Who Is Rockie Fresh?
Donald Pullen (born April 16, 1991), better known by the stage name Rockie Fresh, is an American hip hop artist born in Chicago, Illinois signed to Maybach Music Group. He is known for his alternative rock influenced style of hip-hop, and his associations with recording artists Rick Ross, Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy, and Joel & Benji Madden of Good Charlotte.
Pullen was born on April, 16th, 1991 in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up on the South Side of the city until moving with his mother father and sister to Homewood, Illinois to attend Homewood-Flossmoor High School. There, he was given his stage name Rockie Fresh by his friends during lunch-time freestyle rap battles.
In 2009, Rockie began recording his debut mixtape Rockie's Modern Life in a small recording studio Chicago, IL. During the recording process, he met Andrew Koenig and Andrew Gertler, who became his managers and started APG Music Group, LLC. They released Rockie's Modern Life in December 2009, and followed it up with another mixtape, The Otherside in December 2010.
Since the release of The Otherside Rockie has been named one of Metromix's "25 Hottest Artists Under 25"and his music has been featured on The CW's nationally syndicated television show Nikita. He was also featured on Good Charlotte's project The Madden Brothers: Before The Fame according to Rolling Stone and Billboard magazines. In 2012 he released his mixtape Driving 88, which lead to his signing with Maybach Music Group on July 12, 2012.
On January 21st, he released his fifth mixtape 'Electric Highway', his first imprint under Maybach Music.

Rockie Fresh is in the driver’s seat cruising to victory with his ‘Electric Highway’ mixtape. The Chicago rapper, who is signed to Rick Ross‘ Maybach Music Group, takes listeners on an aural trip of weed, cash and women.
Among the hit-makers providing the soundtrack for Rockie’s journey include Lifted, the Gift, Boi-1da, Big Jerm and others. Fellow rhyme-spitters Ross, Nipsey Hussle, Curren$y and fellow Chi-Town emcee Sasha Go Hard are in the passenger’s seat helping Fresh move in the right direction with his tape.
One interesting track, ‘Superman OG,’ features the sounds of a lighter and bills flipping in a money counter as Fresh spits tough talk over haunting synths. “I got the team with me / The whole scene with me / I stand tall, no lean / But I bought some green with me,” he raps.
On ‘Life Long,’ Fresh, Rozay and Hussle rap about obtaining success by any means necessary. “My style is all natural / Bars is all factual / Want a verse, I’ma tax you / I’m spinning like I’m on an axle / Surviving even though I’m sick / Magic Johnson money s—,” spits Fresh.
‘Show Me Sumthin’ stands out due to Sasha Go Hard’s infectious hook and biting rhymes. On ‘Roll Up Right Now,’ Fresh and Curren$y rap about the commodities of whipping vintage cars and making money. On ‘Father Forgive ‘Em,’ the MMG artist recalls his early rap struggles and the haters who tried to thwart his goals.
Hopefully, Rockie Fresh will finish his long journey to the top with a successful major-label debut on Maybach Music Group.
