News : 36 People Hospitalized After Boston Avicii Show

Thirty-six people were hospitalized last night following an Avicii concert at Boston's TD Garden, and over 50 people were treated or evaluated at the event itself, The Boston Globe reports. No fatalities have been reported, and officials say that the concertgoers' symptoms were minor.

The patients were mostly minors, and most suffered from drug-and-alcohol related problems, according to The Globe. Despite the hospitalizations, Avicii performed his full set, The Globe reports. In May, the Toronto Star reported 29 hospitalizations after an Avicii concert, also mostly for drug and alcohol related issues.

Last night, Boston EMS Deputy Superintendent Michael Bosse stated that "there may have been some illicit drug involved, but none have been identified.” Police plan to interview the hospitalized people.
