While will.i.am initially planned for his fourth album to be released October 2012 and feature Rihanna, Redfoo and David Guetta, unauthorized leaks forced the producer to write new songs and push its release date back to April 23.
Fortunately, this time #willpower‘s tracklist delivers on will.i.am’s promises for new, but still notable collaborations, including Juicy J, Skylar Grey and Miley Cyrus. Check the full tracklist after the jump.

If you’ve been watching the Voice UK this year you’ll know will.i.am is just as loved for his witty banter and flamboyant clothes as he is for his music. In fact these days there’s not much the wacky character can’t pull off in style, quickly becoming one of the most loved celebs on the planet.
Confirmation of his much loved personality, his album is filled with celebrities ranging from Miley Cyrus to Lil Wayne, all of whom have been queuing up to work with the music mogul. As the singer himself would say, ‘that’s dope’.
Openers ‘Good Morning’ and ‘Hello’ allows an intimate moment with will.i.am before the anticipated mad beats and funky sensations fill the air. It’s sometimes overlooked that Will isn’t just a singer but also an accredited songwriter, where the opening of the album is a gentle reminder of this fact.
After the warm up it’s time to fit in something fresh and funky, with driving beats and ghetto influences the hit single ‘Scream & Shout’ featuring Britney Spears is already a well known hit, having already sold over 2.5 million singles worldwide.
In fact we challenge you to keep yourself from booty shaking throughout the entirety of the album, with ‘#thatPOWER’ featuring Justin Bieber the latest single offering flair and confidence from the very beginning. The only thing absent is lyrical intelligence; however this is all forgiven when you hear the energetically pulsing vibrations.
Just when you thought will.i.am was losing his soft touch, ‘Far Away From Home’ featuring the gorgeous Nicole Scherzinger allows for breakdown choruses and love felt emotions. However, in classic fashion there are compelling beats and harmonies that give the album some much needed tender loving care.
‘Reach For The Stars’ is an electronica lover’s dream, with DJ fadeouts to rival Deadmau5 and plenty of up-tempo pulses with will.i.am rapping to the beat. A slick track that showcases tidy technicalities and sunny sounding orchestral details from the Los Angeles hailing singer.
If you’re a lover of superficial and auto tuned pop and having a good old wiggle on the dancefloor then you can’t go wrong with #Willpower. The star-studded affair is overloaded with feel-good hits that’ll keep you smiling throughout the summer; but best avoided if you’re looking for something more meaningful.
