News : Chance The Rapper Catches Some Serious Blues
It can't be wonderful everyday, we suppose. Chance the Rapper has followed up the most optimistic song of his career with a song so unflichingly negative that it makes Chief Keef sound like Bob Ross by comparison. The verses on "No Better Blues" (as in "It don't get no better," ever) begin with "I hate my bed, I hate my home, I hate my job / I hate the wife, I hate the kids, I hate the dog," and just gets futher soked in haterade from there.
It's more resigned than angry, and it's so over-the-top and self-contradictory that no one could ever take it for being 100% serious, but it's still a prety heavy listen — albeit one with some very nice piano. Guess Chance really is one of those dudes where it just depends what side of the bed he gets up on. Listen below, but be warned.
