Who Is Heaven's Basement?
Heaven’s Basement are about evolution, growth and reaching new heights. Defiance, risk taking, and self-challenge are the bands hallmark.
“2012 will see us bust open the doors and unleash everything that Heaven’s Basement holds to stages across the UK and beyond”
Having toured across Europe playing hundreds upon hundreds of shows alongside bands such as Papa Roach, Shinedown, Buckcherry, Black Stone Cherry and appearing at festivals such as Sonisphere and Download; Heaven’s Basement are a band who’ve built their reputation on a setting Britain’s underground alight and then taking that energy to bigger stages across Europe.
“We’ve experienced so much in the relatively short and explosive time Heaven’s Basement has been around, we’re all from different backgrounds but there’s a potent chemistry that is created when we come together”
Their desire to leave an everlasting impression on rock music is fueled by one sole ambition between them; to reach the summit of their potential and to be regarded alongside the bands that inspired them.
“We’re proud to come from the country that has without doubt produced some of the greatest rock n roll bands of all time. There’s now a void that needs filling. Everything we do revolves around filling that void.”
Regions Of Light And Sound Of God Review
Having already toured with the likes of Bon Jovi, Black Stone Cherry, Papa Roach and Thunder even before releasing a debut album, it’s safe to say that British rockers, Heaven’s Basement got off to a good start.
Since their inception in 2008, the group have released two EP’s and made a few line-up changes including new frontman Aaron Buchanan in 2011. And the now settled quartet are preparing to dominate 2013 by starting off with a twelve-track, hard-rock weapon in the form of Filthy Empire. Completed by lead guitarist/backing vocalist Sid Glover, bassist Rob ‘Bones’ Ellershaw and drummer Chris Rivers, these home-grown heroes have pounded Europe's touring circuit and made history with a record breaking turn-out for their acoustic set at Download Festival 2011.
Now grasping a record deal with U.S. independent label, Red Bull Records (Twin Atlantic, Awolnation) their full-length debut has finally arrived. With the help of the hugely-talented and familiar John Feldmann (The Used, Papa Roach) in the Producer/Co-Writer/Mixing chair, their ballsy, boozy and brash rock'n'roll has been finely tuned whilst still remaining raw and eye-wateringly energetic. They have a style which pays homage to both classic and modern rock, echoing many stadium-filling bands that they’ve already been lucky to hit the stage with. Talking of which, Filthy Empire gives you but a taste of what a Heaven’s Basement’s live show is really like. Opening track ‘Welcome Home’ for example is the perfect intro for both the stage and stereo. They roar into action at lightning speed with wild relentless vocals, arrogant riffery and the attitude to boot. (Read More)
