Who Is Keshia Chanté?
Keshia's new album "Night & Day" was released worldwide on November 8th! Boasting 5 singles, the uptempo "Table Dancer", acoustic "Test Drive", sexy "Set U Free", inspirational "Shooting Star" and edgy "Edit, Cut & Delete U", the album is a smash! The 23 year old singer, songwriter, actress, Ford model and fashionista, Keshia Chanté is considered a seasoned veteran in Canada’s entertainment industry. Since age 16, Chanté has released two albums through SONY Music, having a Gold record for her debut release, sales hitting Platinum status, a Juno Award for “R&B/Soul Recording of the Year”, eight top ten radio singles (Shook-The Answer, Unpredictable, Bad Boy, Does He Love Me and Let the Music Take You, Ring Da Alarm, Been Gone, 2U), six Canadian Urban Music Awards and a Canadian Radio Award to name just a few. All that might leave you breathless, but Chanté’s resume doesn’t stop there.

She has also been the face of Sony’s Cybershot Digital Camera, Ontario Tourism’s “Yours To Discover” Campaign, Ecko Red, and has expanded her acting portfolio as the lead character in the 2009 TV series "Soul" (VisionTV) and has guest starred on Global’s “Da Kink In My Hair”. In recent months, Keshia has stretched her time between New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami and Toronto working with high profile producers and songwriters on her new record. When asked what kind of sound this new album will have, Chanté says, "It's moody and full of depth. It’s the most honest, creative and personal body of work I have ever created. I've honed my songwriting skills, and have taken the intimacy of my diary into this album. I feel I’ve graduated from being a ‘singer’ to an ‘artist’. You can expect some real musicianship and plenty of theatrics." Exciting times for this young entrepreneur who also hopes to launch her own clothing and perfume lines sometime in the near future. At this rate, Chanté should soon have her very own empire!
