As Rascal Flatts was just moments away from closing out the Main Stage of the Big Valley Jamboree 2012 festival, organizers announced two of the major artists that will be part of the 2013 Big Valley Jambroee Line Up.

Making his first appearance at the Big Valley Jamboree since 2003, Alan Jackson has been confirmed to play Friday August 2, 2013.

Known for blending traditional honky tonk and mainstream country sounds and penning many of his own hits, Alan has recorded 13 studio albums, 3 Greatest Hits albums, 2 Holiday albums, 1 Gospel album and several compilations. More than 50 of his singles have appeared on Billboard’s list of the “Top 30 Country Songs”. Of Jackson’s entries, 35 were number-one hits, with 50 in the Top 10. He is the recipient of 2 Grammys, 16 CMA Awards, 17 ACM Awards and nominee of multiple other awards. Jackson is also a member of the Grand Ole Opry, and he was inducted into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame in 2001.

Also confirmed, and making their first ever appearance at BVJ on Sunday August 4, 2013 at will be Lady Antebellum.

Lady Antebellum was awarded Top New Duo or Group by the Academy of Country Music and New Artist of the Year by the Country Music Association in 2008. They were nominated for two Grammy Awards at the 51st Grammy Awards; and two more at the 52nd Grammy Awards. Of these nominations, they took home the award for Best Country Performance by Duo or Group with Vocals for “I Run to You”. More recently on April 18, 2010, the group was awarded Top Vocal Group, Song of the Year (“Need You Now”), and Single of the Year (“Need You Now”) at the 44th ACM Awards. The group won five awards at the 53rd Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year for “Need You Now”. Lady Antebellum was also awarded the “Best Country Album” award at the 54th Grammy Awards.

With the final figures yet to be released the 2012 Big Valley Jamboree will go on record as having the largest attendance in 20 Years with crowds estimated to reach 90,000 people over the weekend .

There was laughter, love and dysfunctional relationships at Saturday's Big Valley Jamboree mainstage.

Jason Aldean, The Judds, Gord Bamford, Victoria Banks and Shane Chisholm shared the mainstage with comedian Bill Engvall.

After publicly airing their tumultuous relationship and working through their issues, The Judds swung by BVJ for the final Candian stop on the tour.

The mother-daughter duo bickered, joked and poured their heart and soul into their performance.

The pair mocked a man wearing a chicken hat while Naomi flirted with a security guard.

Their relationship was toxic to live through, but the live show was the better for their aknowledgement of the troubles between the two. The performance was moving, full of humour and most of all showed the incredible force of not only country, but the uniting power of music in general.

Their work towards healing meant BVJ festival goers felt all the passion the two could muster.

Bamford is genuinely country and genuinely a good guy.

Bamford earned his title of Male Entertainer ofthe Year from the Canadian Country Music Awards based soley on his performance at Big Valley Jamboree, but his musical talent is only the start of what's to love.

The family man spread his generosity to two lucky kids.

In back to back songs he brought up young children on stage, held their hands and handed over the guitar signed. This first was six-year-old Connor from Beaumont, the second waas a young girl from Elmford.

He could have got people two-stepping without doing anything but being himself.

He didn't need flash. He didn't need overly dramatic gestures. He didn't need to splice genres. His voice carried him through. Whether he was

Bamford walked on stage and the fans got on their feet. No way was he "Hank Williams loney" Saturday night.

He worked his way into people's hearts.

In case warm-and-fuzzy moments were too much, blue-collar comedian Engvall followed up with laughs.

Banks, the CCMA female vocalist of the year, was more about moving on from heart break.

She sang revenge anthems and murder ballads while sporting a new engagement ring.

Despite the happy news, there was pain in her voice as she spoke of her mother's death.

She thanked her fans holding up "I'm a Victoria Banks Fan" signs for their support in a way that made it seem like she was pleasantly surprised.

She had words of warning for her female fans based on her last marriage which fell apart-- don't marry a man who proposed by peeing a heart into the sand at a beach.

"That's a red flag," she shared.

Banks is the writer behind many country hits and treated the audience to a medley of songs she has penned that were performed by other artists.

Sparks literally flew when Chisholm brought out his CCMA-award winning Instrument of the Year. he fashioned an upright bass out of the gas tank of a Chevy Astro. When he was done plucking the bassline to a jazzy rendition "Kawliga" he turned it into a percussive instrument including using a sander against the metal.

Genre-bending country star Jason Aldean finished up the night.
