Jennifer Lopez's romance with toyboy Casper Smart has reportedly hit the skids.
According to US gossip website Radar Online, the Dance Again singer has hinted that the 'spark' has gone from their relationship, but the pair are struggling to part ways.
A source revealed: "Jennifer is pretty private about the relationship, but she’s been hinting that the spark is gone, she’s having a hard time ignoring the fact her head has been telling her for a while that this thing with Casper isn’t forever.
"And now her heart’s saying the same thing. They’re obviously in very different places in their lives, and Jennifer wants to take responsibility for her life and not repeat the same mistakes she has made in the past.
"She enjoyed the relationship for what it is, but now that giddiness has turned to sadness."
The insider went on to add that Casper's close bond with her children, twins Max and Emme, is making her decision to end things with the dancer even harder.
They claimed: “It’s hard for her to think of how to it explain it to the twins, they love Casper.
"Jennifer’s probably going to at least stay friends with him so hopefully it won’t be as dramatic as talking to them about her split from their dad (Marc Anthony).”
Despite these accusations, J.Lo recently spoke about her relationship with Smart during an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, revealing: "For me, it’s about having a great partner to walk this life with.
"I have my own high standards for what I want in a partner and how I want to be treated. I bring a lot to the table."
She concluded: "I’m not talking about the material things but what I have to offer as a person – love and loyalty and all the things that make a good relationship.”
Neither Jennifer or Casper have commented on the break-up reports.
