Cars : Infiniti Vison GT Concept
Infiniti has finally brought its Vision Gran Turismo concept from the virtual world into ours. Nissan’s luxury arm revealed the first “flesh and bones” example at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show as part of its first ever Design Night. Unveiling it in Shanghai was likely a nod to the Beijing-based design team that crafted the Vision Gran Turismo concept. Also shown were the Q60 and Q80, both of which made debuted at previous auto shows (Paris 2014 and Detroit 2015).
As expected the Vision Gran Turismo looks simply stunning. Of course this concept has no chance of going into production despite its good looks. Hell, it doesn’t even have an engine! If Infiniti does decide to make a true halo car, the Q60 concept headed for production doesn’t count, but the Vision GT offering would make a fine starting point. Since the automaker won't get its hands on the GT-R it needs something to attract attention, and a shapely grand tourer would fit the bill.
