It has been just a month and a half since Arkansas native and Cherrytree/Interscope artist Ivy Levan burst onto the music scene and captured the attention of many with her brash self confidence and stompingly refreshing sound, her two videos to date gathering over a million views and seeing her rise to number one on Billboard's Next Big Sound chart in July, and she continues the ever growing buzz around her music with the release of the new video for her song 'I Don't Wanna Wake Up' from her debut EP 'Introducing The Dame'. Continuing with the noir-style imagery from her earlier videos, Ivy sings of her regret at the overindulgence of the previous night, the brass accented and hand clap driven beat of her self described 'swamp hop' sound framing the rich tone of her voice as she 'cleans up' from the night before, with Ivy bringing the video itself to a decidedly fiery end.
