Listen To Avicii ft. Aloe Blacc : Wake Me Up
I say it’s just about time we got some new Avicii, and boom here it is. Now, be warned, this doesn’t sound like any of Avicii’s other stuff and it’s amazing. Featuring vocals by Aloe Blacc this track is called Wake Me Up. This is the radio edit. Sort of a Western Motif going on here. It was just released today, so let the people speak.
The swedish DJ was nominated for a Grammy for Best Dance Recording with ‘Levels’ for the 2013 Grammy Awards. He was nominated alongside Calvin Harris & Ne-Yo, Skrillex, Swedish House Mafia & John Martin, and Al Walser. The award show took place on 10 February 2013 and the award was won by Skrillex. Damn you Skrillex, winning all the awards and shit.
On 15 April 2013, it was officially announced by the EBU and SVT that Avicii, along with ex-ABBA members Björn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson, had composed the anthem for the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. The song was performed for the first time in the Final on the 18 May. Tim’s been a busy busy boy, and this track, Wake Me Up is TOP notch in my opinion….. Carried by Aloe Blacc’s vocals.
He is currently touring throughout Europe, with a shit ton of appearances in Greece and Spain. Blacc performed on the main stages at major festivals such as Glastonbury and The Falls Festival in Australia with his primary touring band The Grand Scheme. “I Need a Dollar” was the opening title track on the HBO series, How to Make It in America. In 2012 he appeared at the renowned North Sea Jazz festival in Rotterdam, Lollapalooza in Chicago, and Osheaga in Montreal. Now this…a new song with Avicii…Bravo fellas! Get Your Ears WEt!
