The Marantz NR1604 is a versatile 7-channel home theater receiver with network capabilities in a slim-line body that delivers spacious, realistic surround sound from a wide variety of sources. This receiver features support for next-generation TV displays capable of displaying 4K Ultra HD video. Along with 4K Ultra HD and 3D pass-through the NR1604 also features video upscaling technology to 4K Ultra HD. The network functions of the NR1604 let you enjoy the music library of your iPhone®, iPod touch® and iPad® using AirPlay®, and a wide variety of content such as music streaming from Pandora, Spotify, and SiriusXM. With the network functions you can also use your Android or iOS device to operate the NR1604 via the available Marantz Remote App. In addition, with the Multi Zone functionality you can even output music from the main room to a different room such as a kitchen or bedroom via an additional pair of speakers.
The Marantz Setup Assistant combines an intuitive Graphical User Interface along with a logical setup sequence that lets you configure your system quickly and easily. Via the on-screen text and graphics, you’ll have your system properly configured in no time at all, with zero hassle.
The rear panel of the NR1604 has been engineered for quick and easy connections, with the audio, video and speaker connections separated out into distinct blocks, instead of the usual jumble of connection types found on other AV receivers. You’ll be amazed how easily and quickly you can make all of the necessary connections to the NR1604. The multi-way speaker binding posts feature see-through connector barrels, and they’re color-coded to further simplify and speed up the connection process.

Connect your favorite portable device, such as an iPhone, iPod or iPad quickly and easily to the front panel USB port. You can also connect other devices such as a USB thumb drive or a portable USB hard disk drive to play your favorite music tracks. When the NR1604 is in standby mode, the USB port is still active as a charger for your iPhone, iPod or iPad
Via the RJ-45 LAN connection to your home network, you’ll be able to access a range of content sources from the internet, including Pandora internet radio, SiriusXM and Spotify music services, as well as stream your favorite photos via Flickr.
