Who Is Atoms For Peace?
Thom Yorke supergroup Atoms For Peace decided to tease fans by putting two apparent new songs on Soundcloud, before quickly removing them.
Bandmember Nigel Godrich, who is a longtime producer for Radiohead, hinted to fans on Twitter that he had posted a new track.
Godrich tweeted, "We've decided not to put any tunes on soundcloud.." but included a link to a song on the band's Soundcloud profile, which briefly hosted a track called 'Time Was Dropped', before it was taken down again.
He then posted twenty minutes later, "Ooer. That was awful. How about this?" and added a link to a track named 'Who let em in?'. The text on the page said "We said no baked beans," and the tag on the song was 'difficult'.
It was described by Spin, who managed to hear the song before it was shortly removed, as "a sparce but strange song stretching over seven minutes and including an eerie combination of Afrobeat rhythms and disembodied choral vocals."
The song 'Who let em in?' was also accompanied by the photo of a black and white pattern, visible above. Neither 'Time Was Dropped' or 'Who let em in?' are on the tracklisting for upcoming Atoms For Peace release, Amok.
