Videos : Phosphorescent : Ride On / Right On
Alabama native Matthew Houck, who records dusty, sweltering country pop under the stage name Phosphorescent, has released the music video for “Ride On/ Right On,” a simple but pleasingly hypnotic track from his superb 2013 release Muchacho.
The fuzzy video sees Houck traipsing around an apartment in full-on cowboy regalia: as he steps out onto the balcony, and the camera gets the best view it can of his scraggly beard, fireworks go off over a late-night city skyline. Tongue-in-cheek, but still pretty striking. Watch it now.
