Four of us dined at Alux and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Our friends had enjoyed it the previous week, and wanted us to share a dinner with them in this cave. Our table was in the midst of what appeared to be the main room, next to the wine cellar, La Cava. The service was exceptional, and the food was delicious. The cave is actually part of a large cenote, and after dinner we spent about another half hour exploring a large portion of the remainder of the cave. That section contains numerous small, more private rooms for special occasions. There is even a large room often used for weddings.
The main dining area is large and, due the ventilation system and fans, it pleasantly comfortable, but it is not air-conditioned.
