Videos : Mavado ft. Jadakiss & Musical Masquerade : Just Like Magic
Dancehall artiste Mavado, teamed up with American rapper Jadakiss last year for the single, 'Just Like Magic'.
The song was produced by New York-based producer Musical Masquerade and is featured on the rhythm of the same name.
The accompanying video is scheduled for release to American television and social media platform VEVO on May 15. Directed by Antwan Smith, whose credits include videos for Nicki Minaj, Flo Rida, and DJ Khaled, to name a few, the video was shot in Miami, Florida.
In a media release, Musical Masquerade revealed plans for the release of the video.
"As far as the American market goes, we plan to premiere the video on VEVO, which is the number-one platform for music videos. We have to thank Marvment for brokering that deal and making that happen. And then after VEVO, we will target MTV, BET, and various outlets through Africa, Canada, and Europe," said Musical Masquerade.
Just Like Magic is the lead single from the Musical Masquerade rhythm project. It also features songs from Erup, Pamputtae, Ranco, Propa Fade, and Kafinal. The project is to be released in two weeks.
Just Like Magic is the second release from the Elements of Reggae album. The first single, No Other Like You by Rayvon and Red Foxx, topped reggae charts last year.
Plans are in place to have videos done for the songs on the Musical Masquerade rhythm project.
"We aim to go full force with video promotion and a campaign for all the songs and videos on the project," said the producer.
