The answer: $1 billion dollars, according to the International Business Times, with a caveat or three. These are rough figures, and that worth is cumulative, not that they make that much all at once — but it’s grounded in a lot of evidence that the couple makes a lot of money.
She will reportedly earn $116 million from the “Mrs. Carter” world tour (which just started), and has worked with L’Oreal, Tommy Hilfiger, H&M, and, as of now, Pepsi. He’s had deals with Duracell and Budweiser, co-owns The 40/40 Club and the Brooklyn Nets and is expanding his nascent sports management business. Forbes named them two of the highest paid musicians of 2012 (at nos. 18 and 20, with $40 and $38 million earned, respectively). And that’s mostly ignoring the value of their music careers.
Does that make them the wealthiest of all? Actually no: Paul McCartney, at least, has long topped the London Sunday Times “Rich List” of very-monied U.K. and Irish musicians and will do so again this year, with a fortune estimated at more than $1 billion.
Will Jay and Bey ever match that? McCartney’s career has spanned more than 50 years — give it time.
