Videos : Ellie Goulding : Goodness Gracious

Videos : Ellie Goulding : Goodness Gracious

Ellie Goulding's video for "Goodness Gracious" was just released, and it is a Day-Glo DREAM. In a behind-the-scenes peek, Ellie explained that because the song's lyrics are dark, she wanted the images to be "bright and bold," so obviously, it was shot in L.A., capital of all of the above. The vid is both of those things, big time, and Ellie's glittery and glowing looks command attention, which is exactly why we've broken down each outfit for a look by look. Forget the freezing temperatures outside for a sec, and check out her cheery wardrobe below!

Ellie's first look is a sequined plaid jacket, which she pairs with a silk bustier. Her hair is perfect, but not ~perfectly coiffed~. No, I'm talking the most desirable bed-head in the history of the world. Her hair remains practically the same throughout the video, which is great, because I can't stop looking at it.

Her second look is a long-sleeve mini-dress, also sequined, which by most people's standards would be pretty New Year's Eve-y for a random night out, but she manages to dress it down with her baby-blue beanie. Look at those bangs under that hat. It's not fair, TBH.

While Ellie doesn't partake in the video's Day-Glo glory, one of her friends applies neon-pink lipstick. Glow-in-the-dark makeup has been popping up in music videos everywhere lately, from Beyonce's "Blow" to Demi Lovato's "Neon Lights". In order to incorporate this look into my everyday steez (as I plan to do), I'll just be forced to carry a black light around with me. WORTH IT.

The majority of her looks involve sequins, but this one, where she's perched on the edge of a bathtub, does not. The yellow-and-white number is obviously her bathroom party dress. Every woman's got one.
