcelona : Poble Nou : Razzmatazz Club

About Razzmatazz Club
Razzmatazz is arguably Barcelona's one and only super club. It contains five different club spaces in one massive warehouse style building. You could go to this club, choose one room and feel like you'd been in your own club all night. Alternatively, you can take an adventure - get lost in the maze of pumping dancefloors and confusing corridors..

Razzmatazz contains two large spaces and three more intimate club spaces. All have their own dancefloor and numerous bars. The music policy is eclectic - varying across nights and across the different spaces on the same night. Expect modern and forward thinking music, covering everything from electro to pop to dubstep to disco. This club offers some of the best line-ups for international big players.

Razzmatazz Club Review By Jennifer212_12  : Waterford, Ireland
Like all rowdy teenagers, my five friends and I wanted a club where the songs were blaring and the atmosphere was buzzing. We, my potential razzmatazz go-er, were certainly not disappointed. We booked Barcelona as a last minute 'party' holiday and as we have visited the London night life, and the Paris techno boats, we thought Barcelona wouldn't stand a chance against these cosmo cities. However Barcelona proved strongly to be the victor. We went late August, as six eager Irish girls ready to enjoy the general craic of this foreign city. We stayed there for six nights and from post midnight till 8 o clock, we truly were impressed. We attended numerous other clubs like 'Ottozutz' (a club with a slightly ghetto twist), 'Jamboree' (small but with drinks flowing- intense fun), 'City hall'( hotspot for internationals) and 'Opium mar'(killer location with eye candy to match), however none proved competition for our Razzmatazz. A scout approached us on the beach and for 15 euro (5 of which we paid there and then) you were entitled to a bus to and from the club running from 2-7 and two free drinks on arrival ( a short and a long). We were sold. The bus proved great fun going there as chatting with all nationalities started the night off on a Continental level. The club, the music, the people = Wow. Instant buzz when entering nightclub, along with a sneaky naggon or two, caused us to hit the floor HARD. Dancing with the Spaniards, on top of podiums and working our way up to the d.j throughout the friendly frenzy caused this club to come out on top. As avid techno lovers, we were definitely impressed. The dress code is definitely casual (shorts and tees certainly do suffice), so ladies no need to kill your feet simply throw on a pair of converse/ summer toms and dance/stomp the night away. Only negative; make sure to hold on to tickets as without them your promised free drink, isn't free at all. After dancing for hours, our bus awaited us to bring us back to 'las Ramblas' (note; make sure to make a bee line for the bus when club closes to avoid crowds.)After a recital of the Irish national anthem on a bus full of frenchies, we continued the craic at a french party where our leaving cert standard combined with dutch courage enabled us to keep the banter following. From 2-9 (a.m) this club and its consequences provided us a night most of us can remember!!!! NOT TO BE MISSED- TRUST ME.

Gadgets : Jabra Move Wireless Bluetooth Headphones

Gagdets : Jabra Move Wireless Bluetooth Headphones

Bigger isn’t necessarily better when it comes to bluetooth headphones; Jabra has done an excellent job of proving this to us with their new Jabra Move Wireless On-Ear headphones. We can only assume they’re called the Moves because they’re designed for people on the move. They’re lightweight and durable with a rock and roll attitude. They sport an 8 hour battery a respectable price tag, and are available in a few awesome colors.

The Jabra Move Wireless is actually about the same size as your standard on-ears, but their minimalistic design makes them look and feel smaller. The donut shaped earcups have the diameter of a large ear. The earcups are well cushioned and the flexible headband ensures keeps them from getting uncomfortable with extended wear. The band is made of a very durable and flexible metal and wrapped with a slightly cushioned fabric. You can tell when going hands-on that the band and hinges will last you a while, but just to be sure Jabra has flexibility tested the band 10,000 times. Somehow Jabra managed to keep these headphones quite light at under 6 ounces in weight.

The Jabra Moves are, of course, wireless bluetooth headphones. They have a built-in battery thats rechargeable using a standard micro-USB cable. They come with a regular headphone cable too so you can use them without battery and with any music player. The included cable is maybe the most disappointing feature. It’s just a regular cable, no inline control or microphone. Luckily, if you’re using bluetooth, there is a microphone and audio controls built straight into the headset. After all, Jabra is known for their bluetooth headsets. Theres a volume rocker with a universal button on the center. The controls take a bit of getting used to. The volume buttons double as track control buttons with a long press. The universal button pauses and plays music, or answers and ends calls. Holding it accesses Siri, and double tapping redials your last phone call.

The battery is rated to last for 8 hours of play or 12 days of standby. In practice, it will get most people through the week. The standby is top notch. The headphones know when you’re not listening to music and essentially power off. The only weird thing with the battery is that at about 40% battery, you’ll start to get low battery prompts. On iPhone, there’s a battery indicator that displays remaining battery when connected via bluetooth. The battery only takes between 1 and 2 hours to fully charge.

We were pleasantly surprised with the Jabra Move’s sound quality. With their size and price point, we didn’t have the highest expectations, but they’re quite enjoyable! It helps that the earcups create a great seal around your ear. The noise isolation is fantastic. Music comes alive with the Jabra Moves. There’s a lot of depth and clarity. The bass is full and gets pretty bassy, but it’s also well balanced. It won’t rattle your skull, but there’s enough bass that you can feel it without your music getting overshadowed. The highs are crisp and the mids are clear and well detailed.

Verdict

Pricing in just under $100, the Jabra Moves could be the best on-ear Bluetooth headphones out there for the price. You’re getting a lot for the price: portability, comfort, wireless audio with a solid range, supreme audio quality, and it doubles as a bluetooth headset. They’re nice and durable, so you’ll want to bring them everywhere. For now, there are three colors available: black, blue, or red. The Jabra Moves currently available on Amazon for as little as $93.49.

The Good: Lightweight, Durable, Comfortable, Great audio, Micro-USB charging, Microphone and Audio controls built-in, Colors, Affordable
The Bad: Low battery alerts start very early, No controls/microphone on included cable

Gear : Jackets : Chrome WARM Collection

If all of the different cool pieces of gear from Chrome have anything in common, it’s that they’re all built to take a beating. The new WARM collection is designed in kind, but it beefs up previous clothing offerings from the brand with a few new key features. Most importantly, since “Winter is Coming,” the new vest and work shirt are made with a lightweight poly-fill insulation packed inside a water-resistant ripstop nylon shell. The WARM collection will keep you that way–even in the midst of rain, snow and wind. They also have a ventilated yoke because warm doesn’t have to mean miserable. You’ll also get reflective details because you’ll probably throw caution to the wind and ride your bike anyway. Oh yeah, and both the vest and work shirt come in a reversible black/burnt orange colorway. Just in case you have any downtime on your adventure, they pack into a pillow for naps.

Eminem follows up the release of Shady XV with the official music video for “Guts Over Fear” featuring Sia. Relating the tale of his comeuppance, Marshall Mathers’ life is told through the story of a boxer in a rundown part of Michigan as he tries to achieve his dreams while balancing his family life and relationships. The Australian songstress appears during the chorus as she reinforces the song’s title against a locker room and ruins.

News : Iggy Azalea Wins Hip-Hop AMA

News : Iggy Azalea Wins Hip-Hop AMA

Australian rapper Iggy Azalea has won favourite rap/hip-hop album and best rap artist at the 2014 American Music Awards. Joining her on the winners list were compatriots 5 Seconds of Summer, who took out new artist of the year.

Azalea, and her debut studio album The New Classic, beat industry veterans Eminem and Drake to take both hip-hop categories at the awards ceremony, held at LA’s Nokia Theatre.

In a short but emotional speech, the 24-year-old artist said it was the first time in her life she had been awarded a prize.

“And it means so much to me that it is for best hip-hop, because that’s what inspired me to move to America and pursue my dreams. It’s what helped me when I was a teenager to escape and to get through my life and to better times.”

The win comes after Azalea hit back at the leak of an explicit new track from Eminem, which includes the words: “Put that shit away, Iggy. You don’t wanna blow that rape whistle on me.”

Azalea took to Twitter to say she was bored with “old men threatening young women as entertainment” and that she was more interested in the “young women getting $ trend”.

She added, “women in music have the bigger balls anyhow, we endure much more harassment and critic.”

However, her acceptance speech gave no hint of the fracas, with Azalea adding: “It means so much that I can stand here against Eminem and Drake and come out with this”, before acknowledging friend and mentor, rapper T.I.

Taylor Swift opened the night with her song Blank Space and was awarded the new Dick Clark award for excellence. Her speech has been widely read as a continuation of her recent opposition to the use of streaming services in music.

In thanking her fans, the American singer said “what you did by going out and investing in music and albums is you are saying that you believe in the same thing that I believe in: that music is valuable and music should be consumed in albums and albums should be consumed as art and appreciated.”

Azalea performed her No 1 hit Fancy, with Charli XCX, described by The Guardian’s Alex Needham as: “a big production number with tons of dancers and costume changes but most importantly, genuinely charismatic singers/rappers.” She also accompanied Jennifer Lopez in her song Booty, for the show finale.

Other performers from the night included Ariana Grande, Jessie J, Nicki Minaj, Mary J Blige, Lorde and Sam Smith.

5 Seconds of Summer performed a cover of The Romantics song What I Like About You. Upon accepting their best new artist award, drummer Ashton Irwin said, “this just shows a little band from Sydney can do great things.”

But it was another boy band from a different continent, UK’s One Direction, who took out the top award of the night, artist of the year. The five-piece band also won favourite group and favourite album in the pop/rock categories.

Both groups, along with Charli XCX and Katy Perry, will be appearing at Australia’s most important music awards, the Arias, on Wednesday evening.

Perry is already in Australia for her Prismatic tour, and was thus unable to accept her three awards from the night: favourite female pop/rock artist, favourite adult contemporary artist and single of the year for Dark Horse, featuring Juicy J.

"Out of nowhere" seems to be Beyoncé's new go-to move, because she just dropped two new tracks without warning.

"7/11" and "Ring Off" are both included in the deluxe repackaging of her self-titled 2013 album, due out next week. But they've made their way online in advance, either intentionally or otherwise. Snippets of both songs were leaked Wednesday.

"7/11" is a more up-tempo swaggering number, while on "Ring Off" Beyoncé delivers more of a smooth mid-tempo ballad.

Clubs : USA : CA : Long Beach : Mai Tai Bar

About Mai Tai Bar
Overlooking gorgeous Rainbow Harbor, the Mai Tai Bar at The Pike is Long Beach's hottest live music venue. Come to relax in our open air patio overlooking the water and groove to the best in contemporary island music by Long Beach's hippest bands. Sip a cool mai tai and watch the sunset on the harbor as live music heats up the night.

Mai Tai Bar Review By Lydia D.  : Ontario, CA
Oh My "Mai Tai"....! Mai Tai has it all especially if you love, live entertainment with your dining experience! The name has Tahitian/Polynesian roots... thus the decor, food, and even the entertainments reflects this theme.

The night my boyfriend and I went, a local singer well known in Hawaii "Anuhea" was performing. Other nights they have polynesian dance performances. At night the tiki torch flames are lit, and you almost feel like you are on an island as their location is close to the beach, and there is a nice view of the boats in the harbor as well as the Queen Mary docked in the distance.

The food is fresh and delish. We ordered :Calamari (crisp and fresh) it came with 2 dipping sauces. We also had the Thai firecracker shrimp, also a great choice...and finally we had the coconut shrimp, I could have eaten 2 orders of this! So good.
Their signature drink, the Mai Tai is tasty...(a little heavy on the ice..) but very good.

The crowd at Mai Tai, is mostly mid 20's through 30 somethings... everyone there is really mellow and fun... alot of group parties, and girls night out type of people.

Mai Tai is fun, and combines the things i look for in going out: good food,  drinks, music , oh and of course good company.

Cars : Toyota Mirai

Cars : Toyota Mirai

Toyota is trying to do for fuel cell vehicles what Tesla did for electric cars: It revealed its hydrogen-powered Mirai on Monday and also announced a network of refueling stations across the northeastern United States.

The Mirai, which means “future” in Japanese, can travel 300 miles on a tank of hydrogen, refuels in less than five minutes and only emits water vapor, according to Toyota.

Toyota partnered with industrial gas supplier Air Liquide on the stations. A network of 12 is planned for New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Rhode Island. Toyota says the locations have been selected to “provide the backbone of a hydrogen highway for the Northeast corridor.”

The company already announced a $7.3-million loan to FirstElement Fuels to support the operation of 19 fueling stations in California. So at least Toyota is putting its money where its mouth is.

Toyota president Akio Toyoda made the announcement in a video, noting that “we are at a turning point in automotive history.”

“As a test driver, I knew this new fuel cell vehicle had to be truly fun to drive -- and believe me, it is. It has a low center of gravity, which gives it very dynamic handling. After surviving millions of miles on the test track and 10 years of testing on public roads in freezing cold and scorching heat, after passing extensive crash tests, and after working with local governments and researchers around the world to help make sure it is easy and convenient to refuel, we are ready to deliver.”

The car officially launches tomorrow night, Nov. 18. We’ll get more information at that time, and probably at the LA Auto Show as well.

News : Pear Farmers Thank Rick Ross

News : Pear Farmers Thank Rick Ross

Rick Ross lost a lot of weight this year, and while he joked in a recent Funny or Die video that it was thanks to his "RossFit" workout routine, the real reason has to do with eating healthy foods like pears. Especially pears. In a backstage interview with BBC personality Tim Westwood, the rapper famously gave a "shoutout to all the pear."

This amazing ode to fruit went viral, as well it should've. Almost every other comment on Ross' Instagram is just the pear emoji, and he recently even autographed a fan's pear. Now the pear farmers of America are thanking Rozay for giving the fruit of their labor so much attention. "On behalf of our 1,600 pear growers from the Northwest region, we are pleased that Rick has mentioned the health benefits of pears," USA Pears spokesperson Kathy Stephenson told Modern Farmer. "Overall, we could not be more pleased with our message being delivered to a new, young and hip demographic." Farmer reports that there hasn't been a significant uptick in sales (yet), but farmers are just happy Ross put pears back in the limelight, since they really were ripe for a comeback.

Videos : Phillip Phillips : Unpack Your Heart

Videos : Phillip Phillips : Unpack Your Heart

Phillip Phillips goes a bit fantastical with his just-released “Unpack Your Heart” music video. Lifted from his Behind The Light sophomore album, the clip sees the American Idol season 11 champ step into the dazzling purple suit of Willy Wonka: anyone else feeling that serious Charlie & The Chocolate Factory vibe, too? The plucky uptempo track follows on the success of his previous singles “Home” and “Gone Gone Gone” off his blockbuster debut The World From The Side Of the Moon and “Raging Fire,” also from his sophomore LP.

While possessing a delightfully airy charm, the music video unfolds like a child’s dream—a box marked with a heart (a metaphor for your own blood-pumping organ) eventually explodes, revealing all sorts of magical secrets. Once the inner light is unleashed, Phillips is surrounded by mountains, sparkling waterfalls and a vibrant rainbow. “Bring all you are,” Phillips sings, “bring your daylight, bring your dark. Share your silence and unpack your heart.” When you open up, you’ll find your life is that much lighter.

Phillips, who just celebrated the two-year anniversary of Moon, is currently out on the road on his Behind The Light Tour, with a slew of dates the rest of the year and well into 2015.

Disclosure recruited Mary J. Jimmy Napes co-wrote the track, as he often does these days. Check it out.

Avalon is one of Hollywood’s most historic landmarks. From The Beatles first West Coast performance in 1964 to ABC’s hit ‘Hollywood Palace’ hosted by Jerry Lewis and Sasha’s first West Coast DJ residency, the theater at Hollywood and Vine has been a show-business epicenter since opening in 1927.

Avalon Hollywood Review BY Peter L. : Los Angeles, CA
"First time here and I was pretty impressed. You can find nearby parking for 10 bucks and if you preorder the ticket you pick up your ticket at will call then walk in like VIP. The location is close by to me so its very convenient. The security guards and admission personnel were very polite and friendly. Probably one of the biggest night clubs I've been to in LA. The sound system was on point and you have more than enough room to find a dance spot. I can't wait for my second round here!"

News : Rita Ora Speaks On Social Hacking

News : Rita Ora Speaks On Social Hacking

Rita Ora warns fans to be careful on Twitter.

The 23-year-old had quite a shock recently when a tweet appeared on her official account, promising to release new music if it drummed up 100,000 retweets. However, after reaching around 2,000, it was swiftly deleted, with Rita explaining she had been hacked.

Reflecting on the experience, she urges her followers to think about how easy it can be to suffer something similar.

"Basically, everyone gets hacked, it's dealt with, I'm over it, it's old news," she brushed it off to the British edition of OK! magazine.

"Twitter has uploaded the security 150 per cent, so be careful because you all need to check your own Twitter accounts - and no naked pictures."

Luckily, Rita has plenty of other things to keep her going. Her new album is slated for release next year and she also has a small part in Fifty Shades of Grey, which is out in February. Her stint as mentor on The Voice UK alongside will.i.am, Ricky Wilson and Sir Tom Jones has influenced her latest tracks.

"Obviously being part of The Voice, I've worked more with will.i.am; he worked on my first album, so that's exciting," she revealed.

"I've also done some things with people I've hand-picked, like Major Lazer and DJ Mustard and Prince. Being a part of anything with Prince is incredible. It's about just making music that feels good."

Now Rita is looking forward to the future, which will hopefully include more acting work. She says her cameo in Fifty Shades was a "wake-up call" and has opened doors for her.

Videos : Calvin Harris : Outside ft. Ellie Goulding

Videos : Calvin Harris : Outside ft. Ellie Goulding

Calvin Harris released the video for "Outside," his most recent collaboration with the UK songstress Ellie Goulding. The two artists also worked together on the smash hit "I Need Your Love," which appeared on Harris's 18 Months album. Watch the "Outside" video below.

"Outside" is the fourth single from Motion, Harris's latest full-length. It's about decaying relationships, with Goulding singing lines like, "Fire's out, what do you want to be?" The video takes this to the extreme, finding both Harris and Goulding in (separate) relationships that are rapidly imploding: there's fighting, screaming, hair-tearing, and crockery throwing.

Towards the end of the song, Goulding and Harris seem to develop special powers, and Harris stops the plates flying towards him in mid-air and Goulding keeping a motorcycle suspended above her. Outside seems like the safe place to be.

Clubs : USA : FL : Miami: Mansion Nightclub

Clubs : USA : FL : Miami: Mansion Nightclub

About Mansion Nightclub
Miami Beach nightlife visionary Eric Milon, who previously established the Living Room as a glamorous tropical waypoint for east-coast A-listers and European jet-setters in the early '90s, now present us with Mansion, a club that has become the prime destination for Hollywood celebs and the hippest crowd in South Florida.

In its latest $2.5 million dollar makeover, Mansion transformed itself into Mansion 360, a visual experience which surrounds guests with lighting displays, video projections and a whole host of live aerialists, contortionists and performance artists, all set to music.

Set in the massive 1235 Washington Avenue space that was originally built as the French Casino in 1936, and has housed such legendary nightclubs as Glam Slam, Club Z and Paragon. With six bars on two levels and a main-room stage to host fashion shows and live performances, we predict Mansion will continue to rewrite South Beach nightlife history for years to come.

Mansion Nightclub Review By Vique M. : Miami, FL
Umm- can I say WOW, WOW, WOW! Mansion nightclub closed its' doors for less then two weeks and re-opened with a sold-out, two night event with Deadmau5 as the headliner and was nothing short of A-MA-ZING! I scoped out the new Mansion 360 on Saturday night and I can honestly say that Mansion has made a comeback.  The Opium Group spared no expense in the renovations that included all new LED lighting throughout the entire club, LED screens flanking the DJ booth, a whole new lighting system on the roof, and a state of the art sound system that will have your heart bumping to every beat.  What I saw on Saturday was not just a DJ on stage doing his thing- it was a grand production!

For those who have frequented Mansion over the years know that the iconic club was long overdue for a make-over and what a make-over it was.  The club has stepped up its game and reclaimed its spot as one of the hottest clubs on South Beach- LIV and WALL beware.

From the moment I stepped inside the doors I was in awe of all the changes.  It literally was a 360 transformation.  Where the DJ previously stood in front of the club has been replaced with what is now a platform that takes the DJ center stage into the crowd, making him a not just a DJ, but a master of ceremonies taking command of the entire club.  The walls are now interlaced with LED strips that dance to the beat of the music that extend all the way to the roof- creating an entire show of lights.  As one patron stated,  "I was getting housed by all the pretty lights"- Hector Martinez.

There were lasers beaming out from all over the club, midgets covered in silver dancing on tables, trapeze dancers flying high above dressed in nothing but silver shorts and tassles, and a guy in a robot costume covered with lights walking through the crowd. Every which way you looked there was something to please your auditory and visual senses.

As for Deadmau5, he was INSANE! It was a remarkable show with no dull moments. The whole performance was packed with high-energy beats as the international superstar dropped some of his latest tracks like "Reward Is Cheese", "Tiny Dancer", and classics like the club anthem "Ghosts and Stuff".  The whole performance was spectacular.

Mansion 360 is back with a vengeance- If you missed the unveiling and haven't stopped by, I suggest you check it out this weekend.

Gadgets : Ramos Alarm Clock

Gadgets : Ramos Alarm Clock

Let’s be honest here, if we all had our way there is no way that we’d get out of bed in the morning. We’d all pretend we’re cats and sleep for the majority of the day, only getting up to eat and drink. It is very easy to hit the alarm clock and go straight back to sleep, but with Ramos you can’t actually do that — you have to physically get out of bed to turn the thing off in the morning.

Ramos isn’t like other alarm clocks with their fancy unlimited snooze functioning, instead you get a limited number of times that you can hit the button before it won’t work anymore. Once that time comes you have to get out of bed and bring your smartphone to a separate Bluetooth-enabled beacon to enter a ‘defuse code’ which will finally turn off that wretched siren you call an alarm.

The point of the beacon is that you’re supposed to put it in the place you tend to go to first in the morning. That could be the bathroom, the kitchen, or your office if you happen to be working from home. Once you’re there you might as well get started on the day right?

Unless you’re just like me, in which case you’re perfectly capable of wandering straight back to bed and falling asleep instantly.

The alarm thing isn’t all it can do, though. Ramos can also be integrated with smart home systems to make waking up a more pleasant experience. Sick of waking up to a cold house? Why not have the heating come on just before your alarm goes off? Maybe you can slowly turn the lights on, or possibly even have a cup of coffee ready to drink when you head downstairs. That all depends on you actually having a smart home system, but it is pretty damn cool that using Ramos means you won’t have to manually reset the timers if you decide to get up at a different time one day.

Like many other gadgets of this nature, Ramos is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter to make the product a reality. Pledging $99 (£63) will get you a Ramos alarm clock next May, which is quite a bit less than the estimated retail price of $130 (£83). Of course actually getting one is dependent on the campaign getting the $100,000 (£64,000) funding it requires.

Videos : Taylor Swift : Blank Space

Videos : Taylor Swift : Blank Space

Taylor Swift has been called a prodigy, a “feminist’s nightmare,” and – most annoyingly and most often – boy-crazy. People are so obsessed with Swift’s supposedly too-active dating life that there’s an entire wiki dedicated to her ex-boyfriends. Timelines of her relationships have been published by Billboard, Business Insider and Glamour magazine. Any song that Swift releases immediately sparks speculation about which famous ex is featured therein – her creative output always somehow ends up tied to a list of men.

It can’t be fun for a young, talented, wildly-successful woman to constantly have her music bonafides attached to her love life. So when a Vanity Fair reporter asked the singer-songwriter last year if she was “boy-crazy”, Swift called her out:

For a female to write about her feelings, and then be portrayed as some clingy, insane, desperate girlfriend in need of making you marry her and have kids with her, I think that’s taking something that potentially should be celebrated – a woman writing about her feelings in a confessional way – that’s taking it and turning it and twisting it into something that is frankly a little sexist.

And now, in her new Blank Space video, Swift performs the very unflattering image that the public has foisted upon her, as if to say: You want boy-crazy? I’ll give you boy-crazy!

This is the Taylor Swift we’ve been waiting for: the Taylor Swift who smiles while she offers up a hearty “fuck you”.

The video for Blank Space is a sort of dystopian feminist fairy tale: Swift is surrounded by woodland creatures and dressed in gorgeous gowns. She has picnics of champagne and sweets, all while in the company of a generically handsome, if unremarkable, man. (Blank Space, indeed!)

But things swiftly go awry in fantasy land with her Ken-doll boyfriend – he texts someone else, the bastard. Swift goes full-on Fatal Attraction: she screams and cries with a mascara-streaked face, throws a plant at him, cuts up his shirts, tries to chop down a rather large tree upon which she had carved their names, bashes his expensive car with a golf club and wields one very large knife in a crime against pastry.

“Got a long list of ex-lovers, they’ll tell you I’m insane,” Swift sings in the middle of her meltdown. Finally, when her prince is passed out in the driveway – we don’t see why – she doesn’t wake him up with a kiss but with a firm bite to the lip. He then drives off in a rush ... and another generically handsome man drives up to take his place.

Swift has made no secret that Blank Space is about the media depictions of her relationships with men. “There’s been sort of a sensational fictionalization of my personal life”, Swift said in an interview about the song.

They’ve drawn up this profile of a girl who is a serial dater, jetsetting around with all her boyfriends and she get them but she can’t keep them because she’s too emotional and she’s needy. Then she gets her heart broken because they leave and she’s jilted, so she goes to her evil lair and writes songs about it for revenge.

Swift sings in Blank Space that she’s “a nightmare dressed like a daydream”, and indeed, this video – where the men are interchangeable, the girlfriend is crazy (and crazy hot), and the joke is on anyone who takes her image too seriously – is a certain kind of feminist daydream. It’s a world where the narrow and sexist caricatures attached to women are acted out for our amusement, their full ridiculousness on display. And for those who would try to pigeonhole Swift as little more than the sum of her dating life, the real nightmare is the woman behind the character: a woman who has full creative control over her image and isn’t afraid to use it to mock your efforts to stereotype her.

Listen To : T.I. : About The Money

The first time I can remember hearing T.I., he was rapping alongside Killer Mike on Bone Crusher’s “Never Scared,” and they’ve linked up a few times over the years. And this morning, Killer Mike showed up to breathe some fire on “About The Money,” T.I.’s new single with Young Thug. This sadly is just one of those remixes that doesn’t really alter the song at all beyond the one additional verse. But it’s worth hearing anyway. It was already a good song, and now it’s a good song with one more good verse. Check it out above.
