Since finding fame on NBC’s The Sing-Off back in 2011, the guys and gal of Pentatonix have well and truly found their niche with razor-sharp a cappella-pop covers and mash-ups. Expect their fan base to widen considerably when the vocal group’s next EP PTX Vol. 3 drops of September 23. (They also have a second holiday record coming on October 10).
The first taste of Pentatonix’s new EP was a relentlessly cheerful cover of Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea‘s “Problem” but they surpass that feel-good fest with a winning mash-up of Sam Smith features. The group effortlessly combines Disclosure‘s “Latch” with Naughty Boy‘s “La La La” — creating something entirely new. Watch the simple but effective video up top.
