News : Lil Wayne And Drake Fighting App

News : Lil Wayne And Drake Fighting App

Rap superstars Drake and Lil Wayne will soon embark on a co-headlining tour across the country. The tour is sponsored by videogame company Capcom, which is why they've just launched a tour-specific app called Drake vs Lil Wayne that seems partially modeled after the Street Fighter franchise, as Billboard reports. DvsLW, which was made in collaboration with Capcom, allows fans to pick between Drake and Lil Wayne. During the "rap battle" portion of the night, the crowd will be able to "help their favorite rapper 'power up' and impact their performances in real time," according to Billboard. (Above, you can see a screenshot of what happens when you power up Drake. Looking good, Aubrey!) What this "powering up" actually means will be revealed when the tour kicks off tomorrow in Darien Center, New York. The app is currently available for download in the Apple and Google app stores. Also, if you buy a VIP package for the tour, you get Drake vs. Lil Wayne trading cards, beach towels, tote bags, and snapback hats, as Complex points out. Below, watch a Street Fighter-themed teaser for the tour, which pits Lil Wayne ("the sage") against Drake ("the protégé") in an "epic tournament":
