Seasons 52 Review By Miranda P. : Fort Lauderdale, FL
My favorite restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale!
I had always thought this was an overpriced chain since it
is nestled right next to a PF Changs in a mall, but oh how wrong I was. The
boyfriend and I came here on a Friday night date and everything was just
stellar from the ambiance to the food to the service.
Next time, we'll make a reservation in advance; we were told
we would have to wait 45 minutes but our buzzer went off in less than 15. I
would also prefer to sit in one of the booths in the bar area (first come,
first served) since that's where they had a live musician singing and playing
the piano. However, our table outside was pretty cozy and we could still hear
the guy crooning to the classic sounds of Sinatra, Jamie Cullum and the like
through some speakers.
All dishes are under 475 calories, the items change with the
seasons and they even have a vegetarian menu! I thoroughly enjoyed a small
organic arugula salad (watermelon, grilled golden beets, goat cheese, jicama,
toasted pistachios) and a summer vegetarian tasting ("grains of
life," soft taco, chili relleno, giant asparagus, cedar roasted tofu, mango
chutney.) The boyfriend had a Mediterranean shrimp salad and they happily
substituted mango for the cucumber since he hates cukes. If it were socially
acceptable, I would have licked the plates. Everything tasted fresh and
exceptionally flavorful.
The bill ended up being around $40 for both of us (before
tip) which is a little steep compared to my normal dining habits but it was
totally worth it.
BOTTOM LINE : Bring a date, service is great and you'll love
everything on your plate.
