About Hannekes Boom
The canal-front Hannekes Boom mixes a hip aesthetic with a sense of history. The interior of this bar-cafe is a patchwork of salvaged and recycled materials which gives the place a homey, relaxed vibe. Well-located behind Central Station, there’s a mooring space outside what was once a seventeenth century guardhouse where one can hitch one’s boat. Chilled out during the day, the atmosphere gets livelier as the sun sets. The place becomes more club-like with live music and DJs and the crowd are quick to take to the dance-floor.

I totally love this place! I went here for a drink on friday evening and its a perfect place to go to when you want to enjoy a little bit of sun with some good drinks and friends. The setting is casual and relaxed, there is plenty of seating area- inside and outside and the arty feel to the decor only makes it better.
I did not try any food this time but will update my review soon.
