News : Lily Allen Gives Birth To Second Daughter
Lily Allen has given birth to her second child, reported to be a girl named Marnie Rose. "Quite overwhelmed by all the well wishing going on. THANKYOU everybody x x x," the pop star tweeted on Thursday after a deluge of congratulations on the birth. The Sun newspaper reported that the singer-songwriter gave birth on Tuesday to a daughter, Marnie Rose, and was "ecstatic". "Can't uncross my eyes. Unique mixture of tiredness and strong painkillers," Allen, 27, tweeted later Thursday morning.
She and her husband Sam Cooper, 34, already have a daughter, Ethel Mary, born in November 2011. Allen, the daughter of actor Keith Allen and film producer Alison Owen, shot to fame in 2006 with her single "Smile" and has since produced two albums.
She announced in 2009 she was quitting the music industry, and has since opened a fashion shop in London and record label.But she tweeted in June last year that she was back in the studio, and rumours have been rife of a new album.
