This Brick Lane newcomer Apples and Pears feels hip and contemporary without being too aggressively sceney. It’s actually got something of a laid-back neighbourhood vibe. The late-night basement space with its brick-vaulted ceiling contrasts nicely with the more laidback bar above. From the inventive cocktail list, The Old Truman (named for the brewery that dominates the street) is a heady blen of brandy, fruit liqueur, apples and pears – of course - and lemon. The Banglatini represents another facet of the local backdrop, blending spiced rum, watermelon and chili. Perhaps inevitably they have a Jack The Ripper cocktail on the list, a mix of whisky, lime and peach liqueur. There are frequent live music nights and the staff are friendly and know their stuff.

Apples and pears is spread over two floors ground and bassment with a good sized garden out the back I love small intimate venues and this one is one of the best I think. Its Intimate and the staff are very friendly, the drink are very reasonably priced.
My friends hired out the bassment floor for my birthday last year (barbie and ken dirty 30th) and honestly had the best time ever. They alowed our djs to come and use there equipment and allowed us to barbie up the hole floor with all types of off the wall decorations. Had such a laugh. If you are looking to throw a party in the area I would say this venue is the one to do it in.
