Video : Flying Lotus : Never Catch Me f. Kendrick Lamar
This week has already seen Flying Lotus provide the soundtrack to Aitor Throups’s intimate portrait of Noomi Rapace, which was a digression from the usual promotional shtick he’s been up to during the lead up to the release of his album You’re Dead!. One of the most exciting tracks we’ve heard so far is “Never Catch Me,” which features Kendrick Lamar’s rapping. The official music video has just dropped and it’s at once both uplifting and moving. The focus is on two young children who lay in caskets at a funeral and jump up to prove themselves as couple of the dopest young dancers around. There’s not long to wait for FlyLo’s album now, as it drops October 7. In the meantime, listen to “Coronus, The Terminator.”
