About Lucky 7
Tom Conran’s small but well-rounded Lucky 7 plays homage to the American diner in miniature. With seating limited to six oversized vinyl booths, every inch of the remaining space is filled with chrome fittings, vintage advertising and kitsch Americana. In true diner form, there’s a big emphasis on breakfast, with buttermilk pancakes, eggs ‘any style’ and Tex-Mex huevos rancheros. Taking a cue from our napkins, which illustrated how to build ‘The perfect Lucky 7 hamburger’, we plumped for the bacon blue cheese and green chilli cheese burgers, served with ready-to-assemble slices of beef tomato, onion, pickles, lettuce and coleslaw on the side. Like our surroundings, we packed as much into the available space as physically possible. A triumph of engineering as much as taste, the burgers were glorious, the 100% Aberdeen Angus patties juicy and well-seasoned. Doughnut-sized onion rings, XXX thick shakes and banana splits continue the ‘big is beautiful’ theme in this bijou spot. After 6pm a cocktail menu is available alongside a small selection of American beers. A concession to the ‘no bookings’ policy is the takeaway service, well loved by locals and doing brisk trade on our visit.

Lucky 7 Review By Rohan And Sureet S : Central London
Lucky seven is simply the best and most authentic American diner in town. Although small (only 6 booths), there always seems to be space to accommodate. The food is fantastic and ranges from typical American breakfasts (Pancakes etc) to lunch (burgers, wraps etc). The pancakes are the best I've had in London and served, as expected, with maple syrup and butter.
