Raven is a casual yet seductive setting for enjoying drinks with friends, neighbors and paramours. No matter the occasion or company, Raven is sure to satisfy local cocktail enthusiasts year-round. The downstairs lounge and outdoor smoking patio are open Monday through Friday from 5pm with happy hour between 5pm and 8pm. Saturday from 6pm to 8pm. The upstairs space features a live Video DJ every weekend, adding a contrasting kinetic energy not normally found in San Francisco cocktail lounges. Available for private parties.

Went here for my bestfriend's birthday. It's probably one of the better bars in SoMa. Drinks aren't too expensive, the music is great and cover is affordable.
If you are looking for a place that plays throwbacks and your fair share of ratchet music, then this is definitely the place for you. The music had us dancing all night long. We usually have the urge to leave to other bars but the music kept us here all night long.
Their specialty cocktails are also amazing! I don't know the name in particular but there is a ginger and gin cocktail that is to die for! The cherry popper is also pretty good! The one thing I will say about their drinks, is that they do hold back on the alcohol. Everything is measured with caution.
As for the crowd. It's a pretty homogenous crowd. A lot of Asians with bouts of others here and there. Definitely not a bad thing but if you're looking for a mixed crowd, then keep on looking. Monarch is just down the street.
