News : Furious 7 Fans Criticize Iggy Azalea Cameo
Cinema-goers have criticised Iggy Azalea for her acting cameo in new Fast & Furious film, Furious 7.
Azalea appears in the movie for just 15 seconds, having only two lines of dialogue ("Hey, there’s the girl I’ve heard so much about. Where you been at, ghost girl?"). However, this seems to have been enough to infuriate many.
"Furious 7 was so good too bad iggy azalea had to ruin it!" one Twitter user wrote, with another adding: "Lol @ everyone in the theatre sighing during Iggy azalea's scene in Furious 7".
Last year, Azalea spoke about working on the movie, telling Access Hollywood: "I'm still scared of acting… Just for me to say two lines it took like 16 hours of setting up and going over and I definitely have an appreciation for actors now".
A rapper from Compton recently claimed to be the ghostwriter of Azalea's verses in her smash-hit 'Fancy'. The single, was released in February 2014, peaking at Number One in the US and Number Five in the UK. It was nominated for a 2015 Grammy Award for 'Best Record'. Now, rapper Skeme has told Sirius XM's 'Sway In The Morning' that he "had something to do" with Azalea's track.
Skeme had been described on the show as "Grammy-nominated" and "Billboard certificated", with the hosts pushing the rapper to explain these claims. Skeme responded: "That's what the [ghostwriting is] about. I've got a certificate and a nice ass suit and like four or five plaques."
After being pushed to confirm if he wrote Azalea's verses on 'Fancy', Skeme added: "We had something to do with it, a lot of vibe, a lot of push. We put trust funds up for that song."
