Who Is  Amelia Lily?
Amelia Lily (born Amelia Lily Oliver; 16 October 1994) is an English pop singer who finished third in the eighth series of The X Factor in 2011, mentored by Kelly Rowland. Her debut single, "You Bring Me Joy", was released on 9 September 2012 and reached number two on the UK Singles Chart and attained top ten positions in over three countries. Her debut album will be released in 2013. Her second single, released in 2013, debuted at number eleven in the UK.

The daughter of Aranka Bradley and Barry Oliver, Amelia Lily was born on 16 October 1994 in Nunthorpe, Middlesbrough. She studied at the independent, fee-paying Teesside High School, in nearby Eaglescliffe. Lily began her musical career whilst still a high-school student by posting videos of herself singing on YouTube. Her cover of Adele's Someone Like You garnered over 1 million views. From the age of 13, she began writing songs with her guitar and aspired to be a country singer after being brought up listening to it. She was a figure skater for 6 years during her childhood. She was also working on the tills at a garden centre in Nunthorpe, for £4.90 an hour, which she "absolutely hated". Lily declared in an interview for The Sun that she suffered bullying for five years at a previous school, saying she "had no friends", and "used to come home crying all the time". The newspaper reported that bullies picked on her because of her different style and, even after Lily was asked to sing at an assembly, they said she "would never make it". On a SugarScape interview in August 2012, she revealed that she wanted to be a nun when she was younger.

Known as the "Comeback Kid", Lily auditioned for The X Factor in Liverpool in front of judges Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, and Kelly Rowland in early 2011. She sang Erma Franklin's "Piece of My Heart" and won praise from all four judges. Gary Barlow said "...oh my goodness, 16 years old that was incredible. That absolutely lifted the top of this arena, well done. Amazing vocals. Amelia I am blown away..."

She progressed through boot camp to the judges' houses, where she sang E.T. by Katy Perry in front of Rowland and guest judge Jennifer Hudson. Lily made it to the live shows in Rowland's girls category, along with Misha B, Janet Devlin and Sophie Habibis. She performed "Billie Jean" but was the first of the girls category to be eliminated from the live shows on 9 October by decision of her mentor. There was no public vote in the inaugural live show. After her surprise elimination, Lily continued to perform at clubs. Prior to the sixth live show of The X Factor, it was announced that Frankie Cocozza had been disqualified and that the public would be given the chance to reinstate a contestant eliminated during the first live show. Lily was voted back into the competition after winning 48.8% of the vote, beating 2 Shoes, James Michael and Jonjo Kerr. Her comeback performance of 'The Show Must Go On' received critical acclaim from all four judges.

In week 7 she sang "Think" by Aretha Franklin, but even with positive comments from the judges, she landed in the final showdown with Craig Colton, and was only saved by winning the popular vote when the judges' votes were deadlocked. The following week, Lily again received critical acclaim from the judges for her two performances: 'China In Your Hand' and 'Since U Been Gone', with Barlow commenting that it was "really nice to hear the song sung in tune." It was later revealed that she topped the votes with the last 2 performances. On 4 December, she won a place in the final along with Little Mix and Marcus Collins. Throughout the series, she topped the public vote twice and was in the bottom two only once before reaching the finals, where she finished in third place with 26.5 per cent of the public vote. News : Baby Bruno Mars Is Even Cuter Than You Imagined

News : Baby Bruno Mars Is Even Cuter Than You Imagined

A very small number of performers have the true ‘it’ factor. Their confidence and ease on stage leaves the audience feeling like they’re watching someone who has been performing all their lives. Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce and Bruno Mars are artists that I would lump together in this small group. Today, the internet has given us a gift in the form of a 23 year-old interview with a then four year-old Bruno Mars, showing that yes, to look like you’ve been performing all your life, you usually have been.

Growing up in Hawaii, Mars was recruited at a young age by his uncle, an Elvis impersonator, to begin performing with the family band The Love Notes. Already going by his nickname and later stage name, Bruno (real name Peter Hernandez) caught the eye of comedian Pauly Shore. To reiterate, Pauly Shore. I know. The internet is weird.

In this clip, Shore gets some tips on dancing like Elvis and Michael Jackson from the talented Mars, who apparently has been rocking a pompadour since childhood. Sorry Bieber, your swag crown has been snatched by four year-old Bruno Mars.

Check out baby Bruno Mars and good luck finding some cat video today that is cuter than this.

Who Is Swedish House Mafia?
Swedish House Mafia is a Swedish electronic dance music trio consisting of three house disc jockeys and producers, Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso. The group officially formed in late 2008. The supergroup placed at number ten on the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ Poll 2011[ and have been called "the faces of mainstream progressive house music." On June 24, 2012, the group announced via their website that their current tour would be their last together. Rumor says they will play one last show at TomorrowWorld, more information available at www.TomorrowWorld.info

The first production that was released by Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso was "Get Dumb". It was produced with Laidback Luke and released in 2007. In 2009, they released "Leave The World Behind" with Laidback Luke and Deborah Cox and in 2010, Swedish House Mafia signed a record deal with UMG's Polydor Records (formerly Polygram) after a fallout from previous record label EMI, due to differing ideas. They released their first official single, "One (Your Name)", under the name Swedish House Mafia on Beatport on May 26, 2010, where it achieved international success, charting at number 7 in the UK Singles Chart. The next single, "Miami 2 Ibiza", featuring Tinie Tempah, charted at number 4 in the UK Chart in September 2010. Both tracks were taken from the album Until One; a collection of productions and remixes from both Swedish House Mafia as a group and as individuals. It has achieved a BPI Gold Sales award in the United Kingdom. In May 2011, Swedish House Mafia released a new single, "Save The World," featuring John Martin on vocals, which charted at number 10 in the UK Chart. Later that year on December 16, they released the track "Antidote" with Knife Party. On March 12, 2012, Swedish House Mafia released their next single titled "Greyhound" and their final track "Don't You Worry Child" was released on September 14, 2012. That same month on September 17, the group announced the release of a second compilation album titled Until Now, forming the official soundtrack to One Last Tour. The album was released on October 22, 2012, exactly two years after the release of their first compilation album Until One.

On June 24, 2012, it was announced via the group's website that the final leg of their 2012 tour would be their last: "Today we want to share with you, that the tour we are about to go on will be our last. We want to thank every single one of you that came with us on this journey. We came, we raved, we loved." They stated three show dates, with the last leg of their tour set to be announced in August. It is unknown whether the group members will collaborate with each other again. In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine in regards to the group's breakup, Angello said that "we just decided that we reached a point where we didn't know what the next move would be," and that "we've had beyond our dreams and we've come very, very far"; Angello also stated that he is focusing on developing his own label, Size Records, while on hiatus.

On September 24, 2012, Swedish House Mafia announced the dates for their farewell tour appropriately named "One Last Tour." The tour will kick off in November 2012 and conclude in March 2013. Due to extremely high demand, additional shows have been added and the group is also set to make a final appearance at the Ultra Music Festival with an opening and closing set on March 15 and March 24, 2013, respectively.

On July 7, 2012, Swedish House Mafia played for a sold-out crowd in Phoenix Park, Dublin. The concert descended into chaos, with a "significant number" of random unprovoked attacks at the show, leading to comments from the Irish justice minister concerning the "very unusual" nature of the events. A total of nine people were stabbed. The possibility of multiple attackers was not immediately ruled out. All those attacked were in their teens or twenties. One man was stabbed five times as his girlfriend looked on in horror, receiving wounds to the liver and requiring stitches to his elbow and head. Another man was left in a critical condition after being stabbed four times in the back and kidneys. Two young men, Lee Scanlon (20) and Shane Brophy (21), also died during the concert; the circumstances of their deaths were not immediately clear. Brophy, from County Laois, was rushed to hospital but died there.

Swedish House Mafia released a statement upon learning of the events:

“We played a festival in Ireland at the weekend and reports of incidents are coming to us. We didn’t see anything but have asked for all the info and are respectful of the promoter’s need to wait and give us all the clear facts. When we know more we will liaise with the festival promoter directly on what we can do to help but for now we have to respect their request to us that we remain quiet and respectful of their event safety processes. The festival itself was amazing and we had no idea this had happened and neither did the other numerous artists who played. Once we know all the facts we will deal with it in the best way we can. Thank you. Swedish House Mafia.”

Taoiseach Enda Kenny was appalled when he learned of the events: "Absolutely disgraceful, appalling and simply scandalous". Kenny also wondered "whether it's in relation to the sort of music that is played there or not", observing that "800,000 people turned up in Galway for the Volvo finale without any incident and this particular concert in Phoenix Park was in-between two others where there were no incidents at all." Another minister, Brian Hayes, said the incidents were "unacceptable very serious, it is wrong and we need to find out what went wrong". Jim Carroll in The Irish Times wrote, "The off-stage events which have dominated the news agenda since the Swedish House Mafia show will forevermore be associated with stabbings and suspected drug deaths rather than the music." Also writing in The Irish Times, Brian Boyd stated that 'the comment that “the genre of music has a lot to do with it” bears further examination. Swedish House Mafia are broadly speaking a “dance culture” act and always had a drug component. Today’s generation – brought up with binge alcohol tendencies – is popping and dropping indiscriminately. And when you mix a rave drug with large quantities of alcohol, it really is time (for the rest of us) to batten down the hatches.'

On December 11, 2012, Swedish House Mafia announced that they will throw a Black Tie Rave on February 28, 2013 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief, with 100 percent of the net proceeds going to Hurricane Sandy relief efforts.

Axwell Axwell placed at #12 on the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ Poll in 2011. In late 2004, Axwell released a global hit, "Feel the Vibe", which was re-released under Ministry of Sound in 2005 with added vocals from Tara McDonald as "Feel the Vibe ('Til the Morning Comes)". In the spring of 2006, Axwell and Steve Angello, under the Supermode alias, remixed Bronski Beat's "Smalltown Boy", producing "Tell Me Why". In August 2007, Axwell teamed up with performer Max'C to create the track "I Found U", which peaked #6 in the UK Singles Chart. Axwell has been producing remixes for other artists – mixes have included Usher's "Burn" (BMG), Room 5's "Make Luv" (Positiva), Clipse & Faith Evans "Ma, I Don’t Love Her" (RCA), Stonebridge's "Put 'Em High" (Hed Kandi), N*E*R*D's single "Maybe" (Virgin), and more recently Hard-Fi's "Hard to Beat", Deep Dish's "Dreams", Pharrell's "Angel", Nelly Furtado's "Promiscuous" and Madonna's "Jump". In 2012, Axwell released the single "In My Mind" on Beatport.

Steve Angello Steve Angello placed at #23 on the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ Poll 2011. Steve Angello's claim to fame came when he released his remix of Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams" in late 2004. In 2007 his remix of Robin S "Show Me Love" was released on Data Records. Angello produces under several different aliases. On his own, he has called himself Who's Who and released tracks called "Not So Dirty" and "Sexy Fuck". He often works closely with his childhood friend Sebastian Ingrosso on many projects. Aside from DJing together, they have also produced under the names Buy Now, Fireflies, General Moders, Mode Hookers, Outfunk, and The Sinners. Most recently, they released "Bodycrash" under their Buy Now alias, sampling the 1978 disco hit "Let's All Chant" by the Michael Zager Band. The track was first played by Pete Tong on his Radio 1 show in late 2007. Eventually, the Dirty South remix of the tune leaked out onto the Internet in January 2008. The track has since received a much larger release via Positiva Records, also including the Laidback Luke remix. He has produced with Eric Prydz under the name A&P Project. Also, he has created a track with his friend Axwell under the name Supermongo, later renamed Supermode. They made a cover of an old Bronski Beat track, calling it "Tell Me Why". This was released via Ministry of Sound's Data Records imprint in summer 2006. Steve Angello's productions can mainly be classified as house ("Summer Noize"), progressive ("Yeah"), Tech house ("Partouze") and electro house ("Raining Again"). He also owns his own record label, Size Records. Angello's brother, Antoine Josefsson, is a DJ and a producer who goes by the name AN21. Together they have released the tracks "Valodja", "Flonko" & "Swing N Swoosh".

Sebastian Ingrosso Sebastian Ingrosso is ranked at #26 in 2011 on DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ list, and won the award for the highest new entry into the chart in 2009, a record beaten only by Deadmau5 into the 2008 Top 100 DJ list at #11. In 2009, Sebastian Ingrosso saw the releases of Laktos, Kidsos, Echo Vibes and Meich (with Dirty South) on his own imprint Refune, "How Soon Is Now" (featuring Julie McKnight with David Guetta and Dirty South) and the vocal stormer House anthem "Leave the World Behind" together with Axwell, Steve Angello and Laidback Luke, with Deborah Cox on vocals. He has co-written and coproduced the track "Cupid Boy" on the Kylie Minogue album Aphrodite along with Magnus Lidehäll, Nick Clow and Luciana Caporaso. Ingrosso has also produced tracks for Lazee ("Rock Away") and Kid Sister ("Right Hand Hi" with Steve Angello). Remixed artists during the years includes Justin Timberlake, Moby, Röyksopp, Hard-Fi and Deep Dish. In 2011, Sebastian Ingrosso released his late summer anthem "Calling" featuring Alesso, which reached #2 on Beatport's Top 10. His latest single, "Reload" featuring Tommy Trash, was released in 2012. Who is RUN-DMC?
Run–D.M.C. was an American hip hop group from Hollis, Queens, New York, founded in 1981 by Joseph "Run" Simmons, Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels, and Jason "Jam Master Jay" Mizell. The group is widely acknowledged as one of the most influential acts in the history of hip hop culture. Run–D.M.C. was one of the most well-known hip hop acts in the 1980s who, along with LL Cool J, The Beastie Boys, and Public Enemy signified the advent of the new school of hip hop music. They were the first group in the genre to have a gold album (Run–D.M.C., 1984) and be nominated for a Grammy Award. They were the first to earn a platinum record (King of Rock, 1985), the first to earn a multiplatinum certification (Raising Hell, 1986) the first to have videos on MTV, the first to appear on American Bandstand and the cover of Rolling Stone.

The group was among the first to highlight the importance of the MC and DJ relationship. In 2004, Rolling Stone ranked them number 48 in their list of the greatest musical artists of all time. In 2007, Run–D.M.C. was named "The Greatest Hip Hop Group of All Time" by MTV.com and "Greatest Hip Hop Artist of All Time" by VH1. On April 4, 2009, rapper Eminem inducted them into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In doing so, Run–D.M.C. became only the second hip hop group in history to be inducted, after Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five. The initials "D.M.C." are widely accepted to refer to Darryl McDaniels' initials. In the 1985 album King of Rock's title track, McDaniels says the initials have two meanings: "Devastating Mic Control" and "D for never dirty, MC for mostly clean." He also makes a third reference "The 'D's for Doing it all of the time, the 'M's for the rhymes that all are Mine, The 'C's for Cool - cool as can be."

The three members of Run–D.M.C. grew up in Hollis, Queens. As a teenager, Simmons was recruited into hip-hop by his older brother, Russell, who was then an up and coming hip-hop promoter. Simmons appeared onstage as a DJ for rapper Kurtis Blow, who was managed by Russell. Known as "DJ Run, Son of Kurtis Blow", Simmons soon began performing with Kurtis Blow. Previously, McDaniels had been more focused on athletics than music, but soon began to DJ after purchasing a set of turntables. Simmons convinced McDaniels to start rapping, and though McDaniels would not perform in public, he soon began writing rhymes and was known as "Easy D."

Simmons and McDaniels started hanging around Two-Fifths Park in Hollis in late 1980, hoping to rap for the local DJs that performed and competed there, and the most popular one known to frequent the park was Mizell, then known as "Jazzy Jase". Mizell was known for his flashy wardrobe and b-boy attitude, which led to minor legal troubles as a teen. Thereafter, he decided to pursue music full-time and began entertaining in the park soon after. Eventually, Simmons and McDaniels rapped in front of Mizell at the park, and the three became friends. Following Russell's success managing Kurtis Blow, he helped Run record his first single, a song called "Street Kid." The song went unnoticed, but despite the single's failure, Run's enthusiasm for hip-hop was growing. Simmons soon wanted to record again—-this time with McDaniels, but Russell refused, citing a dislike for D's rhyming style. After they completed high school and started college in 1982, Simmons and McDaniels finally convinced Russell to let them record as a duo, and they recruited Mizell (who now called himself Jam-Master Jay) to be their official DJ. A year later, in 1983, Russell agreed to help them record a new single and land a record deal, but only after he changed McDaniels' stage name to 'DMC' and marketed the group as "Run–D.M.C.", a name which, incidentally, the group hated at first. DMC said later, “We wanted to be the Dynamic Two, the Treacherous Two — when we heard that shit, we was like, ‘We’re gonna be ruined!’ ”

After signing with Profile Records, Run–D.M.C. released their first single "It's Like That/Sucker MCs", in late 1983. The single was well received, peaking at No. 15 on the R&B charts. The trio performed the single on the New York Hot Tracks video show in 1983. Emboldened by their success, Run–D.M.C. released their eponymous debut Run–D.M.C. in 1984. Hit singles such as "Jam-Master Jay" and "Hard Times" proved that the group were more than a one-hit wonder, and the landmark single "Rock Box" was a groundbreaking fusion of raw hip-hop and hard rock that would become a cornerstone of the group's sound and paved the way for the rap rock movement of the late 1990s.

Run–D.M.C.'s swift ascension to the forefront of rap with a new sound and style meant that old school hip hop artists were becoming outdated. Along with pushing rap into a new direction musically, Run–D.M.C. changed the entire aesthetic of hip hop music and culture. Old school rappers like Afrika Bambaataa and Melle Mel of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five tended to dress in the flashy attire that was commonly attributed to rock and disco acts of the era: tight leather, chest-baring shirts, gloves and hats with rhinestones and spikes, leather boots, etc. Run–D.M.C. discarded the more glam aspects of early hip hop's look (which ironically, was later readopted in 1990 by more "pop" rappers MC Hammer and Vanilla Ice) and incorporated a more 'street' sense of style such as fedoras, leather jackets, and unlaced Adidas shoes. The group's look had been heavily influenced by Mizell's own personal style. When Russell Simmons saw Jay's flashy, yet street b-boy style, he insisted the entire group follow suit. Run said later:

“There were guys that wore hats like those and sneakers with no shoestrings. It was a very street thing to wear, extremely rough. They couldn’t wear shoelaces in jail and we took it as a fashion statement. The reason they couldn’t have shoelaces in jail was because they might hang themselves. That’s why DMC says ‘My Adidas only bring good news and they are not used as felon shoes.”

That embrace of the look and style of the street would define the next 25 years of hip hop fashion.

After the success of their first album, Run–D.M.C. looked to branch out on their follow-up. The release of King of Rock in 1985 saw the group furthering their rap-rock fusion on songs like "Can You Rock It Like This" and the title track; while "Roots, Rap, Reggae" was one of the first rap/dancehall hybrids. The music video for the single "Rock Box" was the first ever rap video to air on MTV and received heavy rotation from the channel. The song was the group's most popular hit at that point and the album was certified platinum. Run–D.M.C. performed at the legendary Live Aid benefit shortly after Rock Box was released.

In late 1985, Run–D.M.C. were featured in the hip hop film Krush Groove, a fictionalized retelling of Russell Simmons' rise as a hip-hop entrepreneur and his struggles to get his own label, Def Jam Recordings, off the ground. The film featured a young Blair Underwood as Russell, along with appearances by old-school legend Kurtis Blow, The Fat Boys, teen pop act New Edition, LL Cool J, Prince protegee Sheila E., and hip hop's first successful white rap group the Beastie Boys, who were signed to Simmons' Def Jam label. The movie was a hit and further proof of hip hop's continued mainstream visibility.

Returning to the studio in 1986, the group teamed with producer Rick Rubin for their third album. Rubin had just produced LL Cool J's debut album Radio. They later released their third album titled Raising Hell which became the group's most successful album and one of the best-selling rap albums of all-time. The album was certified double-platinum and peaked at number three on the charts.

They were almost done with the album, but Rubin thought that it needed an element that would appeal to rock fans as well. This spurred the lead single "Walk This Way", a cover of the classic hard rock song by Aerosmith. The original intention was to just rap over a sample of the song, but Rubin and Jay insisted on doing a complete cover version. Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Joe Perry were called to join Run–D.M.C. in the studio to add vocals and lead guitar, respectively. The song and video became one of the biggest hits of the '80s, reaching number four on the Hot 100, and cemented Run–D.M.C.'s crossover status. It also resurrected Aerosmith's career. The single "My Adidas" led to the group signing a $1.6 million endorsement deal with athletic apparel brand Adidas. Adidas formed a long-term relationship with Run–D.M.C. and hip hop.

The success of Raising Hell is often credited with kick-starting hip hop's golden age, when rap music's visibility, variety, and commercial viability exploded onto the national stage and became a global phenomenon. Their success paved the way for acts like LL Cool J and the Beastie Boys. The group toured in the wake of the album's success, but the Raising Hell Tour was marred by violence, particularly fights between rival street gangs in places like Los Angeles. Though Run–D.M.C.'s lyrics had been angry, menacing, violent, hostile, confrontational and aggressive, they typically denounced crime and ignorance, but the media began to blame the group for the incidents. In the wake of the violence, Run–D.M.C. would call for a day of peace between the gangs in L.A.

A detailed description of the lead-up to Run-DMC's call for a day of peace comprises the introduction to "Tougher Than Leather: The Rise of Run-DMC" by Bill Adler (Consafos Press 2002). Referring to the book's original 1987 publication in a Rolling Stone review pegged to the book's republication in 2002, the critic Jon Caramanica wrote, "It might well be the most comprehensive biography ever written about a pop act while it was still in its prime."

After spending 1987 on tour supporting Raising Hell, Run–D.M.C. released Tougher Than Leather in 1988. The album saw the group discarding much of its rap rock leanings for a grittier, more sample-heavy sound. Despite not selling as well as its predecessor, the album boasted several strong singles, including "Run's House", "Beats to the Rhyme", and "Mary Mary." Though at the time considered a disappointing follow-up to the blockbuster Raising Hell, the album has grown in stature. In the 2000 liner notes for the album's re-release, Chuck D. of Public Enemy would call the album "...a spectacular performance against all odds and expectations."

Later in 1988, the group made their second film appearance in Tougher Than Leather, a would-be crime caper that was directed by Rick Rubin and featured special guest performances by the Beastie Boys and Slick Rick. The film bombed at the box office, but strengthened the indirect relationship between Run–D.M.C. and the Def Jam label.

Though the group itself was never signed to the label, they were managed by Russell Simmons, produced by Rick Rubin (who was co-founder of Def Jam, along with Simmons), and often shared concert tour spotlight with acts on the label's roster.

Amidst the changing times and sliding sales, Run–D.M.C. released Back from Hell in 1990. The album was the worst-reviewed of their career, as the group tried to re-create itself musically with ill-advised forays into New Jack Swing (a then-popular style of production that sonically merged hip hop and contemporary R&B) and sometimes-preachy lyrical content. The two singles released, the anti-drug, anti-crime song "Pause" and street narrative "The Ave", had little success, and the group began to look outdated. Reeling from their first taste of failure, personal problems began to surface for the trio. McDaniels, who had been a heavy drinker in recent years, was losing control to alcoholism. Jay was involved in a life-threatening car accident and survived two gunshot wounds after an incident in 1990. In 1991, Simmons was charged with raping a college student in Ohio, though the charges were later dropped. He was also battling depression and would frequently mix poison with Coca Cola—his signa ture drink—later coined "The Jimmy Simmons".

With so much personal chaos and professional uncertainty, the members turned to faith to try to steady their lives. Both Simmons and McDaniels joined the church, with Run becoming especially devoted following his legal troubles and the toll it took on his finances. Needing to start from scratch, they just spent time enjoying themselves with one another.

After a three-year hiatus that seemingly saw rap music move on without them, the rejuvenated Run–D.M.C. returned in 1993 with Down With the King. Building on the gritty sound of Tougher Than Leather, and adding some subtle religious references, the album featured guest appearances and production by several hip hop notables (including Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Q-Tip of A Tribe Called Quest, and Jermaine Dupri). Buoyed by the title track and first single, the album entered the charts at No. 1 and number 7 on the pop charts, Run D.M.C. had returned to the airwaves.

Even though the album went platinum, the song proved to be their last hit. Jam-Master Jay also found success on his own; he had founded his own label JMJ Records, and discovered and produced the group Onyx, which had tremendous success in 1993 following the release of their hit single, "Slam." Later that same year, Run became an ordained minister, and in 1995 the iconic group appeared in The Show, a Def Jam-produced documentary that featured several of hip hop's biggest acts discussing the lifestyle and sacrifices of the industry.

Over the next few years, the group did very little recording. Mizell produced and mentored up and coming artists, including Onyx and 50 Cent, who he eventually signed to the JMJ label. Simmons got divorced, re-married, and began to focus on his spiritual and philanthropic endeavors by becoming a reverend. He also wrote a book along side his brother Russell. McDaniels, also married, made an appearance on the Notorious B.I.G.'s 1997 double-album Life After Death, and focused on raising his family.

Though the group continued to tour around the world, over a decade of living a rap superstar lifestyle was beginning to take a toll on McDaniels. He was beginning to tire of Run–D.M.C., and there was increased friction between him and Simmons, who was eager to return to recording. (Simmons had at this time adopted the moniker "Rev. Run" in light of his religious conversion.) While on tour in Europe in 1997, McDaniels ongoing battle with substance abuse led to a bout of severe depression, which spurred an addiction to prescription drugs. McDaniels' depression continued for years, so much so that he contemplated suicide.]

In 1997, producer and remixer Jason Nevins remixed "It's Tricky" and "It's Like That". Nevins' remix of "It's Like That" hit number 1 in the United Kingdom, Germany, and many other European countries. A video was made for "It's Like That", although no new footage of Run–D.M.C. appeared in it. In 1999, Run–D.M.C. recorded the theme song for WWE wrestling stable D-Generation X entitled "The Kings". They also made an appearance in a rare version of the music video "Bodyrock" by Moby. Their version of "The Kings" was included on the album, WWF Aggression (2000).

Soon after, the group finally returned to the studio, but in an increasingly tense environment, as Simmons and McDaniels' differences had begun to show. In the wake of the exploding popularity of rap rock artists like KoRn, Limp Bizkit, and Kid Rock, Simmons wanted to return to the aggressive, hard rock-tinged sound that made the group famous. McDaniels — who had become a fan of thoughtful singer-songwriters like John Lennon, Harry Chapin, and Sarah McLachlan — wanted to go in a more introspective direction. Appearing on VH1's popular documentary series Behind The Music in early 2000, McDaniels confirmed that he was creatively frustrated and highlighted some songs that he was recording on his own. The continued friction led to McDaniels sitting out most of the group's recording sessions in protest.

Simmons, in defiance, recorded material anyway, inviting several guest stars such as Kid Rock, Jermaine Dupri, Stephan Jenkins of Third Eye Blind, Method Man, and fellow Queens MCs Nas and Prodigy of Mobb Deep to contribute to the project. The resultant album, Crown Royal, was delayed due to the personal problems, and when it was finally released in 2001, it featured only three appearances by DMC. Despite no major singles, the album initially sold well. However, many critics blasted the lack of DMC's involvement, and fans questioned whether this was a 'true' Run–D.M.C. album, only being released as one for contractual purposes. Some positive reviews were published: Entertainment Weekly noted that "on this hip-hop roast, new schoolers Nas and Fat Joe pay their respects with sparkling grooves....Run's rhymes are still limber."

After Crown Royal, the group embarked on a worldwide tour with their "Walk This Way" compatriots, Aerosmith. The tour was a rousing success, celebrating the collaboration between the two acts and acknowledging the innumerable amount of rap and rock acts that had been influenced by their seminal hit 15 years prior. Even though he had little to do with the album, McDaniels was relishing the stage; he had been suffering from an inoperable vocal disorder that had rendered his once-booming voice a strained mumble. Performing allowed McDaniels to come out of his depression and he appeared revitalized on the tour. There was even talk of Run–D.M.C. finally signing with the Def Jam label, which by then was no longer held by its original founders.

Simmons, however, had been growing increasingly tired of hip-hop. His family was growing, and he was assisting with his brother Russell's Phat Farm clothing imprint, making Run–D.M.C. less of a priority. Aerosmith was beginning to discuss extending the successful tour, but while on the bus headed to another performance, Simmons announced that he was leaving and was not interested in returning. To the others' shock, Run was reported as having said, "Yo, tomorrow, we're gonna tell Aerosmith we ain't gonna do the tour. We're gonna go home. Y'all have to figure out what y'all are gonna do. Because I don't want to perform no more." Despite the protests of McDaniels, Mizell, and Tyler, Simmons was adamant. Their touring career at the time seemed over, and it was uncertain whether the trio would ever record again.

On October 30, 2002, Jam-Master Jay was shot and killed at his recording studio in Queens. Outside the studio where the murder occurred, fans and friends gathered and left Adidas sneakers, albums, and flowers for the legendary DJ. Mourners respected him as a family man who stayed out of trouble. The homicide has yet to be solved, echoing the unsolved murders of fellow hip hop titans The Notorious B.I.G. and 2Pac. In the aftermath, Run and DMC announced that the group was officially disbanding, and they retired the Run–D.M.C. moniker.

In 2004, Run–D.M.C. were one of the first acts honored on the first annual VH1 Hip Hop Honors, alongside legends like 2Pac and the Sugarhill Gang. The Beastie Boys paid tribute. Simmons did not attend the show; he was recording his first solo album, Distortion. It was released in 2005 to strong reviews and moderate sales. McDaniels also released a solo album, 'Checks Thugs and Rock N Roll', which was slightly less successful. He had recently discovered that he was adopted, which lead him to be the center of the VH1 program My Adoption Journey, a documentary chronicling his re-connection with his biological family. McDaniels was also featured in the 2008 video game, Guitar Hero: Aerosmith, making appearances in the songs "Walk this Way" and "King of Rock". He frequently contributed to VH1 programs such as the I Love The... series, and he released the song "Rock Show" featuring singer Stephan Jenkins. Simmons also turned to television, starring in Run's House, a reality show that followed his life as a father and husband. The show has become one of the most popular on MTV, and it made reality TV stars out of his daughters Vanessa and Angela.

In June 2007, McDaniels appeared with Aerosmith performing "Walk This Way" for their encore at the Hard Rock Calling festival in London, England. Simmons joined Kid Rock's 2008 Rock N Roll Revival Tour, performing "It's Like That", "It's Tricky", "You Be Illin'", "Run's House", "Here We Go", "King of Rock" and "Walk This Way" with Kid Rock. They also covered "For What It's Worth" at the end of the show. In 2007, Mizell's wife, Terry, Simmons, and McDaniels also launched the J.A.M. Awards in Jay's memory. Jay's vision for social Justice, Arts and Music was promoted by many recording artists, including Snoop Dogg, LL Cool J, Raekwon, Jim Jones, M.O.P., Papoose, Everlast, DJ Muggs, Kid Capri, De La Soul, Mobb Deep, EPMD, Dead Prez, Biz Markie and Marley Marl. In October 2008, Mizell's one-time protege 50 Cent announced plans to produce a documentary about his fallen mentor. In 2008 Run–D.M.C. was nominated for 2009 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. On January 14, 2009, it was confirmed that Run–D.M.C. would be one of the five inductees to the Rock Hall. On April 3, 2009, Run–D.M.C. became the second rap act to be awarded the honor (after Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, who were inducted in 2007). It was also announced that Simmons and McDaniels will perform with The Roots at their annual "picnic" show on June 5, 2010. Simmons and McDaniels reunited for Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas in November 2012.

Allmusic.com's Stephen Thomas Erlewine states that "...More than any other hip-hop group, Run-D.M.C. are responsible for the sound and style of the hip-hop music." Musically, they moved hip hop and rap music away from the funk and disco-oriented sound of its beginnings, into an altogether new and unique sonic imprint. Their sound is directly responsible for intentionally transforming rap music from dance-and club-oriented funk grooves like "Rapper's Delight" and "The Breaks" to an aggressive, less-danceable approach. Characterized by sparse, hard-hitting beats—as typified on hits like "It's Like That", and "Peter Piper"—this would form the foundation of hardcore hip hop (particularly hardcore East Coast hip hop). As such, Run–D.M.C. is considered the originators of the style, and hardcore hip hop would dominate the next two decades of rap music, from the bombastic, noisy sound of Public Enemy and stripped minimalism of Boogie Down Productions to the thump of early Wu-Tang Clan and Nas. Their influence was not limited to the East Coast, however. L.A.'s N.W.A., on their landmark 1988 album Straight Outta Compton, showed heavy influences from Tougher Than Leather-era Run–D.M.C., and Chicano rap act Cypress Hill were definitely influenced by Run–D.M.C.'s fusion of rap and rock.

Early on, the group rarely sampled and rarely looped anything over their skeletal beats, and the funky minimalism of major producers, such as Timbaland and The Neptunes, is drawn from Run–D.M.C.'s fundamental sound. Rap rock fusion proved to be influential among rock artists, with '80s bands like Faith No More, Anthrax (whose collaboration with Public Enemy on "Bring the Noise" was directly influenced by "Walk This Way") and the Red Hot Chili Peppers adding elements of rap to alternative rock and heavy metal. Most notably, the rap rock genre became popular in the late 1990s, with bands like Rage Against the Machine, KoRn, Sublime, Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park and, most recently, when? Hollywood Undead gaining worldwide popularity by furthering Run–D.M.C.'s template of aggressive rhymes over hard rock riffs. Aesthetically, they changed the way rappers presented themselves. Onstage, Old school rappers had previously performed in flashy attire and colorful costumes, typically had a live band and, in the case of acts like Whodini, had background dancers. Run–D.M.C. performed with only Run and DMC out front, and Jam-Master Jay on the turntables behind them, in what is now considered the 'classic' hip hop stage setup: two turntables and microphones. They embraced the look and style of the street by wearing jeans, lace-less Adidas sneakers, and their trademark black fedoras. The group shunned both the over-the-top wardrobe of previous rap stars like the Furious Five and Afrika Bambaataa, and the silk-shirted, jheri curled, ladies' man look of rappers like Kurtis Blow and Spoonie Gee. Followers of their style included LL Cool J and the Beastie Boys; seemingly overnight, rappers were wearing jeans and sneakers instead of rhinestones and leather outfits. From Adidas track suits and rope chains to baggy jeans and Timberland footwear, hip hop's look remained married to the styles of the street. According to the Rolling Stone Encyclopedia of Rock & Roll:

“ Run-D.M.C. took hardcore hip-hop from an underground street sensation to a pop-culture phenomenon. Although earlier artists, such as Grandmaster Flash and the Sugar Hill Gang, made rap's initial strides on the airwaves, it was Run-D.M.C. that introduced hats, gold chains, and untied sneakers to youth culture's most stubborn demographic group: young white male suburban rock fans. In the process, the trio helped change the course of popular music, paving the way for rap's second generation.”

Historically, the group achieved a number of notable firsts in hip hop music and are credited with being the act most responsible for pushing hip hop into mainstream popular music, initiating its musical and artistic evolution and enabling its growth as a global phenomenon. Run–D.M.C. is the first rap act to have reached a number of major accomplishments:

A No. 1 R&B charting rap album The second rap act to appear on American Bandstand (the Sugar Hill Gang appeared first on the program in 1981) The first rap act to chart in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 more than once The first rap artist with a Top 10 pop charting rap album The first rap artist with gold, platinum, and multi-platinum albums The first rap act to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine (one of) The first rap act(s) to receive a Grammy Award nomination The first rap act to make a video appearance on MTV The first rap act to perform at a major arena Signed to a major product endorsement deal (Adidas) The second rap act to be inducted into the Rock and roll hall of fame. About Mickey's Dining Car
Mickey’s Diner was designed to resemble the railroad dining cars of the period. It is unique in that it is one of the first diners to be built in the Art Deco style. Mickey’s Dining Car was manufactured in New Jersey and shipped by rail on a flat bed to its present location.

Mickey's Diner has been featured on the Food Network series Unwrapped, Roker on the Road, Rachel Rays' Tasty Travels, and Alton Browns' Feasting on Asphalt. Mickey's has appeared in The Smithsonian, National Geographic, Sports Illustrated, Easy Rider, Playboy and Elle magazines. Mickey's Dining Car has been replicated as a collectible by Department 56, The Danbury Mint and Saks Fifth Avenue. The Mighty Ducks I, II, III, Jingle All the Way and A Prairie Home Companion movies contain scenes that were shot on location at Mickey's.

Mickey's Dining Car Review By Matt H. : Minneapolis, MN
Mickey's Diner is a local landmark known for both its looks and its food. From great breakfast food to burgers there something for everyone all times of day.

For the price you cannot get better and when given the option I always choose Mickey's over Perkins and Denny's. The food is greasy but delicious and the hash browns are amazing. My personal favorite menu item is the Big Eric (California burger) with hash browns instead of fries. Also try their shakes and malts. Freshly made and so delicious.

In addition to the food the atmosphere is great as well. You never know what types of people will be around you when you go regardless of the time of day. I have sat next to construction workers, bikers, tourists, sports fans, college students, etc. Every time I go the people there create a new experience.

I personally prefer going at off times with my favorite time being around midnight and I recommend this approach if you are in a group that will need a booth. The wait during peak times can be long.

The service here can be gruff but that's part of the charm. The staff will take good care of you and your coffee will never be empty.

When it comes to local landmarks Mickey's Diner is one that through its food, service, and atmosphere surpasses being just another tourist spot and instead is a place for tourist and local alike.

Who Is Miguel?
Miguel Jontel Pimentel (born October 23, 1985), who performs under the mononym Miguel, is an American recording artist, songwriter and producer. Signed to Jive Records in 2007, Miguel released his debut album, All I Want Is You, in November 2010. Although it was underpromoted and performed poorly upon its release, the album became a sleeper hit and helped Miguel garner commercial standing. After Jive's dissolution in 2011, he moved to RCA Records and released his second album Kaleidoscope Dream in 2012 to critical acclaim.

Miguel Jontel Pimentel was born and raised in San Pedro, Los Angeles, California. He is one of two sons born to a Mexican father and an African American mother. Miguel's parents divorced when he was eight years old. At a young age, Miguel was introduced to the older R&B his mother listened to, and his father's musical tastes, including funk, hip hop, jazz, and classic rock. At age 5, Miguel wanted to become a dancer. However, at 13 he began pursuing a career in music. At 14, he was writing songs and developing ideas with a four-track recorder he took from his uncle. In ninth grade, Miguel was introduced by a mutual friend to a member of production company Drop Squad, and he subsequently spent the rest of high school learning his way around a recording studio before seeking a record deal.

Miguel signed a production deal with Drop Squad in 2000. In 2004, he was signed by independent record label Black Ice and started working on his studio album, Young & Free. It was scheduled to be released on November 30, 2006, but was ultimately shelved. Black Ice released the single "Getcha Hands Up" with a video debut on 106 & Park, but Miguel decided to change his sound and image and walked away from Black Ice records. He later said in an interview for LA Weekly, "We shot a video, and if you ever see it, you will laugh your ass off. I have a fitted hat on and a white T-shirt and baggy jeans. I was 19 years old and it was the first time anyone had ever given me money."

For nearly a year, Miguel's manager at the time submitted several songs to music mogul Mark Pitts; after receiving a song titled "Sure Thing"—which Miguel described as a "highly personal...record that no one was ever supposed to hear"—Pitts scheduled a meeting with Miguel in October 2007. The following month, Miguel signed a recording contract with Jive Records. Miguel recalled that the signing of his contract took place in a "very small room in a very small office in a small corner of the building at Jive". After being signed, he recorded his debut album All I Want Is You, but was sued by Black Ice for breach of contract. Consequently, his album was not released for two years.

For the following three years, he contributed to Usher's Here I Stand and Raymond v. Raymond, as well as Asher Roth's Asleep in the Bread Aisle and Musiq Soulchild's "IfULeave". Miguel also released Mischief: The Mixtape; he explained that the title referred to his attempt to " tell people that there is an alternative to getting sort of the same thing".

After his protracted contract dispute with Black Ice was settled, All I Want Is You was released in November 2010. It initially performed poorly, debuting at number 109 on the Billboard 200 on 11,000 copies sold, and was underpromoted by Jive, amid the label's dissolution. The album's title track attained radio airplay, while Miguel toured as a supporting act for Trey Songz and Usher. Its following two singles, "Sure Thing" and "Quickie", performed well on the charts, After falling off the chart for three weeks, All I Want Is You became a sleeper hit, as it re-entered the Billboard 200 and climbed the chart for 22 weeks, before peaking at number 37 on May 14, 2011. It ultimately spent 45 weeks on the chart, and sold 404,000 copies in the US

After Jive was shut down and absorbed by RCA Records, Miguel was subsequently moved to RCA, where Pitts was named president of urban music, and received a new marketing team.

His second studio album, Kaleidoscope Dream, was released on October 2, 2012, to critical acclaim. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, selling 71,000 copies in its first week. As of November 21, 2012, Kaleidoscope Dream has sold 180,900 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. In February 2013, he released a politically driven video for the song "Candles in the Sun," the eleventh and last song on the album. (Read More)

Who Is Classified?
Luke Boyd (born on December 13, 1977), professionally known as Classified, is a Canadian rapper and producer from Enfield, Nova Scotia.

Classified attended Hants East Rural High in Milford, Nova Scotia. He started his own production label, Half Life Records, and released his first full length LP called Time's Up, Kid in 1995.  After years of working on music and sorting through label contracts, Classified produced, recorded and released his ninth album, Trial & Error, and signed a nationwide distribution deal with Toronto-based, URBNET Records. Containing collaborations with up-and-coming Canadian artists like Eternia and DL Incognito, as well as Canadian rap veteran, Maestro, the album was one of the highest selling independent rap albums in Canada in 2004.

In addition to the release of Trial & Error, 2003 and 2004 were busy years for Classified. With the continuous support of VideoFACT, he was able to release two additional music videos for the singles "Just the Way It Is" and "Unexpected". Classified also continued to master his production skills and joined forces with some of Canada's most prominent emcees, including Choclair and Maestro Fresh Wes. He also teamed up with Shady Records recording artist, Royce da 5'9" and opened for Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, The Game, Nelly, MC Grizzly, Captain Capota, Nas, The Black Eyed Peas and Black Moon.

Classified's tenth album, Boy-Cott-In the Industry, was a high point in his career. The album includes guest appearances by Trent James, Royce Da 5'9", Jay Bizzy, J-Bru, A-Wall, Spesh K, and Mic Boyd (Classified's younger brother and fellow MC). He has said he enjoys doing music with other people: "It keeps things exciting and there are tons of talented people in Halifax so you make connections 'cause it's not a huge scene." The album reached #46 on SoundScan's Canadian R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart. The singles "The Maritimes", "5th Element", "No Mistakes", and "Find Out", which is the lead single of his 11th studio album, Hitch Hikin' Music, were all Top 20 hits on MuchMusic and MTV Canada that year. The music video for "No Mistakes" won him an MMVA for MuchVibe Best Rap Video. Boy-Cott-In the Industry also earned Classified a Juno Award nomination for Rap Recording of the Year in 2006.

Riding high off of Boy-Cott-In the Industry, Classified released his eleventh album Hitch Hikin' Music. Produced like previous albums by Classified himself, it is arguably some of Classified's finest work. On "Fall From Paradise", Classified reflects on the difficulty of staying fresh and on top. In the hip-hop meets classic rock song "All About U", featuring singer Chad Hatcher, Classified shows the extent of his growth from his early releases. In "Hip Hop Star", he eschews the current bling-bling culture of popular hip hop to remind people that life is not about trying to impress others. The rest of the album includes guest appearances by Jay Bizzy, Mic Boyd, Jordan Croucher, Preacher K, White Mic and more. Four singles have been released off the album: "Find Out" (which won the 2007 East Coast Music Award for Best Rap/Hip-Hop Single), "Feelin' Fine Remix", "All About U", and "Hard to Be Hip Hop". Hitch Hikin' Music also received a Juno Award nomination for Rap Recording of the Year in 2007. Album art fo
r Boy-Cott-In the Industry, Hitch Hikin' Music and Classified's greatest hits album "While You Were Sleeping" was done by veteran artist Ivan Andres "Divo" Ramirez.

Classified enlisted the help of fellow Nova Scotia native Joel Roy to beatbox during some of his songs. The actual singles that Roy beatboxed for are unknown but it is believed that he can be heard in the single "The Maritimes".

In early 2009, the hit single "Anybody Listening" brought Classified to mainstream success as it peaked at #52 on the Canadian Hot 100 and the music video received heavy rotation on MuchMusic. Classified's thirteenth studio album, Self Explanatory received highly positive reviews from the critics and debuted on the Canadian Albums Chart at #25 making it Classified's first album on that chart. At the 2009 MuchMusic Video Awards on May 21, 2009, Classified won the MuchVibe "Best Hip-Hop Video of the Year" award for "Anybody Listening" directed by Harv Glazer and produced by Robert Wilson of TwoThreeFiveFilms. Off Self Explanatory, Classified would enjoy more mainstream success in early 2010 with another hit single, "Oh...Canada" peaking at #14 on the Canadian Hot 100 and was certified platinum in digital downloads by the CRIA.] Also in early 2010, Classified received three Juno Award nominations, which was for Rap Recording of the Year, Single of the Year, and Video of the Year. In early 2011, "Oh...Canada" received a Juno nomination for "Single of the Year".

On March 22, 2011, Classified released his fourteenth album, though it was only his second major studio album, Handshakes and Middle Fingers. The first single off the album, "That Ain't Classy" reached #45 on the Canadian Hot 100. The album debuted at #7 on the Canadian Albums Chart, making it his highest charting album to date."That Ain't Classy" also features in the hit EA football game Madden 12.

In 2013, Classified would reach the height of his music career with the release of his fifteenth self-titled album, which had debuted at #1 on the Canadian Albums Chart, earning him his first chart-topping album. The first single off the album, "Inner Ninja" reached #9 on the Canadian Hot 100, earning Classified his first top ten hit and highest charting song. The song has been certified Platinum in digital downloads by the CRIA. (Read More)

Clubs : USA : NV : Las Vegas : Marquee LV

About Marquee LV
In January, a few core members of the GDD™ crew ventured into the Nevadan desert in pursuit of higher levels of party. Vegas was our destination, and we were there on *coughs* business, to review Marquee, the brand new super-club from the TAO group. Marquee’s inside the Cosmopolitan, a brand new hotel and casino on the Strip, and opened on New Year’s Eve with a Subliminal Session from Erick Morillo, alongside cameos from Jay-Z, Kanye West and members of Coldplay. As expected from both Vegas and the TAO group, no expense has been spared with this incredible venue which boasts one of the most impressive residential lineups outside of Ibiza, including:

Above & Beyond / ATB / BT / Chuckie / Cosmic Gate / Dirty South / EC Twins / Erick Morillo / Gareth Emery / Kaskade / Markus Schulz / Roger Sanchez / Sander Van Doorn,  each joined by a grip of outside talent.

What Marquee is seeking to promote is an innovative nightlife experience, passing itself off as both a night and a day club; covering all bases in a city that never sleeps. Kitted out with a cracking custom built Funktion One soundsystem, we were there to catch the opening night of Roger Sanchez‘s Release Yourself Residency, and the guy absolutely smashed it. Seeming to be in his element, for a moment it felt like we were on the terrace at Amnesia, and it makes all the difference hearing a world-class DJ on one of the best sound-systems money can buy.

As a clubbing experience Marquee indulges you in an intense audio-visual experience, with an overbearing 40 foot LED wall behind the DJ booth, and an ascending drawbridge lined with go-go dancers. A custom programmed iPad inside the booth, allows each DJ to trigger streamers, smoke canons and other pyrotechnics from above and onto the dance floor, in combination with a build or drop. Half inside, and half outdoors, this Spring, Marquee’s going to be open in the daytime, with cabanas lining the outside area, each with its own individual infinity pool, so clubgoers can kick it while listening to scores of DJs on the outside terrace.

For some time now Vegas has needed a go-to club for EDM that’s open all year round, and I think Marquee may just be the answer. With recent shows from Steve Angello and Benny Benassi, it seems to cater for your regular Vegas clubber, while maintaining the musical integrity required to draw fans of EDM.  I’ll leave you with a final verdict from the bossman, Mr. Jonah Berry:

“Marquee is the next big thing to happen to the EDM scene in Vegas. With world class production, internationally-known artists and DJs, and a club layout that is largely unmatched by any other nightclub in Vegas, the new Marquee at The Cosmopolitan is sure to be the spot of attraction for all dance music lovers in Sin City. The overall layout of the nightclub is very well done: multiple bars, a great dancefloor aimed at an enormous state-of-the-art LED wall, and an outside area with another bar and private cabanas equipped with personal jacuzzis. I can’t wait to see what this place is going to be like this summer.”

One of top clubs in Vegas with different DJs nightly and with 4 different sections (boom box room, library, main room, and pool are).  I had a big party come here on a Saturday.  There were too many of us to go through VIP, so we were told to send the rest of the group through guestlist.  My friends were referred by friends to go through promoter Jesse Gates.  He is one sexy beast!  Eye candy for sure!  Besides that, he's an awesome promoter who takes good care of his clients.  He definitely took care of my entourage.  If you need a # for VIP tables or guestlist, hit Jesse up! text: 702..860..8229.  Definitely will be going through him for cabana/daybed services in the summer for Marquee.

Anyway, we came here when Kaskade was performing.  The set was amazing; he played so many good songs.  We didn't want to leave to check out the other rooms in the venue, especially because it was a very crowded night.  There were some crazy people in the crowd too.  Saw some girl fall from above the couches onto the couches.  Her friends helped her up and she just got up and pretended like nothing happened!

The bathroom lines were ridiculous loooong.  One of my girlfriends tried to sneak into the men's restroom to go, she's crazy too!  One of our friends walked by and said there was a hidden restroom, and so we were on our way.  Apparently, the venue let's you use this if you bought a table.  So awesome.

All in all, it was good times.  Until next time...

Who Are The Bingo Players?
Hailing from The Netherlands, Paul Baümer & Maarten Hoogstraten have fused their musical talents into the massive electronic dance duo Bingo Players. The two dutch DJs have created an international reputation through epic releases and a massive touring schedule. Bingo Players kicked off 2013 scoring a worldwide top ten hit with their single Get Up (Rattle), which was a number one single in the UK two weeks in a row. This success came after the original version of Rattle shook up European charts for nine weeks during 2012.

Bingo Players are not new to charting success. Early on, Paul & Maarten lit up the Beatport charts with a horde of huge tracks including the 2011 hit Cry (Just A Little) and most recently with Out Of My Mind. The duo doesn't stop at producing hit records and touring the world; they also run their own label. Hysteria is Bingo Players' label that is home to their hits Rattle, Cry (Just A Little), Out Of My Mind, L'Amour, Mode and many more. When they are not releasing their own music, Bingo Players are releasing records from their favorite artists including Carl Trick's Mad Dash, Ralvero's Rage and Gregori Klosman's Minibar.

2013 is going to be a big year for Bingo Players live. Along with their recording success, Bingo Players have over 30 worldwide music festivals under their belts including Tomorrowland and Stereosonic. They've performed at key US festivals including Ultra, Electric Zoo and a primetime slot at Electric Daisy Carnival: Vegas. This year, Bingo Players will bring you more epic releases, an enormous live show and something to talk about.

Cars : SSC Ultimate Aero

Cars : SSC Ultimate Aero

The SSC Ultimate Aero is an American-built mid-engine sports car by SSC North America (formerly known as Shelby SuperCars). The higher-performance limited production version previously held the Guinness Book of World Records record for being the fastest production car in the world, but the record is held now by Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, which reached the speed of 431.072  km/h. The SSC Ultimate Aero does not have electronic aids such as ABS brakes or traction control, as according to Jerod Shelby, "Early design philosophy on the car was to make it a driver's car. I wanted a car that you not only throttled with your right foot but at times you could steer with your right foot. "

The Aero and the Shelby SuperCars company are the brainchildren of Jerod Shelby (no relation to late racing driver and sports car builder Carroll Shelby), who started out building exotic "replicars" including a Fiero-based Ferrari F355 replica and a Lamborghini Diablo replica based on a space frame which later was used in the Ultimate Aero prototype. Jerod later moved from building replicas to designing his first supercar and after seven years it finally began to take shape. Both the basic Aero model and the Ultimate Aero are no longer in production.

The exterior of the SSC Ultimate Aero XT will boast a two-tone paint scheme never before seen on any Ultimate Aero and the will never be seen on any new Tuatara. The customer can select any two colors he wants and SSC will place one color up the center of the car, over the roof, down the tail, on the mirrors, and on the lower half of the vehicle. The second color will fill in the sides of the car and the outermost sides of the hood.

The overall styling of the car is the same as the standard Ultimate Aero, sans the wheels coded to the customer’s selection. It boasts a wedge-style front end that leads to a low-slung roof that swoops rearward to the tail,. The tail swoops upward slightly to give the Aero XT a little rear downforce and this small wing races to its full height when braking to give the brakes a little help.

Around the back end of the Ultimate Aero XT, you have the six taillight system seen on the standard Ultimate Aero, along with its center-exit exhaust system.

The Ultimate Aero’s exterior was plenty sexy, so we are glad to see SSC do only minimal changes to set this special edition apart from the rest.

Interior
There is not too much information given on the interior styling, but we can assume that it is pretty much the same styling as the base model Ultimate Aero, but from the pictures it looks like the colors are coded to match the exterior, though this is not confirmed by SSC.

As for amenities, you get A/C, power windows, power mirrors, tilt steering, 7.5-inch LCD screen, a 10-speaker premium stereo system with a CD and DVD player. You also get a full-time rear-view camera and a navigation system.

Engine and Drivetrain
Behind the seats is where the big difference is seen in this version of the Ultimate Aero. It features the all-new 423.6 cubic-inch engine that the Tuatara uses, boasting 1,300 horsepower at 6,800 rpm and 1,004 pound-feet of torque at 6,800 rpm. Also borrowed from its big brother was its cooling system and fuel-delivery system. That’s a 13-horsepower increase over the base Ultimate Aero, but a 108 pound-feet loss, which is odd. It does, however, rev up to a tout 9,200 rpm before hitting the engine’s redline.

Getting these kinds of ponies from this engine requires a pair of turbochargers pumping in tons of pressure. Keeping the forced air cool are a pair of water-to-air intercoolers, which do not become heat-soaked and therefore useless like air-to-air intercoolers.

Mated to the engine is a 7-speed triple -disc carbon clutch, which is bound to have lightning-fast shifts and precise response, and tosses power to only the rear wheels. This transmission does not have a traditional floor shifter. Rather, it has a paddle-shift interface behind the steering wheel.
