Remember when you realized that Shakira’s hips in her “Hips Don’t Lie” music video are probably what makes the world go round?

The lady behind this tectonic movement in your shorts is Cheryl Cole. Ms. Cole is best known for being 1/5 of the girl group Girls Aloud (if you’re from the UK) or being replaced by Nicole Scherzinger as a judge on the first season of The X Factor US after just one episode (if you’re from the US).

A bonafide hit maker across the pond, Cheryl’s never been able to make a lasting impression on US soil. How her Calvin Harris produced banger “Call My Name” didn’t make her America’s highest valued imported luxury item in 2012 still beats me. But back to the point…

This visual .gift comes to us from Cheryl’s new music video for her song “Crazy Stupid Love” featuring Tinie Tempah. The single marks Cole’s return to the music scene after a two year hiatus. And as you can see, rest does the body good.

Though it’s not her strongest work to date (see “Call My Name” and “Parachute”), the song’s heavy horn section is likely to resonate with fans of Jason Derulo‘s “Talk Dirty To Me,” Ariana Grande‘s “Problem,” and Macklemore‘s “Thrift Shop.” That, in addition to the single’s ultra catchy “la, la, la”s, bodes well for Cole’s return to the airwaves (but probably not in the States).
