There’s no debating that the new Mac Pro introduced last year is a beast, but the lack of a Blu-ray drive did bum some out. Storage space—between 256 GB and 1 TB—was also a little disappointing, considering how much Mac Pros are used for heavy-duty video and audio editing and producing. Fortunately, NuMac kills two birds with one stone with their BluDrive Plus.
The BluDrive Plus has an optical drive that can read and write Blu-ray discs, as well as DVDs and CDs. On top of that, 2 TB of storage are tucked away inside, with 100 MB read/write speeds and a USB 3.0 port for file transfer. This is all encased in a thin aluminum body that, like any good accessory made for an Apple device, fits in perfectly with the look and feel of your beloved Apple gear. In this case, the BluDrive, which comes in silver or black, can be tucked away neatly underneath the MacPro, with contours that match the tower.
The BluDrive Plus will ship on November 17, but can be ordered now for $300.
