About Fabric Nightclub
The Building And Area fabric is found at 77a Charterhouse Street, London EC1. It occupies the renovated space of the Metropolitan Cold Stores. Smithfield Meat Market stands and operates from a site directly opposite and is the last of Londons great markets. The areas construction took place in Victorian times alongside nearby landmarks Holborn Viaduct and Fleet Valley Bridge. These projects swept away much of the villainous subculture of Victorian London, captured forever by Charles Dickens in Oliver Twist. Post-World War II, whole communities migrated from the area to satellite towns. A vacuum was left, buildings became solely used for commercial purposes and Smithfield lay deserted at weekends. In the fashion of the nearby Barbican Centre (for the study of The Arts), fabric has been acknowledged as a central component to the revitalisation of the area, which can now offer itself as one of Londons best instances of 24-hour culture.
The Club Fabric opened in October 1999 after years of planning. It has three spaces, two of which feature stages for live acts. The rooms house Europes first bass-loaded bodysonic dancefloor, 3 soundsystems and 5 bars over two levels and a total area of 25,000 square feet.
Friday nights represent an upfront music mash up, touring all tempos from hip hop to drum’n’bass, broken and breakbeat, soul to soundclash. A real treat for music lovers each and every week. Saturday nights' playlists consistently forge a path for new sounds and talent. Lose yourself in the freshest house, techno and electro sounds from forward thinking underground DJs and cutting edge live acts. Starting on Sunday, 8 February, Wetyourself will be making the move to our very own Room One at fabric, as part of our new Sunday night project. Bringing an eclectic mix of bass heavy electro, minimal and maximal techno, disco and house music, fabric on Sundays will soon be brimming with fashion muses, instigators and colourful "in the know" club kids, all mixing comfortably with forward-thinking music aficionados. Kicking off with a riotous and rather fitting appearance from Miss Kittin, on 8 February Wetyourself and fabric unleash a thrilling partnership, brimming with possibilities… but it does come with a warning: Monday mornings will never be the same.

Wow what an amazing club! We paid to go VIP at fabric on Friday 7th December as Fat Boy Slim was playing a set! What a fantastic night.. Loved this club! Staff were very attentive and service was excellent! Totally recommend doing the VIP experience if you want a base in the club and somewhere to sit and drinks brought to you. There is the main floor and then 2 others if you fancy a change of beat! People seemed really friendly and we didn't see any trouble. We will definitely be returning back to Fabric!
