The hip, modern Glass Bar at Madrid’s Hotel Urban's Glass Bar is a gloriously stylish space, achingly contemporary but also refined. The interior is dazzling, with an abundance of glass – as the name implies – and an impressive chandelier imported from Morocco. The striking transparent 'ghost' chairs are the work of Philippe Starck, and the atmosphere as a whole is fabulous and fashionable. The cocktails are equally well-designed and the Japanese inspired cuisine is delicious. Seafood dominates the menu: oysters, decadent toro tuna tartare and a divine soft-shell crab salad. Luxurious and exclusive with prices to match, you’ll want to dress the part.

I love this place. Whilst on the tapas tour, the guide mentioned it as being pretentious, but as it was on my places to visit I didn't let this put me off, and I am so glad I didn't.
Very unpretentious, the bar manageress was on the ball, warm and friendly. There’s nothing worse than walking in a place and not knowing where to go, how to order, but she made us feel very comfortable, instantly passed us the wine list and cocktail menus.
If you're a cocktail lover then you must visit this place. The bar works hard at making sure the cocktails are perfect, yes they're expensive, but you can see them perfecting their creations to make sure you get your money’s worth. A lovely little touch was the sweet modern take on tapas... very refreshing!
I believe there is also a restaurant and a terrace bar, unfortunately we didn’t make it that far.
