News : J-Lo Heats Up London's Sound Of Change Concert
Another A-list guest on Saturday's Sound Of Change's immense line up at Twickenham Stadium was the one and only girl from the block Jennifer Lopez. MTV had already witnessed Florence + The Machine, Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora, HAIM and an impromptu performance from Jessie J at this gig but the fun had only just begun…
Feelling: Things were certainly cranked up a notch as J-Lo stepped on stage with the energy levels on stage transmitted to the crowds below and all around the stadium.
The Look: Not letting the stuffy Britain's Got Talent viewers get her down, J-Lo carried off thigh-high, studded leather boots and a skimpy, spangly black outfit (below) while her dancers added a level of theatricality equipped with handheld smoke guns and strobe lights.
Tunes: Opening with her current single Live It Up - bowled into a medley section featuring a verse and chorus each of Get Right, Love Don't Cost A Thing, Jenny From The Block and Hold It, Don't Drop It. Her Lambada-sampling Pitbull-collabbing hit On The Floor made sure anyone not on their feet yet was well and truly up and dancing by the end of her set.
Banter/Special Guests: As Jen toned things down a bit with the familiar riff of The Beatles' Come Together ringing out, the star mused: "Do you believe that one person in the world can make a change? I believe that. But when we come together we can all do amazing things."
Little did the crowd realise that while it was a poignant message for today's proceedings it was also an introduction for RnB legend Mary J Blige to walk on stage! The duo diva'd off with each other for Come Together and the crowd couldn't get enough.
