News : Austin Mahone: ‘I’d Keep My VMA In The Bathroom!’

Austin Mahone has told MTV UK News that if he wins an MTV VMA next month he’d keep it in his bathroom so “I could see it every day.”

The What About Love singer is nominated in the Artist To Watch category at this year’s awards alongside Iggy Azalea, The Weeknd, Twenty One Pilots and Zedd.

“Being nominated for a VMA is a huge honour,” he said. “I can remember two years ago sitting in my room when I was supposed to be doing homework watching the VMAs and you know I really can’t wait to go and see what it’s all about.”

This year, the coveted Moonman award has been redesigned by Brooklyn artist KAWS. On getting his hands on one of the limited edition figurines Austin added:

“Ah man, I want one so bad! I wanna be able to go home with one and say I won one – it’d be a dream come true.”

Yesterday we announced that Lady GaGa will make her comeback performing at this year’s ceremony on August 25
